New account restrictions must be removed in anniversary classic

Yup. It’s really short-sighted. People who want to cheat this restriction do it easily.

I’m a beginner, yes, I exist and everything was just fine, I liked everything, I like vibe games, the players explained how and what addons to put on the classics, everyone was friendly and polite, it was an adventure, until I was asked to make water and I couldn’t pass it on, then I couldn’t put it on the “auction”, but I paid and I can’t play? Thank you Blizzard, I hope you defeated the bots) I didn’t want to play anymore, it seems to me that you are violating the terms of the agreement with the players, is it even legal?

I was invited to return to the game after a 5-year break, I started playing, but after reaching level 30, I can’t swing the profession (I need a blacksmith, I’m an enchanter), buy reagents at auction, I got a tank good boe , I want to give it to a friend… but no, and also I can’t buy quest items like a bronze tube, I can’t buy alchemy vials, I can’t send mail. Yes, I will play for about another week until 60, but my path is disfigured and I do not have the opportunity to play the game completely, give me back playing time while this torment lasts.

Me and my friend (first time playing) are playing hardcore and I have to make enough gold on my own to equip both of us? So fcking disgusting.

Hi,
I am also very affected with this as a new player. Want to say this:
This game surely wasnt programmed to play in old times with restrictions and it is really different game with this, basically its almost solo wow now. Economy is ruined, gameflow is ruined…

Its “really really” fun being a lvl 15 warrior using a lvl 7 weapon i got in a quest (i was using rxp guide to level and got no other weapon from quests since then)…all cause i can’t buy a weapon from AH…

Blizz, is the bots you’re so afraid of? Then do an account verification check with the people who are asking in order to lift the restrictions from them, dont just flash your incapacity of catching bots by punishing your new player base.

If i wouldnt have started with 3 friends i’d be gone by now. Game is “really” fun at this point after 3 days…

no, only since sometime after the release of SoD.

I do fully understand and sympathise. It will not stop me being kind though

This is a good question, is it legal? I mean the game with restrictions isn’t fit for purpose, and its not made clear when you buy a sub that your account will be restricted so, legally, can they do that? now don’t get me wrong, I don’t know, I am genuinely asking, out of curiosity, because while I have some idea of the law where I live, I don’t know if its different because of where they are situated. I do know this isn’t legal here, its like buying a pair of shoes, but you only get one shoe.

pretty sure its misleading your customers as per eu law but in america its different

You might not believe me, but I’m actually passionate about Classic. This Anniversary wave needs to survive for 3 years to reach and finish TBC. I think that the most important time is start and artificial issues might turn off many players wanting to try the game, which will negatively impact longevity of the server. And I actually love when new players come to Classic, it’s like sharing your most loved things with a friend who understands it.

So by raising awareness to this issue I hope that this information will reach developers and they will change their policy.
