[PCU] Anti-Crown Stormwind Protest- 22nd August

I’d argue that the most well known Undead RPer on the server (not a statement on his quality just of his prominence before I get called PCU) who also runs the most well known Undead racial guild on the server is probably not trying to make people who play the Undead class feel unwelcome OOC.

One little riot isn’t anywhere near as bad as it being the norm for Warlocks/DKs being shunned IC and most guilds that weren’t ‘evil’ refusing to recruit the classes either.

are you going to lambast blizzard for making the scourge invasion turn stormwind into an undead warzone and have people become paranoid about DKs too

because thats targeting the same demographic even more profoundly

If you can’t stomach IC conflict, then it sounds like RP isn’t for you, bro. Sorry to say.

Conflict? In my World of Warcraft? The audacity.

This is exactly everything wrong with roleplay on argent dawn, and how it has riddled and infested the server.

OOCness, you see your logic here makes 0 sense, and this is what irritates me these kinds of posts.

“ Way to make a demographic of the RP community feel unweclome.”

What you are saying here completely contradicts your intent, if the Death Knights and whatever “community” were unwelcome, then they’d find themselves under the pretense of prohibition to the actual event and roleplay generated.

That would be, indefinitely unwelcoming.

But nobody is saying that, actually the opposite. The Death Knights are being placed on the pedestal of importance and relevancy and are the driving factor for this initiative, they are the crux of the inclusivity especially for the event and the roleplay generated. So say at what point they’re unwelcome?

The in character perspective is completely irrelevant, that’s in character, and you should handle that in character; furthermore it’s generating roleplay.

I didn’t know the Shal’dorei could operate anything.

What’s a Shal’dorei? Never heard of them!

It’s a type of cheese. Honestly Kump, you need to get out of Frostfire more often.

You’re not being a social justice warrior, you’re just being a voice that doesn’t need to be heard, and frankly; plain daft.

These sorts of pseudo endeavours only spread the wrong message to players, people should be wanting to get involved with the goings on in the server, and what better way than a public event? It’s entirely counterproductive your view, you simply don’t offer anything alternative other than saying “think of all the void elves that got hurt”. These sorts of petty drama mongering onslaughts are what causes people to be introverts to the server, because they’re tired of the likes you throwing in their OOC opinion like it’s a vanity fair magazine. It breeds just a cesspit of stupidity.

Don’t mistake me, players are well within their right not to attend, and the majority are of the maturity to be able to suffice one day with a certain level of in character chaos.

Speaking as another (what i presume) filthy neutral who often gets exceptionally stressed out and defensive over unplanned IC conflict:
Don’t forget that at all times, you’re the only one who decides what happens to your character; even if you don’t participate directly, you can treat the event as something that happened in the world and that your character can react/form an opinion to - turn that gutfeel discomfort into a prompt for your own RP.

Do you not like the Undead? How very dare you.

It is sad you feel this way but it is an IC event and i am sure on Saturday if people feel they can not come due to there IC character being attacked that is Role Play as far as i am aware. But having said that I am sure when i log on on Sunday there will still be Void Elfs all over the city doing what they normally do.
I would love to rp a DK more now with Shadowlands dropping soon but the bigger issue is when you read about wanting to join a guild you see in OCC info "No DK,s or Warlocks so perhaps this is the fight you need to be championing?

The park after midnight, tis a horror show.

This will sadly 100% happen, plus a whole bunch of lvl1s mixed in shouting IRL chants. Could probably make a drinking game out of it, take a shot every time someone /yells BLM, belarus, antifa, statues, racism, etc.

I love these kind of events. There’s way less control, way less scripting, so anything can happen. It can go exactly right or very wrong. Fun either way.

It’s hard to deny that certain roleplayers, mostly because of how much roleplay they’ve organized on this server, have a bit of authority, certainly amongst communities. And there’s always been people who felt they need to tell those community leaders what they should and should not do. It’s always been best to completely ignore that ‘advice’. They’re just looking for a cheap and easy way to be influential, without actually joining the community and organizing roleplay for it.
