What do you even mean – S tiers denote the very best of specializations, so I don’t see how that are “not a real tier”. How do they undermine the purpose of making tier lists?

Nope, arms does crazy damage - but its hard to see when any time you look at the damage meters ret is 20k DPS above everyone else and usually 30-50% more damage than everyone else total, too.
Even in BGs where usually wizards dominate DPS meters, rets fly past them while barely trying

If rets do 30-50% more dmg total as you say, I kinda feel like the other dps are bad. Arms warriors are up there in 3s in dmg, and dont forget the MS/sharpen blade effect with it. What do you believe is the most annoying for healers?
As long WoW remain game where its matter what you play more than how you play, we will have AWC without respect, forum will breed hatred and disrespect… just because blizzard fail a simple and only important PVP goal, make game where better win…

Sure, but even a bad ret can do great damage in that case, because all of the abilities are 20 yard range, most of them cleave and most of them have short cooldowns with high crit chances thanks to wings.
It may be the case that ret is only 10-15% better than the next DPS, but in reality due to how easy the damage is to get off, most of the time your shuffle meters are going to look like this:

I have a grand total of 1 day played at max level in Dragonflight as ret and most of that is AFKing in town - i still am somehow running rings around every DPS at 2300 MMR in shuffle, when I am so bad at ret I don’t even run sanctuary and don’t even bother to bless or flash of light my team mates. I literally just zug zug and win after the 2nd or 3rd wings 99% of games (currently 20-4) at 2300 mmr / 1900 rating
Most specs are not like this. Unholy DK does crazy damage, but it is like playing a piano to get it off and you can’t do it every 1 minute. Ele shaman also does absurd damage but they have to keep up dots , kite and fish for procs. Arms does crazy damage as well if you can get everyone clumped in 8 or so yards and warbreaker>roar them all.
Ret just walks into the arena, thumps their swifty macro and does top dmg. All of the games I have won I have ignored holy power, pressed wake of ashes at 5 HP, pressed Divine Toll at 5 HP, and I still do absurd damage - and no it isn’t divine storm spam other than the free ones you get.
So yeah, in reality ret is probably only 10-15% ahead of other top tier DPS atm (i think destro would probably crush it if they were ever allowed to play the game), but ret is so easy and so oppressive that no one else can play the game when a ret is in their lobby, at least 2300 MMR and below.

Never said rets arent easy after the rework, but its almost like you are saying Arms Warriors are hard to play compared to ret, seen plenty of bad arms doing great dmg aswell and thats based of ST, but yes, ret does great dmg and most of it is also cleave which is why you will see quite high DPS as them just due to it.
Theres alot of people who keeps talking about “yeah but look at rets, look at xxx” to try to make another spec seem like its not overtuned.
FV, BoJ are 20 yards.
Judgement, HoW, DT and FR are 30yards.
Wings gives 10% crit chance and 10% extra dmg and alot of rets are more into Crusade build currently.
You might want to look into 3s streams where they play Rets on high rating, you are giving examples that are more in line with “fine picking” the most obvious ones and you also have to remember, prior experience in higher rating/spec/melee helps towards knowing what u do in certain situations.
Just saying that “max lvl in dragonflight” means nothing if you’ve had prior understanding/knowledge of the spec beforehand since they made it alot easier compared to before.
