Yss it is, twice as popular as the 2nd most popular, and vastly more popular to expansions that followed MoP, where pruning was a thing.
Deny it all you want. I personally guarantee that if you were to poll it today, MoP would win again.

You can say that for a million times, but your own actions and indeed others in this thresd prove this not to be the case.
Remind me, how many timed have placeholder talents and abilities ever been changed during the course of an alpha, or beta for that matter?
Be honest. You know full well Blizzard did not add them to just be placeholders, Blizzard added them to test the waters and see how many people are okay with being offered recycled content, so they would have to put in the bare minimum effort.
If one offer gives you 100 000 euros, and the other 10, which one will you pick 99,9999999999% of the time?
So you keep saying, but so did this other guy. We could have seen your example just fine without.
So, all the people who have made their own builds in this thread just magically end up picking 80-100% the same builds? Just by chance?
lol
You can do the exact same thing now too. Nothing’s changed.
For sure, there comes a point where it becomes too much, of course. Not more than say 30-40 active abilities or so. But remember many abilities are situational and if you don´t pvp it´s not that necessary to bind them.
Anyone who disagrees with me is WRONG!
Main character syndrome strikes again!
Numbers. 40% means 60% of people DON’T AGREE.
Last time I checked that’s the majority.
But it doesn’t mean anything. Because the forumposting part of the playerbase is not a good representation for the entire WoW playerbase. It really isn’t.
It’s a fair representation for the more tryhard, hardcore part. Sure. But that’s not everyone by a long shot.
FFS, Disingenious if anything, it´s a poll with multiple alternatives. Ther are not only two options. MoP had twice the votes of the 2nd most popular ffs, and that was the unpruned wotlk expansion where classes had many tools as well. Pruned veriosn of classes have never been popular, I guarantee you. People miss what they had, cause they had more and better in the past.
You keep repeating this like its some damn gospel truth from the bibble, why?
Becaude people kept saying that “RPG choice is important, I wont be a metaslave” when covenants were introduced too.
And guess what? More than 90% of people picked their BiS covenant for their chosen form of content.
It does not matter what you think, the fact is that your system leads to less genuine choice.
YOU are being disingenious.
Yes it was the most voted on option. Sure.
But that doesn’t mean that other 60% liked that option.
Logic.
Eh, how do you know that? Many people that didn´t have mop as number one might have it as second best. LOGIC.
Allt that matters here, cause that is all the polls measured.
Because it is?
Got proof? Or do you just think of a random number to type that sounded good?
Right back at ya. Cheers.
You have 31 points to fill in a 59 point maximum tree.
How much overlap do you think that takes when you need to start at the bottom?
What build do you want me to make?
Go ahead make a request.
I already gave you patch notes of SL way up in the thread, if you ignored that, it’s on you.
What a stupid question, one which doesn’t live in reality.
Seriously, are you trolling?
What part of comparing what abilities to live don’t you get?
I can chose between having another covenant ability active now, besides the one i have now?
I can chose spells from other specs of the class now?
I can chose to get another 4-5 abilities from my current talent tree now?
Get out with your bullcrap.
No, that’s speculation.
Fact is: 60% DID NOT vote for that option because they considered another option better.
How can you not grasp that?
I’m done with this ‘discussion’. It’s taking way too much of my time for something I really don’t care much about.
You have presented no evidence that MoP isn´t the most popular expanion class design wise. At least I have presented evidence of my case.
Sigh. No. You did not. That is not evidence.
That’s my whole point.
Thanks for trying. But no.
Now, bye.
Yes it is. It is not proof, but it is evidence. Learn the difference.
Thanks for not trying.
No thanks for two reasons.
The other point you make about Baseline abilities moving to the Trees, this can be a good thing. If Some Restoration abilities are now on the Tree, I as Elemental can pick it and have to added healing for questing. Or were I to take up Resto again (unlikely) I could pick up some Ele abilities and do a bit more DPS while questing.
I seems to me like you don’t like trees because you don’t want to make tough decisions between some powerful abilities. But with DF we will be encouraged to have multiple builds (not sure how easy it will be to swap these, is it in Rested areas or just out of combat?) so these decisions won’t be quite so tough. You’ll be able to have them all, just not all of the time.
Edit: Typo.
Alright, fair enough. Too quick of a reply because I’m getting annoyed.
You did not provide ADEQUATE EVIDENCE that makes me consider your claims as true.
There.
Have a nice day.
OK, but at least I provided some evidence. You provided no counter evidence to refute it.
Have a nice day.
I don’t need to because I’m not making claims, unlike you were.
I’m only talking about my own opinions and beliefs here. Don’t need to prove and/or justify any of that to anyone.
Can. This. Be. Over?
Please?
