Not all roleplay is for all roleplayers

I’m making a vulpera character with three tails who was raised in Pandaria. She also has pristine arctic fur and attended Dalaran magic school where she was top of the class!

She is also a bit of a clutz :3 but everyone loves her anyway.

Which is returning Paladins to Alliance and Shamans to the Horde, right?
Right?

Obahar is a bit of a celebrity among the vulpera communities at this point.

If I had image posting rights, I’d post here the Dark Soul’s one, the one with a giant guy as Obahar and the tiny guy as any future Vulpera trying to RP it as the creepy and disgusting versions we’ve been acquainted and intimately aware of.

Err, maybe, but it does sound a bit of stretch for something so trivial as an obscure toy you fish somewhere in Gilneas. There are plenty of toys in Alliance-only and Horde-only cities/regions.

We literally did that and nobody was complaining about us.

Granted, we’re not with the Horde but the Alliance community would probably not see the distinction even if we flaunted our worgen harder-

Anyway, why are you people arguing in circles? The Forsaken army helped, Gilneans chatted CALMLY with Menethil and Voss before they left for Pyrewood Village to give the Gilneans space and time to celebrate and rebuild with their own hands. There is still RP potential. Material transportation through Silverpine Forest, cross-faction interactions at the wall, joint escorts of civilians, joint military operations… and maybe even the same in Hillsbrad since the Alliance are also rebuilding Southshore in peace of late…

Just create a little RP. The faction war fanatics won’t notice what isn’t happening inside Gilneas City, people will still have RP in/by/adjancent to Gilneas, and everyone will be happier for it.

Does this look like the face of a man who can be considered “trivial”?

Oke, going to play devil’s advocate here, BUT:

The game also allowed us to make Night Elven Darkfallen since Shadowlands(reclamation of Lordaeron), but it was not until the current patch where we learned they only now returned to the Night Elven ranks(and thus the Alliance).

Yet alot of people, including myself, argued that because they were added, they already rejoined the Alliance and Night Elfs, until we found out this patch that they actually did not up until now.

Do with that as you will

I thought about that. I was also one of the people who argued that it counted as canon; and I don’t think this case is very much different: we don’t have full confirmation, but it looks like this is the case, or that it might be the case in the future.

Ironically, however, the Dark Rangers ended up being canon members of the Alliance.

You were killed and raised. BAM.

Slowly, yes, through progression of the story. Emerald Dream patch dialogue shows us that by 10.2 they still weren’t accepted. By 10.2.5 they finally are. The argument at the time wasn’t that “Darkfallen can never join the Alliance” but that that “Darkfallen haven’t joined the Alliance yet.”

also it only applies to night elf darkfallen.

Don´t forget Eredar paladins (who get 0 reaction from anyone in 10.2).
One could even think that the game doesn´t 100% reflect the lore and that there are things in it that exist purely to appease the playerbase that cares more about pretty new customization options than the lore.

This. Most of my alliance toons are Gilneans, like Des and his brother Hargorin, and they are pretty moderate in their views regarding the Horde, but even they are like “Hold up, why were these Forsaken even here, I don’t trust them.” Since despite their moderate views, they did fight against the Forsaken and saw what they did during the invasion.
