Completely besides all points you made. And i am totally fine there are different players having their fun in this game.
But you play 3v3 2700+ arena without addons? Because what i see about PvP is more tracking of cooldowns and stuff of opponents than i have ever seen with PvE.
Precisely. PvP is all about every abilities and random variance enemy players cause. That kind of difficulty cannot be imitated through PvE. All they can do is raise AI damage until you will die. So you can never beat the game in PvE, but you can beat the PvP and continue it forever.
Im here just to voice why very large margin does not like this games PvE. Its either too easy or 1 shot. The reason why this PvP takes nosedive everytime is because PvE.
Monk tanking seems to be really fun tough. Even in PvE. I might have found my go to PvP Tank.
Eh?
Now, Iāve only played to 2200 but it seemed more and more āscriptedā the higher we got because it was really predictable what people would do in response to your actions and vice versa.
Game feeling scriptable or not is multi-dimensional issue. If Class Design is lowkey there will not be much plays to make. And your 2200 is very different game compared to 2700+ games I guarantee you.
There was pretty much nobody at 2700 on the battlegroup I was on when I achieved 2200.
Its dead. Since MoP ended.
very good argumentation,
its all the same chasing for the greatest reward,
nothing in between
CanĀ“t believe I never found this comment before now.
This comment is 100 % spot on, and trust me you are not alone, the vast majority of the playerbase are slow-learners just because of the age of the average WoW player at this point. Most people have families and a full-time job by now. Yet this change seems aimed at the M+ grinders who play the game like a full time job.
The mental fatigue of 8 new dungeons every 6 months is going to be absolutely insane, and remember patches do not JUST bring new m+ dungeons. You have new raids and new world content to figure out as well. It is just going to be too much. Also the re-used WoD / Pandaria dungeons are just kinda bleh, dungeon design really peaked in BFA.
IĀ“ve had the advantage of being on the Beta for every WoW expansion, and I can say that I am incredibly glad to have been able to beta test, because otherwise the M+ would have been too overwhelming at launch. Also remember that you canĀ“t even practice half of these dungeons on m0 difficulty in the first two weeks of launch.
With the expansion also launching during the World Cup and during Christmas I think I will pretty much just play S1 ulta casual, and get KSM / Heroic raid clear by just outgearing the content like crazy. I also donĀ“t think I am going to bother tanking, maybe just for the first month to get easy IO, but I just can not be bothered to learn routes that will be pointless after 5 months when the new patch hits.
Nice try. Except of fact that low difficulty of classic end game is one of its biggest flaw. And its mostly becouse game is simply old. Wotlk classic isnt popular becouse its easyer.
Classic is popular because it is easier.
If I want to play a complicated game I go play Dota2, SC2 or CS:GO.
An MMORPG should never be an eSpOrT, and WoW retail is failing as a result.
No it isnt. Classic community was literaly asking for prenerf state of booses and their boost to increase difficulty. As low diffidulty of wotlk is one the bighest cons of classic game.
No lfg, no lfr, no seasons, stronger community and social enviroment, fun leveling, proffessions matter, class desing and fantasy of classes is very strong. All these and more are reasons why classic is popular. As game actualy respect mmorpg core desing physolophies. Retail is more of looter shooter like arpg with option to play with other players. Its completly different game which is reason why is retail failing.
A difficulty level has nothing to do with something being competitive or an āesportā.
and who told you that?
You can pretty much press W and time the keys, at least at +15/16 level. I have no clue about the routes and Iāve tanked keys at those levels and my route was hold W. Going higher than that hasnāt been particularly successful on the beta though, most of the time itās a wipe fiesta on first or second pull or on first boss.
2 months into the season you can probably hold W and time a 20 when people have gotten gear if people just know how to do their rotation.
Seriously? I figured Iād have a go at WoTLK Classic before pre-patch while I was having a bored moment, and Iād truly forgotten how tedious and frustrating levelling is. I didnāt get past level 15 before Iād had enough and came back to retail.
I canāt comment on the other things you said because I didnāt hang around long enough to experience them, but if thatās your idea of fun levelling, I suspect your view of the other aspects of the game is similarly skewed.
Its no my idea. Its how supostu leveling look like. Slow and long adventuƔre trough world. It rather looks like that you simply no longer enyoj mmorpg games. And all you want is to rush to the end game and spam instances. MMORPGs are about world. Not about dungeons and not about raids.
On max level. Or at least in the current expansion.
And of course it is also about playing together with other people, where dungeons/arena/raid also come in.
āSupposed?ā Yeah, most people seem to believe that how they want something to be is how itās āsupposedā to be.
Oh, I do, just not the same kind of MMORPGs that you obviously do. And, to be honest, if there had been another game around back when WoTLK was shiny and new that had been like retail WoW is now, and Iād already played that before trying WoTLK, I wouldnāt have got past level 15 back then either.
I enjoyed it back then because MMOs were still pretty much a new thing. Being able to play online WITH OTHER PEOPLE in a world where you were able to walk around as your characterā¦ that was so amazing. It was something many of us had only been able to dream of for years, rather like many of us probably still dream of full, all-senses virtual reality games (minus the part where you feel pain when someone sticks a weapon in you). It was a dream come true, and for that reason it was amazing.
But spending the majority of your time running from place to place, trying to figure out where youāre supposed to be, and not actually achieving anythingā¦ once the novelty of playing online with others has worn off, that gets boring really fast.
Most people what play wow play classic and they definitly not play classic for nostalgia or beoucse its easy.
