Min max mentality and TBC

You guys wanted Classic #nochanges and found everyone just min maxed and the everyone complained it didn’t feel like Classic.

You know it’s going to get worse right ? TBC raiding is about bringing the class/spec not the player.

25 man raids compose of 3 resto shaman , 1 elemental , 1 boomkin , 2 spriests. Very little melee , 1 ret , 1 rogue , 1 enhance , 1 arm/fury. 2 tanks , 2 tank healers. 1 priest healer or druid. 1 mage . Everyone else warlock/ BM hunter

I see all the rogues and wars in Classic got bad news for you …. melee ain’t that great for raids in tbc and you most likely won’t find raid spots. With the min max attitude it’s going to be worse , everyone is going to go for that god composition.

I can’t see people being relaxed on that at all.

Same in arenas , I can see 2’s being heavily dominated by resto druids the whole time.

Knowing most of this , if Blizz offered a copy of your classic char would you still go with your classic char or just re-roll ? I mean alliance raids will want 5 shamans in their teams … so that means a lot of people are going to have to re-roll Draenei.

I main Priest in Classic on Alliance but I can only see 1 option re-roll Shadow or just level a Fresh char. What’s your thoughts on this ?

Didn’t some guy make the complete opposite argument the other day?

No idea just re-subbed 3 days ago. After hearing about ZG release and TBC survey. I haven’t checked the Forums until today on postings.

I mean sure there will be A LOT of minmaxing but there will be plenty of room for casuals to do what they want.

I don’t see the problem. Or what kind of problems do foresee?

Casuals are the one’s who focus the most on min maxing. Never heard of Flavour of the month ? One class they perceived better than any other per patch so they all go level that class for that specific reason.

I spoke to my guild about what class would they re-roll too in TBC , oddly all 6 of them replied WARLOCK … coincidence. Doubt it my friend.

I really can’t see people being able to play what they enjoy in the pve scene in TBC servers. At least you got 40 slots to fill in Classic , TBC will be way more restrictive.

I can’t see the top guilds raiding tbc without an enhance shaman or boomkin in their group. Can you ? I can’t.

I think it’s great that you prepare people for the reality of TBC so they know what to expect.

Well look at the all the priest on Alliance 90% rolled Dwarf. As much I love Dwarfs and personally role play one on Argent Dawn. I don’t think 90% of the Alliance playerbase for that class did it for lore reasons.

So taking that into account yeah I can see very clearly tbc will be closed minded min max mentality from the start.

Yay, my time to shine! #hunterforlife :stuck_out_tongue:

Maybe you just rolled on the wrong server, I see non-optimized stuff a lot, and people with non-optimized comps still manage to clear content just fine.

Also, having to re-roll class and/or spec is actually pretty common between expansions. Like, if you’re elemental in TBC, do you really expect to be able to stay elemental in WotLK? And do you think your WotLK raid will still need 5 shamans?

That’s just how the game is. If the game went backwards from TBC into Classic, you’d still have a lot of people forced to reroll from a hybrid class/spec to Warrior, Rogue, Mage etc.

I wanted Classic, got it and still happy with it regardless of the min/max culture…

TBC might be good but it only leads down to what we all avoided in the first place…(retail)

Or maybe it just leads to, you know, TBC

Yes TBC for the moment… but it will for sure continue downwards to Cata and Pandas…and then maybe harley davidssons and transformer Gnomes.

Nobody wants Cataclysm, they’ll just stop at WotLK. Then we’ll see what the future brings. Maybe some kind of WotLK+? I wonder.

Classic itself was just the beginning of WoW. TBC and WotLK were the peaks, at least popularity-wise. Even nowadays WotLK is still the most popular expansion on pservers. From Cataclysm began the decline of the game, in most senses of the word. There’s little reason for Blizzard to recreate that part of the game.

When I started to play wow I discovered Outlands.

I will never forget that.

I was lvl 60, had played solo for a weeks or something. Never done a dungeon, didn’t know much about anything and was exploring the world.

And then I found the huge portal thing in a crater. Cool! I wonder what does, oooooooooooooh

Later that week someone whispered me something. I never understood what the weird letters meant. But I answered yes. And I was invited to a group who was inside Ramparts! Omg I hurried there to do my first dungeon and there was an actual tank with a shield charging around. Never even seen that before except once at lvl 9.

Anyway. The leader said “your gear” and kicked me. I was very upset. But I managed to get over it. How could I know healing power was bad? I didn’t even know what ability did, lol.

I have some seriously huge rose tinted glasses for TBC. And I know that and I am prepared, I will try my best not to have any expectations about anything if we get TBC Classic.

I would like to See a MoP server tbh I freakin loved MOP

I don’t see them skipping an expansion just to deliver MoP, tbh, unless the support is beyond massive.

Might be so but Classic is still the best game even compared to TBC and WOTLK who are in my opinion the only expansions of WoW. The rest was just mistakes.

Wont be long until we hear crybabies for the next expansion and then the next and so on.

Classic has come after years of waiting and has still more to give.

This is just a pure troll post… I’ve spent most of my wow time on tbc private servers and let me tell you we never ever brought such a comp to our raids. Not once did we bring only 1 rogue and only 1 mage. The only thing in ur comp that we used was one warrior dps, one boomkin and we tried to bring 5 shamans but 3 or 4 would be enough…

Despite what this guy is telling you, tbc is not at all about comp or even dps… It’s about cooperation. Find urself a good guild with decent players and you will be all good.

So stop spilling ur nonsense and making people upset over bullish!t lies, thank you very much!

That’s just, like, your opinion man. At least PvE-wise, TBC and WotLK have a lot more to give than Classic by far.
