What are you talking about? I have a stutter that disappears when I turn off the sound in the game. This is fine? Warcraft has always had performance issues, but this is too much

WE CAN’T PLAY A GAME WITHOUT GAMESOUNDS… WHAT KIND OF SOLUTION IS THAT!!! (sorry for the deaf people who are playing) BUT COME ON… YOU DON’T DEVELOP A GAME WITH SOUNDS SO YOU CAN TURN IT OFF FOR A BUG TO MAYBE STOP EXSISTING… SERIOULY… WHAT DO WE PAY YOU PEOPLE ACTUALLY FOR??
This has now been an ongoing problem for ages, multiple people have and are still reporting this issue, many of these people also write what solutions they have tried themselves, but nothing seems to work… this is a problem on YOUR END and YOU’RE SUPPOSED TO FIX IT WITH THE MONEY WE PAY YOU
That driver version makes no difference for the stutter issue.
The problem with this thread is that people are posting on 100 different issues. So bad that they closed the stuttering thread

I’ve noticed something interesting about this frame stuttering problem while sound effects are enabled, please check this new thread and report your results.

I have 6 years old pc with gtx 950 and i54460,had the same problem when i had 8GB of ram,bought 4GB ram more and all stuttering and freezing stopped,game is now running perfectly even on high graphics settings
This stutter issue has nothing to do with PC specs. I have 32gb of ram so thats not the issue

I was following the US forum for a while since I also have the same performance / stuttering issues, especially in crowded area’s like Valdrakken.
Glad there is also a EU post, we should keep complaining about it until this mess it’s fixed by Blizzard. It has nothing to do with my system, tried everything… WOW is the only game with issues.

Getting bad drops and stutters. Especially in dungeons…
My temps are good. So its not overheating… I got 1 addon on thats up to date and even with that off i still have issues. And its only WoW this is a problem to me… So only conclusion i can come to is that the game is not doing great right now

This is possibly the worst expansion in terms of technical support. Have not been able to play this game properly since the pre patch for Dragonflight. These woke clowns at blizzard have no clue. Still not able to play the game for more than 5 minutes without huge fps hits what a bunch of unprofessional morons, just fix your game ffs and stop treating your paying customers like garbage.

Have the same issue, blue answer in the US forums said “some of the core issues are actually related to performance issues between nvidia and windows 11”.
Aye, happens, i can use my MacBook for a bit, wanted to see how WoW runs on the M1 Pro anyway, just couldn’t be arsed to download those 80 gigabyte. Runs pretty good so f…ar, oh sweet, same issues.
Wonder what happens if I turn off the sound. Oh look, get’s waaay bet…ter, oh dang, sound turned itself on again. Logging out and disabling Sound in the Char selection screen solved that at least.
So the problems seems to exist on macOS aswell, maybe because there’s a PC with Win 11 and Nvidia Card in the same room/household, or there is a completely unrelated issue with macOS and Metal, who knows.
I could also try it on an Arch Linux machine, but i have a strange feeling there might be an issue with Kernel 6.0.10 and Wine aswell, so i’ll delay that test as long as it’s playable with disabled sound

You don’t have to, I’ve tested different OSes and they all have the same stuttering. But yeah sure, it’s definitely our hardware!

It’s getting worse with each passing day.
From harmless stutters to now getting 2s freezes randomly.
Upon entering the world, game takes 2 seconds to actually ‘load’ and it’s frozen entirely.
Sometimes leveling renown makes it freeze for 2 seconds.
Today I normally flew across Azure Span and the game froze for 5 seconds on me, then it unfroze and it lacked textures and assets, which all loaded back up in a second or two.
Something is deeply wrong here and I can’t put a finger on what it is.
Stutters around Valdrakken are also getting a lot worse than before too.

did you try on same system with different gpu’s ?
Other people have tried exchanging GPUs - including from nVidia > AMD - and this hasn’t fixed the issue. If you have stuttering, it is very unlikely that changing your hardware will help.
