because i dont want to play a generic builder spender burst spec that you want to turn feral into

i want to play feral, meaning the real feral, meaning the DoT-rot melee affliction warlock spec it used to be

So u want damage without burst? Do u understand that Slow Bleeds fit your needs and there is no need to change anything?
I’m not against bleeds but in current state they are too weak, and i realy want to see them ticking faster. I don’t care will it be bite or bleeds, just give me damage. Otherwise Feral will keep being hunters pet.

i think feral needs both , bite damage is fine but like 30% buff on bleeds wont hurt .

i see where Dreamkore is comming from we used to have 5% Leader of the pack back in Wotlk and MoP as baseline and nobody complained about it

if you dont want leader of the pack they need to give us something like an aoe roar that reduces all the dmg taken by 20% for all raid/party members in 45 yard range for 15 seconds.

what i would love to see is “Predatory Swiftness work with Cyclone again” to make feral cc more unique that only feral can do this which would be supper cool in mythic plus

Raid Utlity that u will know “oh thats a feral druid using his raid utility” lets say the roar i mentioned for example. Yes druid has alot of utility but feral spec does not , what feral brings Resto and Balance bring but even more.

i dont want to see feral without burst , our burst used to be incarnation and we used to have baseline savage roar that costed 0 Combo points for full 32 sec duration (if you glyphed yourself into it) old treats were cool 3 rakes on my target in pvp was nice . Natures vigil was an ability that healed u 50% of dmg you dealt ot the target so you can burst and heal yourself similar to vampiric embrace

Instant cast rebirth in cat form costs 30 energy , why not?

Innervate baseline , why not? it would feel good to give mana to healer in m+ or raid

Powershifting should come back , cause having GCD on forms kinda sucks but the penalty would be mana cost per shapeshift.

is my biggest issue so far , not just that the 35 talent row is a mess but a 5 min Cooldown HoTW is on GCD which should not be a thing imo and hotw should not be in that talent row but baseline for all specs

if they are smart they can make Vortex baseline for all specs give mass roots baseline to resto and resto affinity. Baseline mighty bash to feral and feral affinity cause maim is kinda troll imo . and when they do that they can make compliete new talent row lets say for exaple “Force of Nature” “Heart of the Wild” and “Natures Vigil” whola new utility row.

there are so many ideas how they can fix the issues , for exaple blood scent is a dead talent , nobody played it ever idk why a dead talent like that is still in the game. they should rework savage roar to work like a 3 min cd but it gives u 15% energy regen with 20% damage increase for 20 seconds

There are so many ideas how feral can improve in every aspect.

Don’t tell me thats overpowered cause we are seeing Desto warlock that was broken in every aspect of the game toping the dps metters in new raid once again , even in pvp they are monsters on beta

but i dont want out bleeds to useless

right now in PvP most of the time Rip isn’t even worth applying, if you just spam Shred, Rake, and Bite you do fine because RIP IS LITERALLY WORTHLESS IT DOES NO DAMAGE AT ALL

i remember in MoP, a feral had a fully damage amped rip, we’re talking savage roar + incarn + tigers fury, 5 combo points and BAM you applied that Rip and it ticked for like 8% max HP PER TICK, a max damage rip was scary

now a feral with full bleeds up vs a feral with 1/3 bleeds up is like 3% damage difference

This post is so beatiful and i want atleast a blue post here to say “yes, you are right. We messed feral tuning up.” Dude, especially the “bleed dmg” part with all other ideas, you got me. You are the voice of all fellow feral druids now.

I saw Dalaran Gaming’s video of feral pvp and the bleeds seem to be decent?

has no clue about feral , his videos about certan classes is total BS , Dalaran gaming is not good source for looking how feral is looking in SL i would prefer you going into Dreamgrove discord if you want guides or how class plays , there are mixed feelings in druid discord about feral but i posted my personal opinion what i think really needs fixing . no hate towards the guy but he dosent know whats wrong with feral im sorry…

they didnt fix the fact we got 0 raid utility and no bleed buff by 30% flat

feral is going to be the worst melee in shadowlands. F tier in raids and worst rank in pvp C tier . Blizzard needs to listen

i really hope for that ,ive been preaching for so long and even made a rant video about it i hope atleast 1 blizzard dev looks at the video and sees whats the problem with spec itself. i miss mop feral when we had so much stuff , i remmember failing a chalange mode at last boss but still i had so much utility , spec unique utility i mean , instant cyclone strong bleeds aoe huricane strong self heals Tranq, ursocs might, natures vigil , force of nature 3 rakes on my target etc. i want old feral to come back and i will stand my ground , they did notting in bfa about feral and now im here trying to make a change

Mixed. They addressed some issues and our legendaries look pretty nice. The biggest issue right now is that while Feral brings some useful stuff, Balance or Resto bring all of that too plus more. Also, most other melee classes bring a helpful raid buff but Feral doesn’t. So it is not that Feral is bad per se in terms of utility, it is just that others bring more.

