Alch/tailor transmutes. Worth so much gold until p6.
A bot takes 2-3 weeks to level with botting, and starts making gold at high levels once they can start farming strat/BRD etc. If they get banned (usually 2-3 months if not very lucky) they need to make another character and start levelling again. Also a bot in the current market prices makes about 30 to 50 euros per day. So let’s say, every time a bot gets banned he loses 420 to 1050 euros worth net value due to downtime.
Now, once they get banned, they will instantly be able to make another character in 5 minutes. Let’s say the price is 60 euros to boost a character(being generous). That is a 360 to 990 euros net value of profit for a bot.
Since profits increase, more botters will enter the market (simple economics), gold prices will fall but total gold supply will increase a lot, until an equilibrium point. (ceteris paribus) If you increase the incentives to bot and reduce the time required to make profits for a bot, you pull in more bots from the market. Gold selling is a whole industry in itself.
Time and effort required to level one stops or pushes them away from levelling one. But hey, there is nothing stopping you playing with your friends and level right now, is there?
And my condolescences to our future TBCC experience that will be dealing with the horrors of p2w all the same, just the different context. Instead of pay-to-winners that pay for chariots and catapults, we will only be dealing with whales that will do 30 transmutes a day and leave us in the shadow.
If you help your friends out with levelling, they can get to 60 fairly easily and there is a lot of good fun you can have doing that. It is a lot more plausible to sacrifice your own convenience for the general health of the game and the community.
Also, the whole point of classic started with some nerds wanting to play past outdated content. TBC is also another bit of past outdated content. If you just want to play current with pointing your finger at whatever and having it with all the convenience features, retail is still there (the only issue is SL lost half of its subs in 2 months because everyone knows that a game with instant gratification, convenience and cash shops is a shallow piece of swamp that sucks you down in a few weeks)
Man this “retailbabies” is soooo pathetic I am 33 years old player who has been playing WoW for 15 years and im all in for boost. Am I a “retailbaby”? Shut your mouth, it is probably the best you can do.
Boost is a reality, accept that or leave the game, end of story.
I don’t hate everything they do. For example, the seal change and the fact they’re actively planning on monitoring the drums situation is good. With these changes, they’re aiming to make the TBC Classic as authentic as possible. I have praised them for this.
BOOSTS, however, are not a “”“”“”“correct”“”“”“” decision. It is a blatant cashgrab that completely undermines the integrity of the game.
Fun in MMORPGs is built on commitments and your own accomplishments. Start reading from this post:
Yes we enjoyed World of Warcraft classic and not World of QoLcraft, World of Boostcraft or World of Mountcraft. That’s why we campaigned for this game for years. It was a massive success, and now you bring your retail filth into classic.
We all know you simply uninstall games and stop paying sub way too easily. That’s why every expansion after WoD has been a 1 month themepark ride where 80% of subs leave after a month and the game sucks donkey noodle for the remaining few.
This is why classic should never turn into it. And sure, we will cancel our subs until you babies are left in your new iffy retail and follow us into the next actual MMORPG, but we usually don’t quit instantly whenever an obstacle appears. An MMORPG player usually leaves a game a bit harder since he is committed and dedicated.
I already stopped most of my expenditure on blizzard and will cancel the remaining if TBCC turns out to be the new ballpark for the boys.
Even after 2 years into classic, at the end of phase 6 where the content is over, I’m still having insane amounts of fun in the game. Let me put it this way:
I had more fun in last 2 weeks in classic than I had in retail all the way from WoD (boosts were implemented at wod release remind you) all the way up to BfA.
So 2 weeks of classic > 10 years of retail for me.
If its boring as hell, you can go back to retail or try another game. Instead of trying to ruin classic.
You are the one that is just trying to troll the forums for a game you find boring as hell.
Ask your mommy for the baby bottle, that will keep you satisfied for a bit.
Man you have a really unhealthy approach to games If you play a game if it bores you I really don´t know what to say.
I am commited and dedicated until I consume content. Once the content is done I usually leave and return once new content is here. What is wrong about that? Isn´t that what Classic “dedicated” players do rn? They raidlog once a week usually …
