Bumping this for you. Exactly and well said. These pixels don’t matter so much that they want them so badly not hesitating to insult people with other opinion and spreading hate towards them.
Their twisted logic.

As a returning WoW player i am honestly shocked how bad the gatekeeping is in basically all aspects of the game. That really needs to be looked at by Blizzard if they ever want to increase the subscriber count again.
Reasons why they should stay locked:
Number 1 im insecure
Number 2 they make me feel special like nothing else in my life
Number 3 i like the drama
Sarcasm no insult its just a convo nothing personal
Reasons why they should be locked
#1 you had to gear up
#2 Farm legionfall resources
#3 Wait on the Sentinax
#4 hours in the tower
#5 alot of frustration when wiping
I wonder how many that did magetower, its not you see alot of people with the skins
1 % ?
20 percent of all accounts got it, me included.
You can make anything sound hard like that.
First, we had to turn on our computer.
Then, log in to Battle.net.
Then, log in to your character.
Be honest with yourself, it was a cakewalk. It’s arguably harder now, to be honest.
20 % i doubt, a cakewalk i wouldnt call it that, retri and protection was ok easy but not holy
During the Legion expansion, approximately 135,000 players successfully completed the Mage Tower challenge, with the total number of attempts reaching 15.2 million, resulting in a success rate of about 0.9%. These numbers are based on statistics shared by Blizzard Entertainment and highlight the difficulty of the solo scenario."
The numbers just ain’t adding up champ
It was hard at launch. I didn’t play during Argus so i don’t know what you’re talking about.
Thank you for proving my point. Any Blizz rep that browse these forums can take your feedback straight back to the devs.
That’s a very dramatic take. What are we gatekeeping? the less than 1% items skins and mounts that were removed from the game?
You can check it go to data of azeroth 20%
To bóngas it actually shows as 28% little shrimp its called a challenging look look it up…
But go ahead keep digging youself down “champ” i got the feral done when i was 12 i sure feel “prestigious”
Lol wowhead shows 31% yy numbers aint adding up shrimp
I’m going to take back the champ comment - seeing as it got under you skin which wasn’t my intention.
So i looked up Apocalypse sword on Data for Azeroth - it says 5% have the base appearance. Where is the overall 30% number coming from? Im genuinely asking since i don’t visit these sites much.
Even if its 30%, the Argus patch inflated the numbers from what i heard. If it comes back with all its challenge most folks won’t even be able to get more than 1 appearance.
This is less about prestigious and more about folks jumping at people’s throats at the mere mention of valuing acquired pixels. I’ve been subscribed since 2007, why can’t I have something exclusive.
Are you rotating unknown alts or something to keep baiting?
I agree, pixels dont matter… “I WaNT IT” ?? so they do matter?
Pixels don’t matter, gief mage tower druid forms now!
30 percent of accounts got the achievement for defeating the tower in Legion; search it up. I even named the achievement “Challenging Look.”
No one is jumping on your throat. Your argument was just flawed. It’s fine to base it on feelings, but don’t mask it with twisted data.
Also, you start by calling me a champ. Somehow, I’m the problem? Very adult of you, sir.
Pixels matter; it’s a game and 10 years collecting dust in our collections. I think it’s been long enough.
Want “prestige”? If you want to keep your insecurity in check, you can simply whisper every player in your group and tell them “I got this mog when it was current” and link them the achievement. They will for sure care and see you as the alpha of the group.
New players get to collect the appearences and you maintain your ego in check or smthg…
So let me get the straight: if someone enjoys and goes out of their way to acquire no longer attainable items before they are removed - its somehow tied to insecurity, ego and other various mental problems down the road. I’ve seen this argument posted many times. But you are not jumping at anyone’s throats for sure, its all in good jest
You are barking up the wrong tree my man. I dont care if items return as stated many times. Actually read what you are replying to next time
I like to argue and taking the less popular side. My issue is with folks like you who post these crap takes and pretend this is the overall mentality of the whole player base. I usually try to find the middle ground in arguments - with you folks it’s a way one streak, name calling and bashing with the same, played out “mental health” or “having nothing IRL so i flex in game” arguments.
I really hope they don’t bring it back just to see the crybabies continue to meltdown.
This is going to be my last comment on this topic lol, too much self-induced negativity getting into arguments.
I was down for the return of old items from the beginning aside from mounts.
Seeing how some folks here make their arguments as to why MT should return - put me off completely.
If you want items to return and don’t care about pixels - awesome. Live your best life
But if let’s say a collector, says something like bruh i don’t want this old mount to come back. God help him - this is an unwanted, selfish ego driven take. Go touch grass
Why? There are collectors out there who spent years trying to get items that Blizz are throwing out to players at events now. I farmed the Black Sha drake for years until it dropped, came back to the game - everyone has it after MoP remix
Should i be happy about that? f no… i wasted my time. Should have waited it out
While at the same time: the argument that enough time has passed, and some items can and should return. Is a sound argument. Just don’t wrap it in a “pixelz don’t matter, y’all got mental illness” garbage. Try to look at it from a different perspective.
Ultimately, I love the idea of limited time rewards for challenging content, even if i personally missed like 90% of it. Blizz should make new cool rewards and new challenges
Why do the MT appearances look better than 90% of the skins in game. Like why can’t we have more of that
Cool down enough with the hyperbole, it’s just a discussion.
If you’d actually read my past posts, you’d know that my argument is about bringing everything back in an evergreen format *while maintaining a degree of challenge. I’m not asking for handouts.
You presented numbers and built your stance on them; I simply called you out on it. Let me remind you that you were the one who started heating up the argument by talking down to me I’m just replying in the same tone, so don’t get emotional about it.
Like I said before, pixels do matter. But I choose to value my pixels based on my own sense of achievement I don’t need Blizzard to lock them away for 10 years for them to mean something to me.
Also don’t play dumb you know exactly what i meant with the ego talk…
Fair enough. For me it’s more of a collector mentality - any collector covets rare items for various reasons, some of them are based on ego and to show off, without a doubt. I don’t think about it like that - that doesn’t mean that subconsciously ego doesn’t play a part.

Are you going to get these pixels graded too?
in the end of the day its all about a healthy balance.
Recently they decided to bring back m+ dungeon portals… But still no MT, not even recolors… gg indie company ^^
