Just change the number of days from 30 to 5, reboot the servers and problem solved. It’s not rocket science.

I didn’t pay for a MONTH of restrictions??!!! How am I supposed to advance without being able to send stuff to my bank characters or sell stuff to the economy?! It ruins the whole purpose.
Lift my restrictions, asap! Otherwhise I will have to demand a refund…

Most of these posters are fake/ same person on multiple accounts lobbying for botting changes.
No one cares about this crap unless they’re a bot farm trying to get blizz to slip up so they can make money.
Just look at the NA forums, the exact same post at the same time, spamming both forums to try and get changes that suits RMT.

why would bots even bother dude ? they all knew about these restrictions already and could easily pay for the game one month in advance … thinking this is about rmt or that blizz is ‘‘fixing botting issue’’ with this just proves youre delusional and lack any critical thinking skills.

Yeah me on my 20 year old account is clearly a bot. Blizzards answer to their decades old failure of handling botting and RMT is to actively prevent new players from really experiencing a social game.
Way way back in the day they had the Trial Account, a few days free game time up to like level 10 but all those restrictions were added. The fact that people paid for a full month and were not told about these restrictions is a joke.

These restrictions only apply to fresh accounts and there are work arounds.
There’s no shot u can’t access stuff on the same acc you replied on if you have a sub running
The entire reason this system is in place is to stop bots from mass creating accounts and starting operations right away.
Besides i’m not explaining this to you, i’m 100% convinced u and everyone else (maybe also you) in this thread pulling for these changes are either bots or rmtlords, nothing u say will change my mind on that. The average player does not bring up these concerns, only filthy gold sellers or gold businesses.
This reply is only to warn other forum dwellers who might be naive enough to believe all this crap.

I am now level 31, been kicked from 3 groups and i’ll be level 60 before i can buy anything from the AH, send mail to a bank alt (essential for classic leveling), give water/food to my groups, help other players with these things… how should i work around it ? you have any wise ideas ? people who are bots or do rmt ALREADY PAID FOR THEIR ACCOUNTS one month prior. Botting costs a lot of money to set up as you buy 20+ accs or something. These people have the money to buy it one month in advance or they can just farm the gold and sell it 28 days later, it does not stop ANY bots. You are clearly deranged.
the system is ONLY in place to prevent the bots from ADVERTISING gold selling, as people were being spammed with mail and trade was overrun with these disgusting people.
I have never bought gold but i did buy gametime. I did not get warned about this when i PAID for my account or else i wouldve just not played the game. I ONLY play classic wow.

Dude stop embarassing yourself here. Again a person with no friends so you dont see the issue clearly. If you dont think that New players cant even trade mage food or send Mail to THEIR OWN characters is BAD then you are lost case.
We play with my friend. If he loots accidentaly something I need then he cannot give it to me. It is beyond stupid. He has alchemy and cannot give me any potions. The roleplay of the RPG element is dead. What is the reason they should pay full game time and suffer through 30 days of INFERIOR game compared to playing somewhere else. The Official WoW servers are not the best choice for new players sadly.

If said person can’t trade when they are already above a certain lvl and has a running sub all they have to do is open a ticket and it will be fixed.
The fact that they/u are here lobbying instead is the reason i’m saying all of this. Now go hang out with ur imaginary bot friends.

The rules state if you are on a new account you cannot use the mailbox for 30 days.
If you are a returning player ( aka had a sub before), the mail/trade is only locked for 12 hours ( which has already passed if that was the case).
If it wasnt the case a simple ticket wouldve solved it but if neither of those are true then u are on a new account.
You are obviously not a new player ( no new player would get on the forums to argue with strangers about trading when they have barely been playing the game for 2 days).
It’s clear as day tbh, stop being a clown already.

Yeah, obviously I am not a new player?? I have level 80 Warrior as your empty skull can see? And obviously I can have New Player friends that I have convinced to play the Anniversary Classic with me telling them that the Official WoW is good? But Blizzard shot themself with this one and I hope a lot of people will cancel their sub because of this. They deserve it.
You think Bot would complain about this on Forum? What about angry customers who paid for the game? Wouldnt they be angry too? Nah that is too complex for you to realize.

How many times do i have to tell u the mail restriction is to combat botting, doubt that’ll change so pointless to yapp about it.

Maybe if you’d stop yapping and read for a minute, you’d know that new accounts are restricted from using Mail, Trade and AH, effectively locking you from leveling and using professions, completing numerous quests involving crafts from different profs, making gold from your crafts and many more. Not to say that this doesn’t prevent a single bot from not running and selling gold, because any sane rmter preparing accounts in advance or buying in bulk already prepaid accounts.
Only ppl that got restricted here are normal casual players that don’t monitor wow news and just want to hang out with friends. We’ll see a tremendous flood of these complaints from casuals in the next 5-7 days, when they finally hit 50-60 levels and find out they are unable to play the game.

The few new players that actually have that issue is worth the trade compared to the millions of bots that will ruin the game.

you have no knowledge of how bots operate. these accounts exist for months because they dont get banned. how does restricting trade for a month combat that in any way? they can simply farm for a month then sell after… which is what they do anyway.
and the accounts that are actually used to store and sell gold have no part in the botting. they are as old as the server itself and will NEVER be banned.
the only reason this restriction is in place so they can pretend to the docile masses that they are actually trying to fix something only a loud minority care about, including me (most people don’t care about bots)

I wrote above that I am a new player and we play as a team, we are experienced players who came from albion online, where the market is a big component of the game. What was my surprise, which I mentioned above, I can’t give my friends water, pump cooking, tailoring. My friends are also new to this game, but we have experience playing MMO. We also joined the guild, they help us, and we are ready to play a lot, but we were told that it would be difficult to participate in raids without an auction… I was hinted that I can negotiate with a player who can give me the necessary consumable items, and I will send him money in another way because I can’t use any of the above, so maybe I can negotiate with him, whatever it is considered RMT, I will buy him pizza and cocacola