Also, damage seems to be tuned a bit low but tuning before SL launches should hopefully fix that.

I wouldn’t put too much trust into streamers that are not actually playing Feral. I don’t know Dalaran Gaming’s videos but most SL stuff on Youtube seems to be click bait with very little insight.

Times they are a’changing… seems everybody tries to make a living of Youtube these days.

No, it wasn’t. The reason we were OP in Throne of Thunder (ToT) and the rest of MoP was because of

  • Snapshot mechanic on EVERY temporary buff to EVERY bleed effect, and
  • The trinket called Rune of Reorigination (RoR - a trinket from the last boss in ToT), and
  • Reforging, a mechanism which allowed us to change our secondary stats, so we could align our Mastery with the above mentioned trinket.

All this allowed us to have overpowered bleeds. Plain and simple. We stacked all buffs on our bleeds and Blizzard never nerfed RoR, so we had that most of the expansion. It wasn’t magic, it wasn’t “skillz” and it wasn’t by design that we ended with that playstyle - and Blizzard reacted by basically removing every bit of the mechanics which allowed us to pull those numbers.

What Blizzard has tried to do is to balance us around being able to deliver both sustained damage (bleeds, auto-attack) and burst (Bite and talents). In the last two expansions, they have “designated” us to single target, which was a gigantic mistake in game design, because it made us a bad match in the PvE meta-game.

Right now, we deliver a LOT of damage with Bite. I see them balancing us more to bleeds in SL, and finally leaving the stupid idea of us not being able to deliver sufficient AoE by design. These are good decisions.

Now, they need to balance the dps output across all classes. We’ll see if they manage that, with all the additional layers of complexity they’er adding in SL.

But design-wise, Feral is in a better place than we have been since the end of Warlords of Draenor.

We also have that for survival of enhance. Whole forum full with begging and these trolls they call devs are doing jack.
Ferals are asking already 4 years for bleed buffs so I wouldn’t hold my breath.

not just that but innervate and battle res in cat form and costing 30% energy
and flat 40% bleed buff and nerf to bite

yeah i know the feeling enhance has insane burst at the momment on beta the playstyle is nice and i hope you get survivability like you guys ask for.

i just wanna remove scent of blood and savage roar or make savage roar baseline but 3 min cooldown which would increase our dmg by 15% and energy regen by 10% that would feel really nice since we lost memory of lucid dreams in SL

the 5% buff is so troll , its triggering me really hard at the momment… just so sad how they dont care …

innervate would be an easy change but at the current point innervate seems pretty useless as nobody goes oom anyways. But that might change…
Battle res cast time is really annoying although making it instant probably would get feral more picked in dungeons or raids I think.

The problem is actually that the “insane” burst comes from chain harvest alone (covenant) it will get wrecked in pvp sooner or later and that leaves enhance with garbage dmg, garbage utility and garbage survivability. Feral sure has it rough but they are still in a better position due to the fact that they at least have a little more cc, self sustain and defense.

I think it would be way nicer to make berserk a 20% dmg buff with 50% energy reduc on a 2 min cd but weeeeeeeell not gonna happen.
Memory of lucid dream (at least energy refund part) should be baked baseline into the spec because when I smack the dummy on ptr I have like 0 energy to do anything, even with omen specced (which nobody ever will take).

bloodtalons also feels terrible but with 30% dmg buff it has no contender EVER

Feral was my go to second main but is in a similar sad spot as enhance so I don’t even know if I want to play shadowlands lol

but my personal oppinion bleeds need buff 40% flat bleeds feel so useless its ridiculous and raid utility and feral can be fixed and some damage tunning and covenant balance and gg its fixed

i also made a small rant video myself (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5XNQMOwO4GQ) and ive put alot of suggestions what can be fixed about the spec and i really want to be the voice of feral cause i dont see any big content creator like preach (yes preach cause he pushed the shadowpriest rework cause he talked with ion) talks about feral. if anyone here has any more suggestions i can write it down and lets give blizzard the best feedback

yes you are correct. Bleeds need to tick heavy and probably need to be a little shorter in return. Bite can stay good dmg but then you would need to limit combo points. If bite does less than a generator then you would also never use it.
I think we had a talent before that shortens the duration but buffs the dmg of bleeds. I think that should be baseline.

at this point it looks like they only do covenant balancing which they will ultimately also will fail with :frowning:
