And if something goes bad(and with random uncoordinated pugs = a high possibility), they got no safety nets? No CR? No Hero?
Sure, even on premades - people dont “need” a CR. Just “dont die” but most still take the CR class along for “oh !” situations. And since on m+, once the key inserted, you are commited and no turning back…well unless you got a resil key. Everyone wants to have a good comp NOT just for “dps numbers” but also to cover possible mistakes.
Even MDI players make mistakes here and there…now take a guess how often rando pugs do it.
If comp didnt matter…then people would just take 3x DKs or 3x fire mages for whatever simply for “raw numbers alone” but check any meta or guides and absolutely nobody recommends doing that.
Meanwhile Vinscent = but its soloq so a win?
Its not about power to reject or whatever. If you made your own keys, you would know what I cant take first 3 randos who signup and expect a time.
You don’t push your own keys so you believe that when you get declined from a key signup = 100% party leader just did it on purpose because he is evil and he wants you to suffer.
Oh so the tank and healer will also lose their rating if they see a bad comp or the dps being so bad that its evident the group will be a failure before the first pack even gets pulled… but they are stuck with them because they will lose rating if they want to bail.
…
Vinscent tell me more about how tanks and healers will just flock en-masse to the soloq.
I love the idea of adding solo shuffle to m+ its such a better system than the download weak aura auto click LFG to join grps then spam 5 grps getting declined for 2hrs then youtube and then try again.
The matchmaking system exists to put you AGAINST other people with similar MMR. So MMR is a measure of personal skill. Not group skill. And that works.
But M+ too much depends on the group. So you have to tell me how a data-point that measures GROUP performance will translate to a PERSONAL number (you) that will determine which group you get assigned to.
First how do you measure group performance to begin with. Then, how do you extract the contribution of each member to that performance. And then that would be the number you assign to an individual.
And the SoloQ would do the same calculation in reverse to know who you are matched with.
Give details how you would measure all this. Otherwise its wimply wishing for Elephants to Fly.
that was the most boring farm ive ever done in my life. spent days in decline train cause not meta req to play discipline. Discipline can burn remove the specc from the game.
The LFG. Matchmaking eliminates that by letting people actually play the game
Want to know how random soloQ will work? Make a test run yourself. Take a +10 key for example, set a setting: min rio 2.2k for example. And invite first 5 people who join and meet the critteria, EVEN if they are 4 warriors+1 holy priest.
That’s more than enough to time the key if people know how to play.
You can’t replicate automated MMR balance using manual group invites. Matchmaking uses performance data to balance. That’s what will make people queue and improve.
Taking the first four people to apply with whatever score you’ve said, regardless of what class they play will highlight the glaring problems with this idea.
I wouldn’t touch an automatic queue for M+ with a bargepole.
Not to mention the key system itself would have to be overhauled completely to be able to become an automated queue system.
For the 1.000.000th time. At higher keys, you need at least 1 Combat Rez and 1 Bloodlust. Many pug groups also try to foolproof their groups by bringing more than 1 CR.
If the system gives you : Prot Warr, Holy Priest, Monk, Rogue, DH. You can just call “GG, go next.”
The argument for soloQ is that it will make queues shorter. And that’s not going to happen because very few tanks and healers will use it. So instead of re-applying for an hour in LFG, you will be alt+tabbed on youtube for 2 hrs waiting in an automated queue.
If you think this is a better experience, alright, go ahead and queue up.
