Milennium Kids ruining my entire online experience.
Sjit happens.
The children are in retail crying about furries being in the game
But they can play robocopgnomes.
All is fair.
If the Classic community is full of minmaxers while retail is not, that means that Classic simply failed to appeal to enough casual players, no?
Then why would anyone expect that the minmaxers (majority) would stop doing what they find fun (minmaxing) to cater to casual players (a minority if the above is true)?
I would say if anything its the other way. On private servers logs etc was a conversation that was easy to avoid, casual guilds struggling with MC everywhere and on Classic tons of people are doing the pvp rank grind for a bit extra.
I suppose itâs slightly different since private servers were fleeting and this is more permanent but I would maybe say retail players who came to classic minmax alot.
So how do I destroy the game?
If horde didnât all jump the bandwagon knowingly and ruin faction balance to have an easier time, this wouldnât be a problem.
Both factions would have been more balanced and it would be slight queue time vs slight queue time meaning no premades or that premades would be much much harder to access. etc
Classic would have been great if everything was slower, and people cared more about the adventure. It is hard taking your time exploring the world if you want to be competitive.
A lot of people said classic is all about the adventure, and it would be an amazing journey. For me that is true but for most competitive people not so much.
Min-maxing in classic is basically like playing retail.
I respect people for playing the way they want to, if thatâs minmaxing or w/e, just as long as they have a mutual respect with me doing what I like (not being super stuck on bis lists and QUICK QUICK GOGO in instances), if they donât well I just ignore 'em, theyâre not worth the time.
I know loads of minmaxers who are happy to play with me because they know I will keep up with what t hey ask me to and on t he other side if I want to mess around once in a while, they do too. Not everyone is a toxic minmax buttface, itâs just a small minority making them look bad.
well human racials are basically useless for a mage, especially when weighed against gnomes. There is so little customization and so few things to do right so this is basically what min maxing becomes.
Diplomatic much lol.
Itâs one of my many weaknesses
Spot on. That is the main issue there. I see way too many trying to impose their view on everything to others.
I do min max myself, twinks etc but I never judge others and know you do not -need- BiS gear / BiS class / sappers / world buff etc to faceroll content until Twins / Câthun.
Naxx will be a step up in mechanics, but nothing too bad really.
âMIN MAXERS RUIN THIS GAMEâ
Confused face?
Is this your first time playing an online game?
If you pointed to a game with even 10% of the player base of wow that doesnât have min/maxers, Iâd point to a liar.
But I guess Iâm forced to see some validity to your point, assuming a very loose interpretation of "ruin ".
But the statement is akin to saying, ârain ruins picknicksâ. Well yeah, I guess thatâs true. But youâre not going to change the weather by talking about it.
I will give you an example. I have yet to sell the Sapphironâs Scale Boots that I have with me - https://classic.wowhead.com/item=13070/sapphirons-scale-boots
but I cannot do it even for 5 gold, no matter they are the same or even slightly better than the âoptional pre-raid bisâ https://classic.wowhead.com/item=13259/ribsteel-footguards
.
Please, tell me again how min-maxing and bis guides are not affecting the game.
Your for real?
Hehe ok.
Ur right, nothing more to say than your right!
Good evening.
Wrong realm, wrong faction or I would have bought them
Min maxxers are part (though not the sole) reason the game economy is messed up, they make instances less fun as trying to get runs that donât have reserves in them is difficult. Yes it may well have happened in vanilla, but rarely. Now everyone only instances (unless you get guild runs) purely for the item they reserve, some even leave rerun to start another group to go again. Getting runs that cover bosses outside their own narrow thought is difficult too.
The game is nowhere near as fun as the first time around. When it was lessabout loot whoring. (Though rogues and hunters have nearly always been like that in vanilla).
People demanding pre-bis for MC/Ony is just ridiculous.
So easy to do with all players in greens.
The problem with minmaxers is that they for some reason think the content in Classic is hard and therefore needs minmaxing, which it is clearly not.
And they will throw hizzy fits like 8-year olds if a wipe happens.
Weâve 18 manned onyxia now - i doubt thats particularly special on the server, but given i see plenty of larger groups mess it up - was particlarly satisfying as we didnât want to take pugs.
But then Onyxia is less about dps and more about damage avoidance and very bsic mechanics. Sure you may have to pot more/ bandage etc but thats not a big deal - I thnk it took about 8 or 9 mins for us to do it. Again its not a record or anything. but i donât seethe point necessarily filling the raid for pugs if you can have higher chances of gettingitems in smaller groups anyway - perhaps easier when doing it as guild runs as you knnow what gear people have and whether its doable. I donât have an issu with Guild run onyxias reserving the head or matts - thats common practice for guild run onyxias and differs from a full pug.
