Why does it work in other games then?
Player being friendly and all?
FFXIV has the sprout System. People generally are friendly to those players.
The playerbase is already trying very hard. You can not change skill. By far the mayority needs gear for certain difficulties.
There are tons of friendly communities though.
FFXIV donât have gear gatekeeped behind hardest difficulty (ultimate).
Savage is probably on the same level as wow heroic but much easier in terms of organizing raid group.
If you could get best gear from heroic and +15 keys and mythic and higher keys were for just for prestige game would be much less toxic because mediocre players wouldnât feel the need to get into content above their level.
Also that would solve endless âkeys are easier than raidsâ debate.
But that wonât make 1% hardcore players happy at all and blizzard is focused on making game for them for some reason.
Sure, but most of them donât focus on hardest content at all. Iâm yet to see friendly mythic raiding guild that can actually clear the raid before all the nerfs.
⊠What.
Iâve never been flamed as hard in WoW as I was in FFXIV when I just started playing it and didnât understand cleric stance dancing, I was frequently healing when cleric stance was active and was dpsing with it off.
That is why the phrase âread your tooltipsâ existsâŠ
âOh, you new to the game? Just read the tooltip and innately understand what mnd and int does when theyâre swapped around lol noobâ and basically âlol you should know to not use cleric stance at x and y point even though youâre new to the gameâ.
Really?
I had absolutely no clue what mnd or int did when I just started playing the game.
Someone not understanding an ability or stats while levelling for the first time is absolutely no reason to flame them.
More like more neutral and âexpecting the worstâ attitude towards them. âoh a sproutâŠand a tank no less. Right. Small unsure pulls and hope he at least knows where to goâ.
Doesnât guarantee that anyone will actually help you.
I am a casual fella that just gets KSM. This sort of feels like it may actually kill m+ for me. I hope i am wrong.
No deterministic loot + depletion making key lose 1 level; these two reasons were already pushing me away from m+, this might do the final push.
Talking M+ Loot, Changes, & New Dungeons W/ Growl, Dorki & Xyronic - YouTube
I think YumyTV (Growl) says it best in this video. People just love easy content. Whenever you ask ppl what their favourite dungeon is people will just pick whatever ones are short and easy.
The streamers here mostly disagree with me overall. They like the loot changes and mostly would disagree with what I say.
After having tested 3 of the new dungeons, it will be interesting to see what happens in the new season. Things will definitely be harder for healers.
New Affix is just kinda bleh now, pointless to even have it at all in my opinion.
I still think the bloat is a major mistake. 2-10 keys will still be a complete joke. It will be pointless bloat that does nothing but waste peopleŽs time in my opinion. Having to do these keys on clown difficulty just to get IO so you can get invited to content where boss abilities matter⊠Just a complete waste of everyoneŽs time. Especially with BlizzardŽs moronic two week system.
I do not see the point of these keys even existing in their current form. They will only teach players anything if the DPS do not know their rotations or if the healer does not know how to press dispel.
Some might say, AHA, now you are being elitist!! But the point I am making is that instead of the current 2-10 it should be condensed down to 2 to 6.
There are 12 ilvl segments in m+, therefore m12 should be max loot point.
Every key would be noticeably more difficult and there would be no loot overlap.
Yeah this sounds good to me. Could add in the first affix at 2-4 second at 5-7 and then have season affix at 8+.
I honestly disagree with this. Yeah some people love easy content. As a casual Iâll say this; I am okay with difficult content as long as its rewarding.
Think it was s1 when i initially thought of raiding and gave it a try. We took down 4 bosses, it took 3.5 hours. In return what i got was a disgustingly statted item (like mastery crit or vers crit). It felt so bad. Thus, imo, difficult content is not rewarding. Or rather; to me, its not worth the effort.
In GW2 for example I can aim for a spesific item. Gearing is mostly deterministic. It feels so good to not get duplicate items or 3 different items for the same slot.

15+s are just way, way, WAY too easy for giving the best gear outside of the last bosses in a raid tier.
Itâs been about damn time they changed this.
you clearly dont know what the Difference is in Savage from FFXIV and mythic in Wow. its Harder to balance in wow in a 10 player Enviroment, Savage raids are build for a 10 man Group tbh. Also do you rlly Think more people will do Mythic raiding if they turn it in 10 man its has been removed for a Reason.
That is not how keys work.
Keystone difficulty is not actual constant thing like air resistance or whatever. They can make m20 to be joke or m10 to be unbeatable by anyone.
Better to buff difficulty modifier instead of stretching loot over more key levels.
Evidence required.
What is the problemâŠjealousy because better players are rewarded? You say theyâre gonna have a massive problem but not what it is. Iâd think it would be good⊠having a raid team where a few are able to do harder content and help carry the people unable to do more than 12s.
Its the right step, ever since the introducing of m+ players tend to play higher keys. I remember in BFA when the breakpoint for the highest vault was changed from 10 to 15. Everyone is able to time 20s. You even can die several times and still time the key. It was like this in S2, S3 and S4. I had runs where we carried one low dps in 20s PUGs. Its not harder then a mythic raid.
Nah.
