As the title states. No one cares about aggro, no one cares about getting a clean pull, all they care about is go go go. When you I tell them the importance of aggro it is laughed away and when I give constructive critisism on this topic, people tell me to lighten up. 90% of the dps are idiots. As a tank no one gives a sh!t about your job or how difficult they make it, or how much fun they take from it. There is a shortage of tanks everywhere and it’s not because tanking isn’t fun, it’s engaging and pulling off good pulls feels right and SAVES TIME BY SAVING MANA.
The shortage of tanks I assume lies with the dps just making tanking something where you run after people that are just blasting their load after you told them to give you some time for each pull. Do you mind waiting before a pull? Then learn some teamwork and patience. This attitude is (for me) by far the worst problem with Classic

I just let them die to mobs. I always save the healer but these stupid mages who just spam frostbolts before I even get the first sunder in I don’t give 2 cents about.
If they think I’m a bad tank I couldn’t care less.

I won’t actually let them die, I meant it more as “I won’t take the blame if they get aggro and die”
Who cares, when RFC run takes 2 hours. DPS’s job is to do damage, your job is to protect them as much as possible, while also doing damage and the healer’s job is to keep people alive and also do damage if he is free. Doing damage is the most important thing in a dungeon/raid. Damage kills stuff, it’s not sponging, not healing, it’s damage. If your dps dies, because you are salty that someone pulled agro, you are a bad tank.
I’ll start giving a sh!t when tanks start pulling at range instead of charging in the middle of a room full of mobs. With some tanks ninjapulling is the only way to save yourself a headache and avoid wipes.
And before you ask, yes, the tank had a ranged weapon and yes, I asked him very nicely to pull with it.
you don’t get this game, you don’t. you don’t know how it works, you don’t know how to operate it, you need to learn it or leave. And you keep your bile to yourself, it’s useless. If you over aggro you are bad, you Resist are bad at this game
Pulling aggro doesn’t make you a good/bad dps.
Peeling mobs from dps doesn’t make you a good/bad tank.
The only thing that makes you a good tank/dps is being able to explain what you do to your group, quickly and convincingly. Or stop doing what you do if the party disagrees.
The only bad players are those who can’t adapt to the human beings they play with.
If you let people die as a tank, because you are too proud or whatever, then you are a horrible tank. You will not be able to have aggro all the time, thats how classic is - a single shield slam miss, a 2 second stun in which you cant do anything, these things will happen. No dps will die if they get aggro from a single trash mob, so either you guys do a lot more wrong than you are willing to admit, or we are playing a different game.
