Yes, yes I know that roleplay is obviously done via the medium of an OOC person at a computer that writes the character / controls them. You donāt need to write a small treatise to explain that to me
What I mean is that Iām not invested in your OOC opinion on any of that, though I also donāt mind if you give it purely because itās fun to post here. Really you are someone who I only know through this forum argument and also someone I will forget almost instantly. You OOC worries will not weigh on me heavily - in fact they will not weigh at all. Your original post (on an alt character, right?) read like you didnāt really have a grasp on what the āPCUā is and made it seem like you believed it was an IC entity that exists within the scope of the serverās story so I think from that point any hot take is pretty likely to be best served chilled
My interest when it comes to you as a player on this server at this time is only in terms of roleplay we might have that may / may not be fun

Role play only makes sense if
an out of character direction
sets conditions for role play.
Without a common direction, you can have no role play.
If you have an agreed upon direction
only (?) role play will enhance the experience of the players that agreed upon their common direction.

Thatās not the point. You didnāt understand. OOC as a pervasive framework implies that in works on more levels and that the IC is dependent on the framework used.
For example my question fairly generic and motivated not only by IC concern, but also OOC concern. I havenāt formulated it because I have delusions of grandeur, but just because my approach towards RP is used by other people too. Considering my concern was fairly generic, I think many people would be interested in the reply and adopt it.
So, yes, my question was underlying a deeper one: your OOC attitude going to clash with that of many other people by promoting a spirit which is seemingly more uncooperative?
And that is why you should care and you do, in fact, care.

What exactly is your concern?
Is it that the PCU community wonāt continue now some of their guilds are no longer the favoured race in Orgrimmar? (PCU are fine thanks)
Is it that you think weāll all be horrible IC because some of our guilds were almost zealot type loyalists? (people have answered this, weāve had a regime change and a fun new rp focus ahead)
Or are you just trying to be a āconcerned citizenā because you heard from a friend of a friend of a friend that PCU are bad, they will try to ruin your rp, run away? (weāre not, we wonāt, run if you like)

I said above why OOC attitude in general is important. That makes your OOC attitude, by inclusion, important too. Again, just try to think instead of throwing mud and discussions will be easy and less exhausting.
My concern has been solved already tbh. This is a petty discussion between me and the pandaren about a fairly tangent thing (does IC affect OOC and why is/was my OOC concern, which is already solved anyway, important?) which he didnāt want to stop. I hesitated twice but as he kept going forward calling me out, I replied.
You are just obfuscating really simple statements that come down to āI have a problem with your OOC attitudeā ever since you are posting in this thread, itās painfully obvious that youāve just come to do some quick snipes on your alt character

Except that, if you read my posts, you realize that thereās nothing of such in this thread. But I do care about OOC attitudes towards IC concepts, as people should do, and therefore I have asked.
Youāre just repeating an incredibly simple concept everyone understands in an esoteric way that makes you feel like some philosopher king but does pretty much the opposite

Yeah but your disagreements donāt matter because you have very little grasp on the entities youāre discussing (PCU/Stygian Legion etc) and frequently mistake what they are and make a meandering point that nobody can be bothered to follow
My OOC attitude is absolutely important but not in the way you understand. My role isnāt really to make some ghostly altposter (or main, it doesnāt matter - a character basically non-existent in the in-game roleplaying scenes to my knowledge) think Iām a sweetheart

Yeah anyway.
The repercussions of the siege can 100% be seen and have affected many guilds. The Raiders for example has had to kill their ow- I mean they were givenā¦ a new Stone Guard and has a shift in their storyline. As sudden and maybe weird the new lore is it has made for interesting/refreshing RP.

It was basically about the real intent of the new stygians: if the idea that people were going to play according to the values of the rebels (Saurfangās) or if it was a double play enacting the type of corrupt officer that you see so often in the Alliance, where power is just an excuse to get your way (and that is so liked by people!). I could see the second one working anyway, but it was much more of a stretch.
