I can’t comment on that, I didn’t play Pservers.

have u considered retail? there are no world buffs there and u can teleport directly to the raid

Yep, don’t like the direction its heading.

well u dont like classic and it’s heading nowhere

I’m not sure how you made that leap tbh, I do like classic a lot. I have played it a lot. I just don’t like the WB meta, and the AV meta.

so u like classic but not pvp or pve

Brother, with all due respect. I don’t know how you are coming to these conclusions. I like the majority of classic, the raids, the PVP, the leveling. I just don’t like the WB and AV meta.

AV meta is what pve is gonna look like when they keep listening to people like you.
You are too lazy to pick up buffs once a a week, same principle with people on retail being too lazy to walk to the raid once a week. Even before chronoboons it wasn’t an issue as everyone just has summon alts for every world buff. World buffs tend to get blamed for trash guilds where people die every week

I don’t want chronoboons, I don’t want the AV rush meta. I want classic at it is, heck, I even want worldbuffs to be dispellable again.

u need layers gone before chronoboons & dispelable world buffs have any effect.
av rush meta = playing the “bg” properly. the real fix is to remove AV and have WSG & AB be a shared queue as 10 mans.

This is the real solution. Horde rogues are so desperate that they’re trying to kill people in the alliance inn, just to help them to get rid of buffs. Imagine no chronoboons. So much world pvp around raid entrances, it would be insanely fun. Blizzard are killing all the fun by introducing carebear mechanics like chronoboons. Instead they should expire world buffs on offline characters, so no offline abuse anymore, problem solved.

As a vanilla and more recently classic player, that had its share of wasted buffs by dispells or just killed toons, in town or near a raid entrance, I’d welcome the removal of chronoboons.

It felt like a relief when introduced and I was very happy to have my WB secured, can’t lie about it.

But if someone told me how stupid this would become, with players that can’t picture doing anything without it and demanding others to have WB so they can join whatever party or raid, I would have call him a liar.

How many time was I in a party, waiting for that last dude still in SW/ZG for his buff, that sometimes never came, while everyone was waiting at Maraudon entrance ?

And yes, AV rush has been out of control since Classic and keeps being the most boring pvp experience ever. I miss those looong gone AV that could sometimes last for hours, with tons of epics moves and drama.

I must be that old…

Don’t worry about it. Some people have forgotten that this game should be about having fun, rather than being a sweaty try-hard for the false sense of accomplishment which they desperately lack IRL so they’re overcompensating in-game.
No one really cares about the 99 parsers, but themselves.

Not even true.

I spend about 300-350g w/ a flask in there and that covers AQ40(tanking). if you are with a guild where there is a constant problem with a half dozen players not doing their jobs and leading to preventable deaths and wipes you should leave.
If your guild is requiring you to go hard on consumes for BWL or MC after AQ because they have trouble clearing quickly(probably due to the reason above) you should leave.
if loot is not being done in a way that awards people who deserve it, you should leave. Don’t just think of yourself but watch other classes loot too. A good raid group runs on 40 people.

300-400g is not difficult and takes a 3-4 hours for a non-mage to get if you farm correctly. Vanilla WoW has always been a time sink and it is supposed to be that way. You have things to do. The more careless people you play with the more expensive and more time consuming it becomes. If you think that try-harding is expensive go and look at speed running guild there consume usage versus a semi-hardcore guild who has people re-consuming 2-3 times during the raid because of dumb mistakes that occur every week and no one improves. You consume once and your basically set - with re-consuming firewater or AP juju. Other people’s performance effects your WoW pocket book.

They should just remove world buffs in current content raids tbh. This would level down classes that benefit from AP and the haste from rend and balance raid clearing a bit - but wouldn’t totally fix it ofc. The AV Rush meta isn’t going away because of how they changed the PVP ranking system. Everyone that plays has done 100s to 1000s of AVs at this point across there time playing and no one enjoys it. If they made honor from WSG, AB, and included new BGs or re-skinned BGs like Deepwind Gorge or EoTS into a vanilla themed BG it would improve this. AV sucks but it is the only way to rank.

My wish would be that on HC realm BGs do exist to just have a break from the survival thing. But even if there were BGs there wouldn’t be pops like on Era, I’m afraid.

The complete miss of PvP stops me from playing on HC even though I’d really like to. Had much fun on Stitches that time, but leveling on 2 realms to only do some PvP is too much for me.

Yeah, Blizz, why don’t you give the PvP hungry HC players their “just for fun BGs” No deaths, no rewards, no XP, just fun.

I’d be on HC asap.

I would like more softcore version of hardcore WoW. I don’t play hardcore, because I’m very attached to my characters and will drop the game after first death at 40+ level, that’s for sure.

However I like the idea of making the world more dangerous place. Because let’s face it, in ordinary WoW death means nothing. Few minutes of wasted time. Very minor annoyance.

What I’d like to see is something in between. I don’t really know, how to implement it. May be remove 5 levels and two random items. Something like that would make death very dangerous, but will allow you to recover in a few days.

the idea of hardcore is the opposite of regular wow. in regular wow death is a necessary process to learn. Hardcore relies on getting all the information from others, not taking any risk yourself.

You are not supposed to play hardcore unless you already learned the game.

Deaths generally do have a massive impact, a wipe in a raid can almost double the time it takes to clear it, if you wipe in AQ40 that means no world buffs in BWL & MC aswell. Similar story in dungeons, just the run back can be the time it takes to clear maybe 1/3rd
