And let’s not forget: Originally, we used mana to shift into forms. So we could run OOM from shifting! That can’t happen anymore, which is awesome!

Caster Form spells have a longer GCD. 1.5secs.
I.e. you’re wasting more time.
PS: that is under the assumption that the Cat Form CD is 1sec (as it should be) and not 1.5sec.
Regardless, what if I dont want to waste mana on Rejuv (or if Im Guardian Affinity), or if there’s just no one to heal atm. I want to do damage, not heal.
It’s just incredibly clunky. There’s a reason that in the previous, much better, iterations of Feral we had powershifting.
We do have a CD tied to this mechanic. The CD is 1sec + 1sec to use abilities once form has been re-entered.
Most classes re-slow you almost instantly so gl having to shapeshift repeatedly, youre essentially CCing yourself.
In the end it sounds like you havnt played competitive PvP in the last 6 or so years.
No slow on Shred + no Powershifting makes for horrible gameplay.

The removal of powershifting is the single worst thing to ever happen to ferals, feeling it even more atm trying to catch those damn fire mages.

feral is underpreforming in pvp so hard , the class representation in pvp is extremely low like 2.4% and boomkin overlords dominating mythic + and raids .
i hardly get into keys due boomkin utility and if i wanna pug hc raid im asked this question " Boomy?" if i say no i get declined with almost 220 ilvl

I would like to see no gcd on shapeshifting like it was back in the day. But I do wonder if that would be too strong at the same time… I mean, I know we have a laughable slow, but us being able to pretty much stick on a target might also a be a bit too much but that’s all just speculation. I wouldnt know if it really be that strong since in pvp we also dont want to go warrior like and zugzug on one target.
I do feel were in a pretty good spot in pvp. Stop saying we dont have burst without convoke. It’s not true, with the eye lego, berserk and tigers fury you can chug in 3 ferocious bites in a row. If the target doesnt have any defensive up that’s easily over 50% of the damage done.
I hear people say that feral isnt as hard to play as it was like back In the day, but if i compare feral to other specs, i do think it’s harder to play then other specs. So much that we have to keep track of. Just as biting above 50 energy is a thing for feral, while a rogue could just be eviscerate a target without thinking about it, just to kill him.
I say this a lot of times because I know people are judgemental on the forums. I know I am not high rated myself so maybe I am not the one to speak. But I feel that we ferals are in a pretty nice spot. We have nice burst, we have nice off healing and we can even be very tanky.
Yep, they are kinda bad compared to Boomkin. Same with hunter- why play crappy spec like BM if you got Marksmanship lol.
my bleeds do the same dmg as my autoattacks, thats kinda troll

Yeah we are only viable in bite windows and outside we are just afk. I mean primal wrath ability sounds great but RIP does 0 damage not just RIP but rake and thrash, back in mop thrash gave debuff for 20% more physical damage or reduce targets physical damage dont remember correctly but I know thrash had its use , infection wound would need a buff from 20% back to 50%
Our bleeds just get mitigated by the passive self healing of most classes, or at least that’s the way it feels.

Ok so what you guys are saying is now is a bad time to have just bought SL with the intention of levelling my feral Druid?
To be clear I will only be doing casual content such as for and normal bg’s.
You’ll be fine.
It’s just that mechanically it doesn’t feel good like it used to and arena is a pain. If you just want to kill people in bgs you can have a lot of fun
