SIck of wasting 40 min in a dungeon and get 35 anima, this a a big fu from blizzard devs. I don’t see the point of making a alt and try to gear it, if i do 6 mm on my main and get only anima. Feels like this game is runed by Tencent.
There is no fun in wasting hours doing mm+ or raids and only getting a useless crap like anima
I think I remember reading the exact same thread from you like two years ago? Didn’t bother reading after the first paragraph but see you again Tahra, good luck on other games or whatever you plan on doing
Many valid reasons. I’m playing less and less every day. Main reasons for me: for a dungeon crawler there are simply not enough dungeons. The zones might as well not exist, there’s not much going on besides world bosses and the covenant arc which I stopped three weeks ago because it wouldn’t let me continue and now I cba to continue. I don’t mean to start a fight with anyone, it’s just an observation. Bring life to the zones, events, changing storylines, anything really. Worldquests are dead I think, the concept was cool in legion but it’s stale now. It’s simply not enough in a new expansion the third or fourth time now. On another note: professions might not even exist. I don’t see the point in them. When the best stuff you can craft is worse than what you can get from heroic dungeons why bother. Flasks, food and enchants are the only thing that have a purpose one week after release. This is not good enough. Questing was great, I love the linear Questline, despite the replayability of 0%. My Alts I leveled with fates and dungeon spamming. I wish there were more ways to level. This game hasn’t brought anything fundamentally new since BC. Legendary upgrading was ok, but also not new. Not a fan of the legendary recipe acquisition, it’s too random. Please don’t burn me, but Shadowlands is a conceptless mess. I have the feeling that this game doesn’t even know what it wants to be in the current iteration. Just like destiny the gameplay is great, but just like destiny I don’t see a reason to return. The greatest framework in the genre and nothing but timewastes and chores that make me go yawn. Also the abysmal timegating on flying is something I cannot understand. Why have us regrind that every expansion. And just because reputation is called renown now it’s not a better iteration than it was in legion or bfa. Too much unfun stuff to do to enjoy. QoL down the drain. Depositing anima, flying through oribos. The mountless Maw. Torghast was something I wanted to love since I play roguelites with passion. But not on the wow formula where there is no skill involved and even no name NPC’s take 10 seconds to kill. Blizzard, save your game, I loved it since 2005, please.
While I see where you are coming from, I think there’s a clear distinction between the two and both of OP’s complaints are perfectly valid.
I think we all want to have things to do. But while time-gated story does fulfill this desire to an extent, it is only an illusion of content. It’s stretched to artificially appear like there is more of it than there really is. And while having to wait for time-gated content is annoying, when you finish it, suddenly you have nothing to do.
What I think people like OP are asking for, is an infinitely repeatable content that is not time-gated, such as PvP, m+, achievement hunting, etc… Torghast could be an example of such content, too. Unfortunately, it isn’t to everyone’s taste.
I think you can see how we can have our cake and eat it, too, even if we spam it to no end without time-gating.
Or maybe they just wanted a longer story campaign. I’m sure there are people who wish for that, too.
