My prediction for DF M+ (A disaster)

Of course it is on me but it is the mechanic that makes that decision a poor experience. I would rather play games where that decision is not a poor experience for me.

You need the timer to not allow bloodlust every pull. That is basically it. But till now we are still on a level where some deaths still allow us to time keys. We even had our timed grimrail 23 a full wipe somewhere at the startā€¦

You play against the dungeon and have to do it in a reasonable time without waiting everywhere 10 minutes. I do not think that is too much to ask.

Seems fair to me.

Iā€™d say watch the vid I linked.
they even wiped fully.
And still made it.

so the timer really isnā€™t important.

So you think that what is on that video will be your experience doing a M+ 20 at the start of the expansion?

Did you even listen to anything I said ā€¦
Do you need to run +20?

play at the level you are comfortable

just to answer your question.
some players may be able to play like this ā€¦
Maybe not in the first 2 months but at some point maybe.

You saying on side of your mouth that the timer is easy to ignore and then on the other that large compromises are required to ignore it.

I think there will be literally 1 group in the whole world being able to do +20 at the start of the expansion. Why do you want to be part of that group? It is not a reasonable goal :frowning: And still; i am sure you are going to not time keys in DF too when you are wiping, not when you are cleanly doing a dungeon. You run earlier into the dying problems than a timer problem. Which is the whole goal of the timer anyway.

So replace it with a live counter? Why is it a time attack mode if itā€™s really about limited lives?

It is so you are not getting bloodlust every pull. So not wait between every pull 9 minutes.

And the live counter is not there since we got difficulties in M+ with scalings. That means you can still time low keys, by going really slow, make tons of mistakes, wipe a couple of times, and still time they key. So groups can learn.

The timer is very lenient. It is not about speed running at allā€¦ But you have to be better a little bit with every key level going up. It is a challenge mode. But not by the timer.

I guess that is a fair description of it as well. Still, despite not agreeing on terminology, the fact remains that I fundamentally dislike playing M+. I didnā€™t like it in Legion, BfA nor SL, and DF is making it even more important than it was before. It is the cornerstone of PvE gear progression and a weekly chore for the length of the whole expansion. There is no way that I am buying this expansion with this design in the game.

So donā€™t play it.

Itā€™s what the whole PvE gear progression focuses on though. Raids except mythic are almost meaningless compared to M+, and to gear for mythic raids you need to min/max your vault rewards. Iā€™ll just rather not play the expansion at all.

Then donā€™t if you donā€™t enjoy it? Nobody is forcing you to play WoW.

Wowā€¦ So insightful. Did you read that somewhere or come up with it all on your own?

Itā€™s a tested theory, if you donā€™t like something donā€™t do it.

All it takes is common sense and you can figure it out yourself. Try it out

Most people raiding mythic are nowhere close to min-maxing their vault rewards.

Almost like I have been saying all along that I do not intend to play the expansionā€¦ Thanks for the tip though.

Then why does it matter what you ā€œneedā€ to do to minmax your gear if youā€™re not gonna play? You just enjoy whining?

Yesā€¦ I am. So what?
