I think the Void elves right now in Beta look ok. They don’t need anything else added to them. If there was something added to them it would be void colored hair like Black and White. These will look good on both Void skin and natural skin.
I actually like how the Natural skin looks with void colored hair. Like the Blue hair and normal skin looks great and unique.
Like you, I’m against adding any more stuff from the Blood elves. I think they look perfect in Beta and they don’t need anything else.
I know a specific someone here will disagree with me, but that’s my opinion.
I can’t really say the hair colors are that different. And the skin colors as well are pretty much the same with the exception of a few and the new ones yes. The fact that they share the same model isn’t going to take away their uniqueness because their uniqueness was never actually there because humans, night elves, dwarves, gnomes, kul’tirans, worgen already have the pale skin tones and natural hair colors. Let’s not forget how the blood elf female hairstyles were never that unique since they were pretty much like the human hairstyles.
I’m not really into them. The fact that they have the blood elf faces and not the void elf faces from the purple skin tones, the blood elf nail polish and underwear just doesn’t work for me, but I guess if people don’t care about those I’m happy that they are happy
Blizzard said they will update that, they said it here in the forums actually. So don’t worry about that. By the time Shadowlands comes it will be fixed
Blizzard said that the underwear will be updated, the reason why it shows the underwear now is just to get an idea of how the skin colors will look on the Void elves.
Be assured it will be updated. If it’s not by the time Shadowlands comes, then come back here and we will have the conversation again
I said that. Those “pale skin” tones are actually blood elf models who are using the void elf hairstyles. I never said they had the blood elf hairstyles.
Edit: and what about the nail polish and faces? They need to be updated
You do realize Void elves share the same face as the Blood elves and the High Elves? The only difference is that the Void elf faces has blue skin on them that makes it look a bit different, and black lipstick instead of red.
But if you remove the skin color, they will look like they have the same faces, because they actually do.
Again the only differences is that black lipstick are added on 3 of the faces. So they didn’t borrow the faces, it was always there. (Look at my profile picture for example) a very popular looking Belf and Helf face.
This is Vanalia by the way.
If they are updating underwear, then be assured they are updating nail polish too. Nail polish is easy to update lol.
With faces I meant: at the moment void elves have 8 face options, on beta they have 10 when using the “pale skin” tones. They need to add those faces to the pale skin tones which are already available to void elves on live not all the blood elf faces. So they should also have only the 8 face options when using the pale skin tones
Probably because the skin hasn’t transitioned yet. With beta you will find many mistakes especially when something is borrowed.
Give it time for them to update it, and then come here and complain when you actually see it still being there in Shadowlands. Otherwise it’s silly to complain now because they are obviously still updating stuff and it’s too early.
I guess you’re right. But I’m not expecting more options anymore. Nothing has been added or datamined. Looks like Night Elves won’t get golden jewelry (hopefully Naga will if they become playable one day)
You see the problem is not that two different races share one or two elements, but how distinct those two races look. You cannot mistake a blood elf for a human, night elf, dwarf, etc. It doesn’t matter if the skin colours look similar, because everything else looks different.
You can’t really mistake a blood elf for a void elf. They have tendrils in their hair and different hair styles. They kind of are like orcs and mag’har orcs
Edit: if you pay attention to details like I do it won’t be a problem.
If you ask me, it’s up to us to use our imagination and use the transmog system to our benefit.
I mean, this is my Hunter, who will also use High Elf features and all I need is the Eagletalon PvP Set for the Alliance, with the Silver Covenant Tabard and the legendary Sunwell Bow and bam - I’m literally playing a Silver Covenant Ranger. https://worldofwarcraft.com/en-gb/character/eu/argent-dawn/finduil%C3%A1s
