No reason not to include Mage Tower in Legion Remix

Adding recolors would be the best middleground. Not sure why they didn’t add any.

If anything, what we learned from the interviews is that they bring back any limited time prestige reward if they feel like it.

Exatly.
The inconsistency is what drives most people on the wall in every topic.
Because it’s not just the mage tower, it’s everything.

They say A
They do B
but actually talked about C
and somewhere also promised D

My theory some high-up dev is missing a few items from their personal fomo list, and those just happen to be the ones that return. There’s really no other explanation for this level of randomness.
Ion’s response basically boils down to ragebait they know exactly which items the community wants, and those are the ones they deliberately avoid. XD
It’s a bit sad that in the interview she only touched on one of the inconsistencies, and in the end just said, “Oh, now I understand…”
Blizzard is the one fueling this by opening the wound.
Would people really be this mad if they hadn’t brought back the Friendship Bird?
They didn’t bring the AOTC mount back during Pandaria Remix, so why do it now while still trying to maintain the image that there’s some super precise line of thought behind these decisions?

and that is fine, if you were not playing back when a limited time event happened - too bad. I missed many things but dont cry about it.

Fortunately new topic (issue in the eyes of some) was born and this MT appearances annoying QQ will now slowly fade out :+1:

Nice way to compare something in-game to something else IRL. The only reason I want MT back is because they provide the only cool looking warglaives. If there was anything close to it, I wouldn’t even care. But 10 years later, there isn’t a single one that even comes close to it.

This will never die.

After Remix is over, we can shift the topic to: Change the rewards of the MT on retail to have recolors of the original appearances. Which they should have done in the first place, instead of those ugly set recolors.

Most arguments tbf

No one mentioned crying about it… so I do in fact think you do. There is no reason really not to include it, at least for basic legion so those who could not do it then can now… and if they don’t that’s fine.

Here are a few reasons why they should not bring the appearances back:

  • Their exclusivity makes them appealing
Simple as that. I find some of those appearances worse than their regular counterparts (e.g. Destruction Warlock) yet I use them because I know there are not many people who own them.
It has sort of become part of my character’s identity, like one would expect to see Arthas wielding Frostmourne.

  • They were rewarded for a challenge in a context which cannot be recreated
It does not matter whether one found it hard themselves, it was for others.
It was available for a time with rules set for that period of time. Whoever owns these appearances played by those rules (supposedly, but pilots are out of the scope of this discussion since they’re against the TOS anyway).
Some owners (myself included) would find it disrespectful to make these appearances available again.

  • Wearing those appearances is akin to saying “I was there”
By that I mean, it allows to easily distinguish the players who played around then.
Some of us still play the game for its RPG aspect. There is nothing better, in my opinion, to display one’s achievements than armors and weapons.
Whenever I see someone with such an appearance, I know they have played during Legion as well without having to go through layers of UIs to check the date of acquirement which would instantly break my immersion (and honestly I would nether bother to do that).

Blizzard is constantly creating other experiences with rewards that would remind players of these experiences for years to come. It’s the player’s choice to partake in them.
It’s also one’s own responsibility to decide whether its worth their time, but if one does invest their time and plays by the rules, it should be respected.

Edit: Blizzard’s inconsistency in applying their “non-returning” policy does not justify another transgression to it.

Others having access to them does not change your “character’s identity”

What challenge?
Steam-rolling it with Argus gear?
If you want to “flaunt” you did it when it was “hard” look at the date of your relevant achievements; otherwise it really doesn’t say much.

Achievements do literally the same.

So why do they add back AOTC mount and Deathless Mythic raid transmog?

Again, why do they add back AOTC mount and Deathless Mythic raid transmog?

Again, again, why do they add back AOTC mount and Deathless Mythic raid transmog?

They were exclusive, prestigious, I was there during the expansion/season, challenging.

Many people that plays/start this game were to young, or did not play during that time, you know that right?

But it justify bringing back AOTC and Deathless run mog?

Oh well atleast i deserve the retribution and protection one,

A Challenging Look - 07/26/2017 before antorus right?

Fighting with Style: Challenging - the last holy challenge - 05/21/2018

antorus opened November 28, 2017?

Oh yes i did 2 challenges before antorus :stuck_out_tongue:

Except, you are completely wrong. This thread is about the fact that anyone who simply accepted the quest and kept it until today, can still earn the appearances with todays gear.

The attention seeking with that post and just your behavior regarding this game is something else

No one cares about what you have or dont have, I promise you.

This “look at me i’m so special” attitude you have just makes you insufferable.

Honestly i hope they keep it locked up forever. Should have gotten it back in the day. I don’t even honestly care if anything comes back. But the folks who are making “arguments” as to why these items should come back are beyond insufferable.

then why didn’t you just move past this thread?
instead you chose to be insufferable as well.

and yes, there’s absolutely no reason to keep these virtual items hidden behind a virtual wall, especially when as a company you’re supposedly all for ‘inclusiveness’ and ‘equality’.

they might actually score some good will points with their customer base if they’d let people obtain what’s in the game, and not hidden because someone didn’t do the challenge back then. (or couldn’t for that matter.)

what’s up with the people that need their ego stroked because of some virtual goods these days, pathetic.

Why should not post? I’ve been talking the same points for months. I came to the forums, seen folks who are trying to make arguments why items being exclusive is not a bad thing.

And what is usually the counter argument?

Get a life. Pixels dont matter. I WANT IT. and in your case - you made the point that since Blizzard pushes DEI, that somehow means that not having MT appearances somehow equates to not being included. lmao

It’s the fact that folks who want it - will make up any bs argument and most are not thought out well - beyond insulting folks. I dont care if anything comes back, i just hate bullying and toxic takes

Its nice that you have this opinion. Stop trying to force your sensibilities and worldview on the whole player base.
