My Feedback for Feral Shadowlands/Dragonflight

Okay Im taking it serious and saying you guys what we actually need.
1 or 2 of the options bellow should be done. If we get all, we would be just busted overpowered spec. I personally dont want it. 1 or 2 and thats all.
First few will be common ideas;

1> Make Leader of the pack baseline. Thats a very common idea. It would make us desired for pve, which we really need.
2> Bleed dmg increase, FB dmg nerf. That will make our overall dmg increased and gameplay funnier. Dude, we play feral for these bleeds. If we wanted impact dmg we would play warrior or sub rogue maybe.
3>Brutal slash completely removed from talent tree, and added as a NEW baseline ability : “A finisher deals dmg with your combo points INSTANTLY” So we can get primal wrath rip on aoe, and then continue with aoe instant dmg finisher. I just feel not good for spamming aoe rip when all targets already have rip for %70 duration. A new finisher would be good. AND it would FINALLY make feral druid viable and inviteable for high keys.
4> For gods sake increase the damage of trash. Dude, shred literally deals more damage then thrash with a dungeon full of big pulls. Just make it worth pressing.
5> Make rip return 1 energy on each hit. Or rake, doesnt matter. If you make all bleeds return 1 energy it would be dumb, but we need a regular energy regen increase. (just like the old set bonus)
6> U guys remember Legion trait that gave us %100 dodge for 4 seconds when we go bear form? Bring it back. I see none is mentioning about that trait, but i really LOVED it in legion. It could fit in so many places.
7> One 1min cd ability to increase our ST dmg. I have 2 options here, Feral Frenzy baseline OR an ability that makes our bleeds on the target thicks %50 faster for full duration of our active bleeds. A 1 min cd in ST rotation would really help us.
8> PvP talent “King of the Jungle” rework. Make it "Targets afflicted by your Rip takes more periodic damage from your rake/rip/thrash. Healing taken and other stuff just makes it a dead talent which none will ever use.
9> Make “Might Bash” baseline for feral and guardian. Give us “your next cyclone is instant cast, castable in cat form” talent in return. Make it 1 min cd, if you think thats so powerfull, just imagine blind of rogue and chill.
10> I would like to see all affinities are removed and all those “affinity” abilites made druid baseline. Most of them are pure druidic abilities anyway. Just add some random utilities there, its an extra, it would never be done without a big patch. But just saying.

As i said, Im not telling making all of these changes are needed. Just atleast 1-2 of them would make us happy. Even 3-4 wouldnt be so bad for the other classes.

I hope a blue post just answers me; “Wow, we actually never thought about that.”

Played a bit of feral today with the patch.
the spec feels fine. bloodtalons is not that bad once you have all your weak auras set up, it kinda flows. both predator with primal wrath and sabertooth with brutal slash feel ok, the timings are a bit tight but they work.
healing with resto affinity is kinda ridiculous, swiftmend healing for 30% of HP non crit every 15 seconds, regrowth is like 10% instant hp non crit, rejuv 15% non crit.

it isn’t all that bad, except for the damage which is kinda sucky :frowning:

I am basically a newcomer and I think you are a bit wrong… I was looking for a gameplay and the idea of being a dot meele interested me. But my friends told me Feral druid is not good a presuade me to make a mage frost… after a month I stopped playing. After sometime I returned alone and started playing as Feral and it wasn’t easy at the start, but I enjoy it. I loved trying to find ways how to do it better and it not being “there are 3 op abilities that kill everything” and when I started to get serious with it I looked for help online.
Making it super easy won’t give much to gameplay, it will make it much worse. The thing is… it can’t be gameplay>dps, nor dps>gameplay, it must be between. Samely with difficulty of spec, you can’t have overwhelmingly hard rotation, but only pressing buttons not even thinking about it, doesn’t feel really rewarding as well.
At least that is by me, everyone has different interests.

This is the case each time a pre-patch lands before new expansion.
Resto affinity starts off very strong and then ends up healing less than 10% of your total HP. :stuck_out_tongue:

As for Feral itself so far my only problem is im energystarving while berserking.

Yeah and it’s nerfed pretty badly in pvp…
I mean on the one had you have a shadowpriest or retri pala who can top themselves off in 1-2 casts, but as a druid you run out of mana before that happens.
It’s not awesome it’s not as good as it could be, we’re still undertuned, but it’s not unplayable.
The rotation is there, it’s not too hard, but not too easy either. There’s potential, but sadly I don’t think it’s going to get better :frowning:
Time to dust off the ol’ rogue I guess

My biggest frustration at the moment in PvP not just that but our bleeds are sooo bad it’s so ridiculous…

we all do , trust me it hurts me to see my spec on bottom in every single content in the game

-get rid of snapshotting
-remove bloodtalons
-make bleeds powerful
-make talent choice matter

Shadow Talent rework is a good example. You actually have a CHOICE

Realizing this thread began in april, and seeing what they have done now honestly just shows the lack of interest from blizz or influencers to address the problem… besides obvious feral players the rest of the community only seem to respond with they will fix it with expansion systems… really sucks seeing feral in the state it is

  • Taste for Blood Ferocious Bite deals 3.0% 2.0% increased damage for each of your Bleeds on the target.

  • Ferocious Wound Attacking with a 5 combo point Ferocious Bite reduces the target’s maximum health by up to 10% 5% for 30 sec, stacking up to 2 3 times. Ferocious Wound can only be active on one target at once. PvP Talent. PvP Talent. Requires Druid. Requires level 10.

