New customization options for blood elves and void elves

It always been like this Horde is getting what they want and the alliance is only getting compromises. And if you say ‘‘horde does not get what they want’’ Then Look at the allied races. Srsly horde got 4 races what they wanted while the alliance got like 1.

I have to agree with Allied races. Horde have been requesting for Zandalari,Nightborne,Vulpera and Mag’har orcs since they were added and they finally got them. Alliance have requested for:Broken,High Elves and Dark Iron dwarves, and they got only one of these three. Instead of Broken we got Lightforged which no one actually asked for and Void elves which also nobody asked for because they didn’t existed before 7.3.5 in which they appeared for the first time.

Edit: don’t get me wrong I like Void elves and they are interesting but we can all agree they were forced to happen

And remember the whole bee mount. We got a new mount and the horde started whining and they made a mount for them. While the horde got a quest line for a dino mount while the alliance did not have such a quest line at all.

And hell they could have made the void elves like alleria in the first place looking like high elves.

The thing which I never liked and will never like is that the first generation of Void elves weren’t even Alliance High Elves but exiled blood elves

Because blizz got only horde in their head they don’t give a flying heck about us.

It’s good that you care about the lore. It would be better if you understood it as well. Alliance high elves already are a thing, you see, and we meet several groups and individuals around the world, with presence added in almost every expansion.

If needed, I will. It’s a good list, even if you don’t like every single entry on it. Demon hunters and paladins say hi.

It’s usually implied, when speaking of blue markings, that we want blood elves to get red ones. But we’re speaking from the perspective of what we want, leaving what blood elf players want up to them to bring up.

The high elves who call themselves blood elves no longer call themselves high elves.

The options announced are strongly based around high elf options for both races (even though the idea that a blue eyed blood elf is a high elf is wrong).

Yes, but not the hawkstriders that are uniquely tied to the Silvermoon faction, nor the golden dragonhawks that are unique to the Horde.

I chose to ignore that ridiculous remark.

You said it yourself:

This is basically it. Besides some styles that aren’t so voidy. If we could then also change out just the visual aspect of Entropic Embrace and Spatial Rift, that’d be just sweet, and a much appreciated bonus. This is at least where I draw the line.

I might be mistaken, but I don’t think Alleriana is currently able to respond here. She made some posts that the moderators might have deemed over the line. I helped them notice.

It quite factually does. I’ll repeat myself: The high elves who call themselves blood elves no longer call themselves high elves.

I really don’t think this is the case. Just look at what we’re getting right here. We’re only a few steps away from the full Alliance high elf fantasy, and I have faith that we’ll get all the way, if not initially, eventually, most likely during a 9.x patch.

Then why are blizzard not going full out at the start? Sorry I am just scared this wil be another compromise.

I mean I have no issues with velf running around looking like belf a la blonde hair (personally I’d make the tones different but w/e) and whatnot, just pitched as a “second generation” of Velf - high elves and belf whom have chosen to affiliate with the velf.

What I have a problem with is taking looking like that, and then it being said that puritan “non void elf” helf are now back on the scene in alliance, so there should be class changes and racial changes etc.

They are velf.

If you want to pretend your velf is a Helf minus the void, knock yourself out. You have pretty much all the tools to do that in a way where your experience isn’t massively jarred.

But where people start suggesting they should be not only a “new void elf look” but “high elves in their own right” you begin taking away from both the velf unique narrative and the belf one to simply retell the same stories on alliance but replace “red” with “blue”.

I see that as a magnificent waste of potential and resource all because some people can’t look past their racial nametag and racial abilities. Take a clue from RP servers, it’s called suspension of disbelief.

If blizzard wants to write the Helf into a position where their remaining numbers fold into velf due to them taking up that cause, that is up to them. They do not have to keep the narrative of helf locked into an identical one to belf simply because players don’t like their story. If it bothers you, you have two options, quit, or simply make do with deciding what your character is irrespective of the game mechanics like tons of players do ATM.

But demanding the “high elf” narrative is told through alliance because of these options, simply takes away from two existent races to give us something that isn’t new. To me that is a poor deal.

Blizzard is already doing this. And the stories are different on each side. And this is what we want to see playable.

But they can make many people very happy and the blood elves can ask for more options
Fell elves

Forsaken elves

San’layn elves

Lightforged elves

And I am happy if they could have these stuff.

But again the horde needs to stop gate keeping hair colors.

And the High Elves who call themselves Void Elves no longer call themselves High Elves. Or does it only work one way for you in this battle of semantics?

The truth is that both sides are getting the option to play as High Elves in Shadowlands whether you like it or not. In fact I wonder if we could petition Blizzard for a Quel’Dorei steed along with some High Elven defectors to reinforce this fantasy.

After all, in the spirit of sharing things I’m certain that no one would object to such trivial stuff.

And still they high elves who are in the alliance still call them self high elves.

The double standards are real in this 1… but i guess thats all you can expect from pro high elfer.
So blood elves that renamed themselfs arent high elves to you guys but VOID elves that also techically are renamed are ? :astonished:

There is no double standards because lore wise High elves are in the alliance. No matter how you look at it. and yes I am glad if high elves rename them selfes to void elves. Because it means there is hope that we will get more high elf things. Like normal hair colors and (alliance type hairstyles or remodelelt void elf hairstyles without the problems)

Don’t generalize please

This right here :raised_hands: say it louder for the people in the back.

Some People in the forums are THE most opinionated people I ever met. YoUtube comments are actually much better.

Wether they like it or not, it’s coming for Both factions already said by the designer and already showed in the beta. End of discussion

I love it how you say “Just this” and then add a few other things to the list. This is always the way it goes. Void elves were a compromise, but still not enough. Skin colours are a compromise, but still not enough for some. Now it’s hair colours, which then it’s not going to be enough. And then after that, something else will come up for sure.

Drawing the line where we are at now seems more and more reasonable to me, because it’s seems clear that giving in to high elf fans demands will only bring forth more demands.

I agree with this as well. The beta customization looks very fair. We got blue eyed, fair skinned Thalassian elves on the alliance. Hair color or not, they fail to realize we have won the fight.

We did not won the fight by a longshot and Every almost have the same color pallet. And like I said before we are asking for alliance hair colors, not horde ones. So stop gatekeeping alliance hair colors.
