Quel’Thalas languishes under the rule of Lor’themar Theron, slowly fading away into obscurity. No longer is it the jewel of the Eastern Kingdoms, but just a pathetic shadow of a once glorious past. The throne has sat empty since the fall of the traitor Prince, Kael’thas, but it shall not remain this way forever. What if we could restore that throne? What if there were a Sunstrider to rally behind? What if we could regain all that was lost?
The Rise of the Last Sun, Chronicler Rimilian.
About the Dawn
After the departure of the Ranger-Captain, the High Priestess led the Dawn to the best of her capabilities, to unify the fractured elven nation. However, her more peaceful methods were too ineffective, receiving only mocking and disdain from their blood elven brethren. A new approach must now be taken, with passive methods consigned to the past.
Rank Structure
The Conclave
The Conclave, consisting of High Priestess Talirei Everwood, and Erulas Silithar, lead and guide the order - both through battle, and through the finer means of diplomacy. They serve, not only, as direct commanders in the field, but also work to maintain the Dawn itself - ensuring the quality, and advancements, of its members.
The Prefects
The Prefects serve as the fingers of the Conclave - ensuring that the commands from above are completed in a timely order and fashion, while also serving as rallying points in the chaos of battle. Their duties are minor, and often heavily specialised, yet their command, and authority is not to be misjudged, nor doubted.
The Chosen
The Chosen stand as the most coveted rank within the Dawn. They are the chosen champion - picked for their innate ability for the magical, or the martial. They serve as the personal guardian of the members of the Conclave, often travelling alongside them to secretive outings, or important meetings - and as such, are sworn to utmost secrecy.
The Devoted
The Devoted are, as the name states, those most devoted to the cause. They have stood, and succeeded, against fierce odds, and have time after time proven both their dedication and devotion to the cause. This is the most senior rank before entering the creed of grand-scale leadership, and also where the coveted position of Chosen is picked from. In dire times, members of the Devoted may serve to keep order on the battlefield.
The Proselytes
The Proselytes stand as the rank-and-file of the Dawn. They have both stood the test of time, but also completed their trials. Their dedication to the cause has been proven in both battle, and times of peace, but their fate within the order is still to be decided, and they have much work to do.
The Unproven
The Unproven stand as the newest, untested members of the Dawn. While their loyalty is not questioned, they stand before many trials and difficulties before being able to call themselves Proselytes, and as such, full members of the guild.
What are we looking for?
FAQ
What races do you accept?
High elves and some half elves (using the void elf model, and under stricter requirements) are the only races accepted in the Azure Dawn. Void elves and Blood elves are not.
What classes do you accept?
We are currently accepting Warriors, Hunters, Rogues, Priests and Mages. Monks may be accepted on a case by case basis. Death Knights/Necromancers and Fel using Warlocks are not accepted.
What is your stance on new players?
New players that are willing to learn, grow and develop their role-play are more than welcome to join; after all, no one is perfect and we’ve all had to start from somewhere and we all continue to improve our role play.
Where are you based?
Primarily we will be based in a combination of Stromgarde/Stormwind, to keep close to our allies and of course our goal in the north - Quel’Thalas, with our goal to dwell in all places beginning with S (Silvermoon).
What is your viewpoint on the Silver Covenant?
Despite the fact that the Silver Covenant are supposedly in the Alliance, this organisation is largely disliked by the leadership of the Dawn, due to their constant failings both diplomatically and militaristic, and their flip-flopping between neutrality as and when it suits them.
Do you have a uniform?
We do not have a fixed uniform, but a colour scheme based on blue and gold, along with the guild tabard, and a specific cape. There is of course also a vibe check to make sure your choice of attire fits the aesthetic of the guild. Outside of events you are of course allowed to wear whatever you wish within reason (no black mageweave pls).
What are your attendance rules?
Within the Azure Dawn, the team of DM’s do their best to ensure that the calendar is filled with various types of events on a wide range of days, to ensure that everyone will be able to attend something. However, we understand that real life does, and should, take precedence over WoW.
What sort of events can I expect?
Events range from campaigns with a long, on-going theme, to one off training events, social events and organised RP-PvP. There are also events catered to individual character development thrown into this mix! We work with a variety of different guilds across both factions, and even enjoy the odd OOC games/karaoke night every so often.
If you’d like to join our group, you can do so by whispering any of our online members who will be happy to point you towards an available officer, or by contacting one of us directly if you see us! A little more info can be found on our website; www.azure-dawn.com
Currently, recruiting officers are Talirei and Erulas.
