holy taurens we got a blue reply … been away for 2 weeks as i see nothing new ?
I turn sounds off and game still stutters so thats not a fix.
Ever since the dragonflight patch dropped on my pc,the game is ruined,it stutters when loading stuff,my pc is more than capable of running any aaa game on max setting but its struggling with wow, that was allways a game that run on potato, better blizzard fix this asap, not renewing my sub when it runs out in 1 month.
And tbh this expac is literally 0 things to do besides instanced content.
0 social interaction or new events like blizzard promised (since they dont have so many systems to create/balance) they said that didnt they? when it was time to sell df? hehe.
Professions are just a money sink.
support is horrible.
game full of bugs on quests,ui,skills.
performance is horrible, zones lag because people abusing sharding, game stutters and crashes and dcs.
story is meh, looks like a squaresoft game, they are trying too hard to copy final fantasy 14 or some disney game, this is a war game not carebear…
Can we please keep to constructive stuff instead of this useless ranting? This thread is specifically about the stutters that are caused since DF prepatch.
If 80% of your post is not even regarding this (PC Build? what have you done to try to fix it? Drivers? …?) there’s literally no point to it.
want constructive?
FIRE BAD DEVELOPERS AND HIRE GOOD ONES.
Have anyone tried this? I am curious if it works…
I mean if it works it will be another bandaid solution but till we actually get a fix for this issue…
It does not. In fact I’ve tinkered with all the settings in both Nvidia and AMD panels. Doesn’t matter what you set your settings at, it stutters all the same.
It does nothing, like all the other placebos.
just passing by to bump the thread!
BLIZZARD FIX YOUR GAME!!!
So any date for when we might be out of the paid beta and the game will actually be in a playable state? 3 weeks now I’ve been waiting and still haven’t even set foot in the new zones, waiting for this problem to be fixed.
My £134 collector’s edition isn’t looking like such a good buy these days.
I’m going to just post the link to the closed thread that had more straight forward information about a single issue instead of the free for all that is happening in this thread. Another stuttering thread
after today reset getting mega stuttering. Valdrakken city all time since release low FPS drop from 150 to 30-40, world boss today FPS drop to 20 and stutter AF. Disconnects during flying on my dragon everywhere and then need always use unstuck character service. Cmooon
i9 9900k, RTX2070Super, 16GB RAM and M2 SSD …
New weekly reset with many fixes, but nothing about this problem and it’s still the same.
I got massive drop… i cant play m+/raids/bg i put all graphics options on low and same… i delete WTF and help only 2h…
P.S. Valdrakken is 5-10 fps…
I’ve found that pre-caching the entire game in RAM before starting helps a bit with the stuttering.
The number of times it stutters is just the same but each stutter doesn’t seem quite as bad as before, so is a bit less noticeable.
So a small part of the pause seems to be coming from file access (maybe loading other player or NPC graphics as they come into range, as has already been suggested) but the majority of the pause must be caused by something else otherwise I’d expect pre-caching all game files to have made an even bigger improvement.
I have 128GB of RAM (I sometimes have to work with huge gigapixel image files) so I could test this quite easily. I used the “CRC SHA” util that comes with the 7-ZIP compression program. Right click on the WoW game directory, select “CRC SHA” then click “CRC-32”.
This calculates a CRC32 checksum of the entire WoW directory, meaning that every file has to be fully accessed in turn, forcing it to load into the Windows RAM cache. It takes a few mins to complete and at the end if I check in Task Manager/Performance I can see about 90GB has been cached in RAM, which is the complete WoW directory. Meaning that all those files will load from RAM rather than SSD which will be a lot faster.
(You can also do this by just copying the entire WoW directory to another directory or drive, but that will waste space and add wear to your SSD drive if you do it a lot).
If you have 64GB of RAM you could try caching maybe half the game files in RAM, but looking down the Data\data directory it’s hard to tell which are for player graphics or Dragonflight maps or whatever. I thought it might be possible to tell by the file date which were for Dragonlight zones but nearly every file in there has been updated in the last month or so.
If you have 128GB or more of RAM try caching the entire game directory though and see if it makes a difference.
sure,i will buy 128 gb of ram to fix blizzard issue,im even going by running (i leave my car at home) of so happy to know there is another placebo fix!
all my games run flawlessly, and this problems only started after blizzard new interns patch enters my computer, but sure i will buy 128 gb ram,no wait,i even gonna buy 512 gb ram for my all game!!!
Just dropping in to say I updated my NVidia drivers to the latest version - 527.26 today and I’ve experienced a massive improvement in game - including an increase from 60fps to 95-105fps.
Strongly recommend giving the new drivers a try if you have a NVidia 30 series card.
i have 527.56 that are even newer and same problem.
placebo.
its the game.
We pay for the game in order to test and optimize it yourself. Bliss
I have;
- i5 10600K ( no O.C)
- RX 6600 8GB (no OC)
- 22.11.1 driver version
- Windows 11 22H2 (OS Build 22621.963) all updates installed
Especially in Valdrakken fps drops very drastically. Many people did mention about this issue in reddit too…
