This has been a major problem since Cata. Maybe even as far back as Classic. Night Elves are Blizzard’s personal punching bag. And the WoW community’s too from the looks of things. And unlike Kobolds or whatever, Kaldorei have a community of players that have invested in their story. So spare me those comparisons.

If I remember correctly, and I’ll admit I’m a bit rusty because I got less invested in the lore after Legion/the chronicles retcons that were underwhelming and didn’t commit them to memory as much as I did all the lore beforehand, but I’m pretty sure the Trolls evolved naturally upon Azeroth after it had been terraformed to support life by the Titans, which a friend reminded me was after the Old Gods had been locked away… Which makes said headcanon entirely impossible. The only races/peoples confirmed to be created by the Old Gods that I know of are the original Aqir and the Faceless.

A major problem? I don’t see it that way. I just messed up an entire village of murlocs and scared their kids just to get some reputation with some mutated aqua-goblins I really don’t give a crap about but having them like me is a must if I want to fly. It’s that casual for me.
As for having a community of players? The worgen have a community, the orcs have a community, trolls too and so on. Most of them don’t have half the lore the nelfs have. They are not complaining.
And by the way, all this talk about punched nelfs makes me want to paint my anatomically correct punching bag purple and put ugly long eyebrows on it.

Ah yes, Forsaken… the poor bastards whose only developed roster of characters is comprised of: the oh so not totally divisive Sylvanas and her yes man and… well that’s about it… and if they prove willing to hold Sylvanas accountable for her actions, I am very afraid the Forsaken will soon be in the position that the Darkspears are in, which I would not wish upon anyone… yeah they totally have nothing to worry about…

Actually you are wrong. Trolls have stories about the big war between Titans and Old Gods, which they were witnesses.
Titans started to create Azeroth nature only after victory. So trolls definitely were not created by renew Azeroth nature. They already were exist before that.
Regarding city, just compare architecture of the NZots city and trolls. And also why NZot and others Old Gods did not kill mortal race if they warent workers?
