Ok, so I’m gonna help you and every other paladin out here. It’s not ok. It’s not ok for you, it’s not ok for the mages getting 1 shot, it’s not ok for the priests being deleted by hunters and it’s not ok for the rogue and wars facing the same problems. Ok? It’s op and busted.
So you see how pretty much every class outside of hunters are agreeing that it’s overturned and stupid gameplay? (I’ve even seen a lot of hunters agreeing) LOOK AROUND, have just a fraction of the capability to think critically or logically - and this goes to any paladin main who is defending this BS. Everyone is in agreement that hitting 6-8 attacks in 1 GCD is absurd for full dmg. No matter the class. If there was a rune which made WF hit twice for every proc every class would agree the same way.
Go on either forum, us or EU and everyone is complaining about paladins suddenly globalling everyone. Because apparently overnight rets went from fine (or glass cannons running this setup) to just deleting everyone. This shoulder ench was designed for a prot pala set, not 2h DPS.
Anytime I see people bring this up all of you morons just lose your collective minds complaining about classes and abilities that practically EVERYONE agrees with while refusing to give any understanding of how other players are experiencing your class.
And I wish this would sink in to everyone, better yet anyone. Games, (especially MMOs) should not be balanced with the top percentage of players in mind. Players of all capabilities should be able to play PvP or any other form of the game. The whole “git gud” or “skill issue” argument is the biggest indicator of someone who has no understanding, besides their own experience of the game. If enough noobs are complaining about something in the game, that’s just as valid as pros moaning about the state of the game. Because if they stop playing, the good players who invested the time and energy into the game are aboard a sinking ship.
This isn’t an issue of imbalance. Imbalanced is boomkins placing 2 dots and starfall to kill someone or ele shamans spamming flameshock and lava burst to kill groups with rng and brain-dead aoe. Both of these things put these classes as heavily favoured in most of not all their PvP combat scenarios.
Paladins are currently capable of negating all long term investment people have put into their characters.
After ranking as an enhanced shammy to r14, I actually enjoyed the grind even if my char was unable to deal with players who were better geared or when I would have to put much more effort into counter playing others. I find challenging gameplay fun, believe it or not. But literally the week before getting r14, paladins with a handful of T1/T2 and their new shoulder enchant were relieved of any critical thinking or skillful play. Phase 7 effectively turned rets into high lvl elite mobs with thrash. There’s nothing dynamic about the gameplay, nothing skill based. Every single paladin has been reduced to the same tier of gameplay. Good paladins don’t stand out because all of them hit crusader strike and delete their enemy, and if they don’t kill them first time round they’ll kill them the second. Most of the classes have different phases of gameplay, swapping from a defensive phase to aggressive. Warrs have things like disarm, shield wall, equipping a shield and defensive stance. Casters and ranged will swap from prioritising kiting skills (frost nova, frost trap, death coil, barkskin and on and on) to their dmg. Paladins have the same answer for every situation against every class. Rep (> HoJ if trinket) > seals > crusader strike. Then bubble in case of emergency. Paladins have such a variety of abilities that never get used because there’s no need, it’s boring. Same as ele shamans and frost mages ATM imo.
But because all you gold fish brained palas will have forgotten what I said at the start of this essay. Yes other classes have BS tuning too, but you’re a cut above the rest!