We ask for buffs, we get nerfs. For lowest performing dps spec beta going great…

I know this can be hard to comprehend, but:

Blizzard is trying to BALANCE all classes, across all covenants and conduits/soulbinds and whateverthef!cktheycalltheirnewsystems.

This patch, they nerfed Shadow Priest’s dps severely - at the class level. They also nerfed a LOT of covenant/conduit/soulbind abilities. This will go on until launch.

Right now, they need to nerf a lot of dps specs. They simply do too much damage. How can I say this? Because at fairly high M+ keys, these dps specs completely trivialise the content. That’s why.

Druid is now a 3 spec class (some would argue it has been for a while).

They always TRY to balance classes. Strong emphasis on TRY. Feral has been garbage for so friggin long, at this point why not just slap a huge +% buff on ferals? Would it be so wrong to have them be among top 3 for once? Answer is yes, because obviously the devs responsible for balancing have some sort of personal vendetta towards feral. Nothing else makes sense to me, it has to be pure disgust towards ferals for them. I don’t get it.

The one truly unique thing feral had in pvp and they gutted that too.
It’s now worse than it was since it was introduced, harder to apply because it takes 3 ferocious bites, and less ho reduction going from 16 to 15.

By the time they are done with class tuning we will all be playing shadowpriest for the novelty, lock and mage for the damage.

It’s like every week we’re descending to a lower circle of hell.

my best friend that plays feral all his life from the vanilla wants to commit suicide because of the blizzard nerfs even more that weak class. Like really, it seems that they hate cats.

i’m not even sure they hate them at this moment.
they just have no clue what they are doing.
who knows what logs they are looking at or how they determine “hmmmmmmm, this spec seems to strong, let’s turn those tuning knobs to the left a bit”

Its pretty brainless I also moaned about the spec in my own post recently

What boggles my mind is how people who don’t know the spec think its purely based on stats/current damages

Yet they don’t know that our literal rotation has been forced into a manner when taking bloodtalons as a talent… you literally need to aoe to get the buff, if you soloing a boss, pvp, whatever you doing you now have to aoe…

When people can finally understand that, then move onto the fact that not only do we have to waste 45 energy on an ability that we might not need, we still need to regain our energy again just to use 4/5 points…

Once we can move past that and blizzard or a dev could answer why feral is the only spec in the entire game forced to do pointless things just for a buff…

If any other class had to do some form of aoe before they could do their burst, or had to waste resource on some arbitrary aoe spell just to cast their big damage… the community would be in a uproar… but no its a small minority

I just cant… imagine playing destro lock and needing to cast rain of fire on a single target before chaos bolt…

What about rogues… just cast blade shuriken before excute… why well cause thats your playstyle now

Shadow priest… well just aoe beam the boss cause reasons… then you can voidform…

Shammies… well just cast chain lightning… don’t ask questions then you can earthshock

I honestly can’t even begin to understand the logic

Hello everyone , im here to tell you how much feedback is getting ignored for feral, for two expansions straight we will be the bottom and laughing post for meta players , we do not ask to be the best spec in the game but give us a purpose in raids give us a raid buff aura if you are against “Leader of the pack 5% crit buff for whole raid” then give us something like "if you got atleast 1 bleed on your target everyone in the raid bypasses 5% armor on the target .

The state of feral in general , Bleeds feel so bad and Rogues weakest bleed hits same as ferals strongest bleed “Rip” , bleeds need to get buffed heavily and nerf bite damage in half , reduce energy cost on some abilites or buff energy regeneration. I am a mythic cutting edge feral myself , i know the class is about snapshoting and pooling energy correctly but feral is only viable when we have our 3 min cooldown active outside of that we are energy starved.

Also i saw this on US forums aswell and i wanna point it out so people that say “Feral is fine” understand where i am comming from this is comment from “Lýnxx” from US forums

Most common misconceptions in the Feral community – that we have no utility. NO! We have so much! We just don’t have any UNIQUE utility. That’s the problem here. Druid has 3 other specs and we need to compete against each of them. We’re supposed to have the same utility as other druids, right? Wrong! Balance and Restoration have Innervate, which we can’t access by any means. Balance has trees. We don’t. And on top of that they ALL get Stampeding Roar, in BfA a feature of Guardian/Feral, the best raid mobility cooldown in the game. Really? I feel it’s a joke. Give us something in return.

The removal of energy reduction on berserk made it much, much slower. I mean, it’s supposed to be our big damage moment, right? But now I’m constantly pooling energy. „Hey, what are you doing there? Why are you auto attacking the boss during his vulnerable phase?” How should I answer? „Hey, I’m waiting, because I got tired… Just a moment, bitte”? I know it will get much better, the more secondary stats we get. With haste comes energy, with crit comes faster combo point generation. But for now? It’s too slow. I see other classes tossing whatever they have and I just… stand there, waiting, precious seconds pass… At the end I don’t make much use of it. Just because of energy. Why is it 3 minute cooldown then?""

This is what i wanted everyone to see how feral is , to open your eyes to see how bad we are in Shadowlands, we are not asking for much , we are not asking for rework or anything like that , but damage on bleeds that can be easy fixed , Unique spec utility and energy starvation problem mentioned above from the Us Forum posted. I want community to see the problems this spec has and i want people to help us be loud so they fix us. We are underplayed spec since its complex and in a bad state in Shadowlands we need to have a voice and i want community to help us Feral Druids.

there is soo much ideas and feedback aswell on just Druid forums alone , so much discussion and so many ideas and every beta build i see is legit notting that will change the problems we have.

I really hate how some simple classes are top dps and complex ones on the bottom.

I think that most ferals would agree to lower the bite damage and buff the bleed damage.
