With Nâzothâs domain invaded by Heroes of Azeroth, the Cult leave the Waking City which they hid two of their major artifacts with, making their base of operation within the Twilight Highlands. The Black Order splits off, the Executor sending his agents and High Cultists everywhere, from northern Lordaeron to Ashenvale.
Enoch looked upon the gem, showing his mangled face to whomever was at the other side of it. âIt is a gift.â He thought, clasping his hands around it.
âThe earth has bestowed this upon me, it wishes to grant me insight. Though, I am still half-blind. I know there is another, a twin, it shall be mine. Then, the soil will reveal what I must do.â He notes down the words in a journal, knitting it together once the page has been filled. Itâs put within a pouch, hung around his neck. The journal is packed within his robeâs lining.
Enoch now holds one of the Crimson Eyes.
This night in Strahnbrad, Arnall Hollowtongue is handed the second right piece of the Cosmic Crown of Terror by Executor Ashemere. He is ordered to keep it safe.
Atop the steps leading to the barracks, Oritaru was given the excerpt of the Accursed Almanac, Part III. Which he intends to study.
This evening the Matron of the Melody struck a deal with the Saurfang Legion to offer her orders services in securing and dealing with this Crown⌠She has begun supplying the Barracks with Moonstone and Mana Crystals, as well as ordering her Lunar Guard to position there.
During the night in Strahnbrad, Arnall Hollowtongue was given the second right piece of the Cosmic Crown of Terror by Executor Ashemere, which he will keep safe by the orders of his Executor even if it meant he has to die for it.
Enoch peers into the Crimson Eye, having taken it out of the pouch. He looks into it, showing nothing but his own visage to whomever may see.
âI know it was you that sent the elf here. You thought your spies able to pierce our lines? Foolish.â
He pauses, exhaling.
âIt matters little. Soon, Iâll be granted the insight that the wilds intended for me to have. Then you and your Horde will be a footnote in history. I will it.â
He stuffs the gem back into the pouch, looking down upon the crippled elf besides him, sighing at the sight.
The scholarly blood elf Khelerya Eleneth, currently in the employment of the Red Venturers, has passed The Great Almanac, edition number 6336 to Utoobu Prepfoot, Highmountain Pilgrim, for safe-keeping while the rest of the Venturers journey to the Hinterlands, and safe is exactly where he intends to keep it.
Yet the young tauren isnât made of sterner things like the other Venturers - he is, after all, a simple pilgrim of the Prepfoot, and within his stomach a mighty knot made of dread begins to twist. Though he refuses to read any of the reportedly horrifying contents, the weight of the pages on his mind is enough to have him wishing his friends return soon.
A cosmic crownâŚ
âŚFor the cosmic King
High Cultist Bren Ironburner of the Black Order has been slain by the Razor Hill Raiders. After a great battle at the Crucible of Carnage in the Twilight Highlands, the Raiders managed to get the upper hand after destroying Brenâs herald, and in the end the cultist himself. He sacrificed himself to try and destroy the Raiders, but ultimately failed. He was not awarded a piece of the crown by the executioner Trailoff and therefor the relics are still in the hands of the cult.
(On behalf of Saronite Slug)
As Adaelithe Tidefall and The Black Empire Agent, Saronite Slug departed from their objective, heâd suddenly stop in his tracks. He fell onto his knees, a shiver running through his usually numbed body. His Master had been defeated in battle. For a moment his thoughts were absent, being unable to process his next steps - he wasnât used to this. However Bren Ironburner always planned ahead - especially for an event such as this. Mental coding he wasnât aware of kicked in. He followed the whispers of Bren. âSlug⌠I have failed and the cretins have destroyed my physical body⌠I have not been vanquished, you, my greatest creation and most favoured agent, have ensured my life will be eternal⌠You will continue to aid the Executioner⌠but also act as my voice, my eyes, my ears and my hands⌠what you do, I will as well⌠My eyes are upon you until I return to the physical world⌠All my assets are now yours, my research and artifacts too⌠grow strong, await my return. Masterâs will, glory to Nâzoth.â. He now acted as his senses while he recovered and grew more powerful than before. He wouldnât fail him.
As the scheming tendrils of a shadowy god are seemingly forever severed from Azerothâs mundane realm, the Crimson Eyes become restless: The reptilian eye encased within each of the bloodstones is now clearly visible and ever turning, looking from left to right, up and down⌠never content with what it sees. The Crimson Eyes now leer at the world around them with true sight, their silent gaze pierces through every pocket, strongbox, treasure chest and vault.
The Sanguine Domination has changed hands, being taken from the Faceless One and given to the Saronite Slug by the Executor, the cultist having already sacrificed a captured Church member to feed its eldritch powers.
Researching into their piece of the Almanac had gone well. Theyâd found something out that seemed promising, and lead them eventually to the elven ruins tucked away in the Hinterlands; surrounding the awe-inspiring and gargantuan tree within Seredane. A body was found; a disturbing torture was evident. A torment afflicted to both body and soul.
Near it, a mace. Still thrumming with holy power, marked with the message âSelama ashalâAranalâalahâ⌠it was retrieved and kept by Sylvare Sunstrike, who was not quite so superstitious about taking from the tortured dead as some of his comrades.Meanwhile, the Almanac piece had been transferred to Utoobu of the Prepfoot for safekeeping. The scholar trusted with it prior, Khelerya, had seemed reluctant to part with it⌠but was eventually convinced after what seemed a long and pointed staring contest with everyone else. Sadly, the members of the Red Venturers had not known Khelerya for very long at all⌠otherwise they might have noticed that she didnât seem quite herself. Quite right.
Agonal has received a cloth wrapped parcel from Gravebloom with a set of simple orders - to keep it secret and safe⌠at least for now.
After a quick of exchange of hands she stores the object away on her person without so much as looking at what exactly she is safeguarding.
As far as sheâs concerned, itâs probably better she didnât know.
Currently, she has no idea she holds onto the left Crown piece.
A word with the Baron turns quickly into a scuffle as Vezna refuses to relinquish the stone, whether by her own choice, or that of the artifact itself.
As such, Koiffen takes custody of The Stygian Hunger.
Outside the Angoârosh overlook, the knight stood guard, crimson eyes fixated on the bridge separating the floating isles from Zangarmash.
Not too far, his allies were at workâŚMindsong the Banshee making preparations for her Shadow Ritual.
He peered at the cursed blood gem known as the Stygian Hunger, passed onto him by Serpent Koiffen not long before his guard started.
As he tapped into a faint of the reddish, black colored gem powers , the Sanâlayn was filled with the peculiar sensation of rising high up into the air whilst at the same time plummeting down towards a depth.
His whole being pulsated, vibrating with energy he was already master of : Blood magic.
His expression turned into one of disdain, divine yet cruelâŚhis gaze distant as usual, alien to whatever could have passed on the bridge below his position.
Inside him, he could feel his awareness multiplied tenfolds, the ichor flowing into his corpse burning and calling for bloodâŚhe knew what it was, the Hunger.
Xotrios Drakâash chuckled, stifled and flat, his ghostly voice leaving a short echo behind: âWhat better promise of a glorious fateâŚthan this gem protected by one like meâ.
And with this, Xotrios is tasked with custody of the Stygian Hunger.
Enoch leaves one of the Crimson Eyes by the moonwell in Cenarion Refuge, Zangarmarsh with the intent of passing it unto the Dirge of Teldrassil.
Ayleris Greenshadow now holds the Crimson Eye that was in Enochâs possession. It rests in a pouch in her bag, un-investigated and barely of interest to the Illidari with itâs apparently minor powers. For nowâŚ
