Every RPer was an OOCer once. I don’t think you understand how this works. As Roleplayers quit you need people to start RPing in order to make up for it. And if you just scare off everyone…

I have explained it. Non-RPers are exposed to RP frequently, it might make them want to try it. That exposure isn’t there on non-RP realms.

I don’t need non-rpers on the realm to sustain my non-rp needs in the modern age of LFG, bnet and cross realm systems.

The amount of people on AD that you can actually do high level PVE & PVP with is ridiculously low anyways, so it’s already a ghost town in that sense.

Unfortunately, a lot of the worst people I’ve met on the server have been RPers.
Guild drama, ERP, stalking/harassment both IC and OOC, taking IC -into- OOC.

Don’t get me wrong – OOCers can be horrid too, ofc, but I’ve seen so many examples of weird RPers that sometimes talking to someone who isn’t part of that community on WoW can be a relief.

I used to play on Lightnings Blade, I moved to an RP server and immediately RPed at a friend’s suggestion. I didn’t move, see RPers, OOC around them and think “I’ll do that”.

Drama that’s happened in Argent Dawn’s RP community is hardly anything unique in regards to the fanbase at large, it’s just more noticeable because the community is more tight knit and vocal.
