I like it. Derek could marry Calia in a non-matrilineal marriage. This would give House Proudmoore a claim on the throne of Lordaeron. Now all that’s left is for either Jaina or Tandred to produce an heir.
Going back to the topic, Calia just replaced Sylvanas as the hottest undead in Warcraft.
It’s at times like this where I wish I had trust level 3.
Gib me my memes Blizzard, I beg of ye.

The Forsaken will be delighted to have Arthas’ sister as their new leader. Brings back so many happy memories.
Ok, theorethically, her fans are no more since Sylvanas killed them, but if Blizz wants it, the others will love her anyway. (and those who don’t can join Sylvanas and Nathanos in the Shadowlands or wherever they go after bfa)
Plus we definitely need more alliance friendly horde leaders.
Calia will then lead her people on their new shiny path of the Light and they will only do good things from now on.
On the day of Anduin’s wedding with Baine she will announce they will join the alliance.

Players so far don’t agree. Fans the least.

Sylvanas is basically Arthas anyway yet I don’t see the Forsaken having a problem with that. And since the Night Elves don’t have a problem following the Betrayer’s brother, I don’t see what is the issue. Of all the arguments you could find against Calia, that is the weakest.

Lol nope. She’s done nothing for the forsaken in 15 years. You actually think people will follow a new leader that has done nothing for their society ?
Also shall I remember you that Arthas destroyed the kingdom of Lordaeron?

There is also the possibility that Calia murders Anduin and starts to rule over all the Alliance.
Also there is no throne of Lordaeron since there is no Lordaeron since the end of warcraft 3 reign of chaos.

The possibilities are endless, which is why I welcome Calia. The story is a joke anyway, so I don’t really care. I wouldn’t mind to see her bring back the one and only Garithos and Uther for the lolz.

Remember “Before the Storm” ?
In that novel we can clearly see that there’s still Forsaken that have families in the Alliance side.
Remember Farley ?
The Forsaken who died with Kelantir, at Razor Hill, for showing regrets for Garrosh actions at Theramore ?
He also had a brother in the Alliance side.
Seeing how Christie Golden writes her stories, I believe there will be something like a UN Azeroth.
Just my thoughts.
Cheers.

As your future Warchief I will simply say that I don’t want Calia in any Alliance or Horde. Light undead screams of dangerous tides.
We go to war warriors! For the Horde! To seek vengeance for the crimes against Azeroth!
Well…the few living that they managed to screen successfully did not exactly embrace their dead family members with love iirc. (Too many seeking blood and death). And then Sylvanas had the Forsaken/Desolate Council killed in a massacre. The remainder aren’t going to risk it again, even if they could rely upon love and understanding from the living humans.
Good, love the new model. Hopefully it’s a new Alliance allied race. I was always the only person here advocating for “The Redeemed” and that is still true. Give me that Lordaeron goodness, herflets don’t deserve them anyway.

That’s because Leejun was stupid, exactly how I feel about Liadrin. Forced neutrality is the worst thing Blizzard came up with.

Sylvanas’s reign is built on lies, manipulation and an illusion of caring. All you really need is something to kick the door down and the entire rotting house will follow.
Luckily Calia isn’t Arthas. The first thing Arthas did was kill his father ya’know which kinda destroys the entire point of their family to be blamed when they were the first targets. And Teneras is still held in high regard which further diminishes the original point.
Quite worrisome to note that said circumstance (assuming its 100% accurate), has benefited the Forsaken more than anything their “Legitimate” ruler has ever done for them.

Yes surely forsaken fans ever since w3/vanilla will start to rally under the banner of a character they have never met and has never done anything for them.
Can’t wait for the forsaken to follow a queen that used to shag footmen in stables and has hidden her marriage from the highly regarded Terenas.
As King Terenas turned his attention to Arthas, Calia fell in love with someone her father would never have approved of: a Lordaeron footman. Once in the dark of night, they snuck away and begged a priestess to marry them. Eventually she became pregnant and confided in her mother Lianne Menethil, who aided her in keeping her relationship and pregnancy a secret. After she gave birth, it was decided the father would raise their daughter away from Lordaeron, ignorant of her birthright.

Sylvanas reign is built on that, it doesn’t take a genius to see that.
And what benefits has Sylvanas brought to the Forsaken exactly? United them and gave them a home only for her to abuse it to get what she wants?
Ye sure she did do more I guess.
Well she cared enough to let the Forsaken handle themselves as she thought she didn’t have a place with them because she was alive. It was only during the meeting where she finally understood what was required with her, that and the Naruu.
Couldn’t you argue it was for the best for both the Forsaken and her to let things go how they did? Or would you prefer her to act earlier, rally either other Forsaken or perhaps the SC/AD/AC and wage war for her claim?
Oppose to one what uses them for personal gain and would get them all killed if that leader could survive for a few more days?
Does being used really appeal that much to you? Or is your character so far down the rabbit hole to think otherwise?
Hard to take it seriously as Sylvanas fell in love with a Human Ranger :P. Rather hypocritical standpoint considering you can argue that the Windrunners are also a prominent family which are (I think) also part of the nobility.

And fight for their rights to hold the land when the Alliance wanted to flush them out.
And give them the payback they so desired against the one that made them such.
And secure allies and protection for them when the Alliance turned their backs towards their plea.
Yeah, not the best kind of ruler. But at least she fought for something resembling a future for them.
Where was Calia during all that? She could’ve intervened in their favour when they extended a hand towards the Alliance. She could’ve halted the Alliance aggression against them.
She could’ve publicly denounced her brother and lead them in just Vengeance.
Sure, Sylvanas used them as a weapon. But at least she kept them in good shape, and secured a future for them.
To the point she even had them gaining the ambition to expand and grow beyond self pitying.
And it’d be disingenuous to say that there isn’t a large amount of said people that agree with her mindset and ways.
Calia is a completely unknown figure that only showed up to mouth her “rights” but that seemed all to willing to turn a blind eye to the needs of the people she states to represent.
Virtue signalling, and proclaiming how understandable she is regarding them, amounts for little. She did nothing when she could’ve.
She has zero in common with them.
And so far, she’s been rather comfortable sticking around the ones that would rather wipe them out less than a year ago (some still do).

If I have to choose between the Kardashians or Brenda that pops babies in the garbage can in the middle of the night I think we both know who is the lesser evil.
You can’t even compare the two relations since the implications are far horrible on Calia’s side.
At least Sylvanas in life didn’t throw dirt on Anesterian’s mantle and legacy.
Unlike Calia did with Terenas, by literally fu cking around with a random footman.
Imagine being Terenas and finding out that your daughter just popped a random baby out of nowhere without even telling you. Now imagine your wife has kept that secret also. You know the queen of the kingdom.
The more we discuss this the more I feel sorry for Terenas and how degenerate his children have become, especially when he has dedicated all his life to give them and the people he was responsible for everything they ever needed.
Yes forsaken players mostly respect Terenas. But that respect is only for him alone. The rest of that family deserves nothing but heads on spikes.
You take that respect for granted just because he has been a good father and a good king. Maybe his children should’ve learned that for him, instead of fu cking around like spoiled brats.
The mantles of his children are too dirty to be washed away. At least this way Terenas doesn’t have to roll in his grave every second Calia does something.

My prediction: Calia will travel to Uther’s Tomb and raise Uther and all the other fallen paladins and troops who were slaughtered by Arthas to get Kel’Thuzad’s remains.
