Because people dont get this isnt the 90s anymore where sales only matters. The scales are so much bigger now.
No the data is guesswork, as Blizzard havenât given any figures.
What figures, they are all guesswork, what measures? Everything you have pointed to is an opinion based on figures nobody can claim to be accurate, as they havenât been released.
Watch the video.
Here, I will post a link for you:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ToaLY0DF2gY
Watch it. Then tell me what you saw, what the numbers are and how did you decide that they cannot be used the way they are used in the video. I wonât spend any more time on you until you watch the video. You donât know what you are even objecting to.
Sub data by non-finance(forgot english word) department is fake news.
Again, numbers which are purely subjective and inaccurate because unless they are proven to come from Blizzard, then they arenât worth anything.
Bla bla bla, you donât know what you are even objecting to, so bye.
Wrong forums, should be in⌠https://eu.forums.blizzard.com/en/wow/c/off-topic/61 Also, when WoW classic release it was said it tripled the WoW numbers so early strong indicators doesnât equate to long-lasting growth.
I donât see it lasting with the combat system it has, just some very basic generic combat abilities for each weapon types.
Aye run away
There are specific people who know this information. They do not release data.
WoW classic increasing WoW numbers significantly was an indication of WoW retail being in a terrible shape more than anything else. And the increases stopped being this big a long time ago.
I thought this thread wasnât about this?
Except at that point, retail WoW still had, minimum, 2 mil subs.
Didnât they end up with a number higher than 1 M? Anyway hope new world does well. Thereâs plenty of room in the mmorpg market for more games.
Only the figures over time are important here. You have to look at the drop off over time.
MMOs are not intended to be âone shot wondersâ you play for a month then abandon.
So letâs see the figures over monthly intervals really.
But 1 million as an initial high isnât that impressive? I mean with WoW we can speculate that subs have dropped to whatever, but coming down from a high of 10 mill, even 20% of that being left is still 2 mill.
1 mill, you get similar drop off youâre going to run into issues sustaining things.
Weâll have to see.
If you are comparing to the number for New World, that number is for players online on the same day. The number of subs is significantly less.
have still to play ashes of creation when it comes out
You link a video yet you as a industry proffesional was using your own data earlier in this thread.
Intresting how you have NO data to back it up other then He said this so it must be true.
The data in the video Only shows Max level players that does group content.
It does not even track the players who are max level but just does farming or other things.
And it only tracks after you have done a certen level of content. LFR is not counted in here as an example.
And you can not be on a high pop server playing with people on your own server at peak hours doing lower content or doing lower content at the end of the week.
Just to name a few things that makes it unrealiable.
And the number of Daily logins is just you throwing in a number based on nothing
1 mil of daily players is damn impressive. You are repeating the mistake made by several others comparing that number to the number of subs. The number of subs is much bigger than the number of daily players (even peak one) by design. The number of people who will pay money for New World in the first month is going to be at least 10x as much as the first-day peak, and if the game continues even half well, this will go to 20x and more. (This is not to say that New World will grow to be 20x WoW. I am just talking numbers for monthly payments, whatever they are - boxes or sub - donât know whether they even have a sub or a premium, whatever.)
Having ONLY the cost of game and no subscription is actually LESS impressive than sub count, especially for future growth.
I would also point to all the view-botted streams under that game so yeah I can guarantee theyâre bloating numbers to look good in the first place.
It shows players of all types, group content not required. Watch it again, you skimmed too much.
