I am trade restricted (Trades, AH, Mail e.t.c) even though my account is 15 years old. Apparently, if you haven´t had an active subscription for a few years you will be submitted to these restrictions. Absolutely bonkers.

Absolutely disgusting from blizzard, all my friends will unsubscribe because of this dumb policy because they can’t play the game they paid for.

You may wish to not come across as condescending, even if the comment is wrong, especially when it’s a legitimate issue and is literally stopping people playing the game they have PAID FOR. Right now, according to your post from blizzard I have to pay them, wait 26 days, then I can play properly but by that time I’m 4 days away from having to pay again? Fantastic grade A support from the guys.

Explain to me why I cannot even send mail to my own bankchars of the SAME DAMN ACCOUNT? But at teh same time I can still SELL stuff on the AH? Wouldn’t that be the most important thing for botters?? Why should botters be banned from buying but not from selling? Your reasoning doesn’t make any sense and is plainly insulting. I’m not a bot, I’m a paying customer. Why would you believe that there is no normal human player who was thinking “Oh there is a new fresh classic wow server with lots of people. I might return to playing it/start playing it for the first time”?

I just randomly looked into the game to test. They have been lifted for me too! I can buy stuff from ah and send mail ot my other characters! YAY!

Biggest nonsense I’ve read here.
My account is 20 years old (EU) and for the anniversary I wanted to play with a US friend on HC as duo. After a ticket, they told me I had to make a new account for US specifically in my account management, which I did. I then discovered that my EU sub doesn’t count in the US, so I wrote another ticket, they refunded my EU sub and I subbed in US.
I then played with my friend for a while and soon realized I can’t trade, after some digging, seems I had the account restrictions on me because it’s a new account. They instantly refunded my sub again and after some convincing of said friend I resubbed and am suffering through the non-trading now.
Not having access to the AH is one thing, but not being able to trade with your duo mate, store items on a bank account or even just trade for some mats/items, is a huge deficit, which limits the game, but you’re still charged full price.
After more tickets, they seem to be unable to remove restrictions, even though last time my EU was subbed, was in 2022, so it’s not like my account was new nor inactive for a long time.
The restrictions are simply a poor and low effort band-aid solution for a problem, that doesn’t fix it but just delays it, as those bot farms have plenty of funds to circumvent those restrictions.

this 100% and not to speak about mage food having 0 value in the game cant even be traded
ive been kicked from 5 groups now because i cant trade food/water and they want a mage for this purpose, i cant pay my friends for materials and neither can i craft cloth for us when we are leveling.
this restriction will be with me going into MC and will prevent me from obtaining many pre-bis crafted armor for myself. i cant even send materials to my bank nor can i properly play the social aspect of what makes classic so amazing especially fresh.
what is stopping the bots? they can still sell on AH, they just need to wait 26days out of the 30 to unload all their stored gold to customers on shady websites? to me it really only seems like it limits normal gameplay?
Friends who last time played in legion and bfa launch are also limited and thats crazy seeing they were active subs from 2004 till that point in time and took a break

Well well well, if it isn’t our friendly blue posts saying exactly what i’ve mentioned… funny how the dust settles sometimes.
Today my restrictions were lifted for some reason… i could start trading now. Probably its a limit to level 20 or something? Idk, i’ve hit lvl 21 and tried after and it actually worked for me…

When I tried trading with my brother earlier, he still couldn’t give me stuff, and we’re both level 34.
Oh, he appears to be able to trade now. Have they either removed or lightened the rules around these restrictions in the last little while?
