                              Ode to Chyou'ka

O’er the land a menace loomed, and all beneath its shade were doomed.
For deep within the floating tomb, amidst the chambers filled with gloom.
Stood a Shadow wreathed in hate, who bore the world a twisted fate;
To drown the land in blackest pitch, where not a soul could breathe or twitch.
To rend the world and cast it down, and grant himself a bloodied crown.

But there came a hero, born in a Valley far,
A champion of dawn, soul bright as any star.
Who would not let this evil, taint the world she knew,
A paragon of justice, twice noble; ever true.

With the Ronin at her back, steeped in midnight’s veil,
Lifted by our hopes and dreams, our hero could prevail.
So the battle started, where life and death collided,
The fate of all who fought, was soon to be decided.

Through the haze she rose, to meet the Shadow’s wrath,
And through the dark she carved, a brilliant vivid path.
Chyou-ka’s shining blade, struck the monster so.
And in his growing fury, he made a vicious blow.

The Shadow’s blade thus pierced her, and torment gripped her heart.
A thousand years of torment, not three seconds apart.
Brave efforts then had won the day, but bore a tragic cost,
And all who watched the Mentor fall, had surely though her lost.

But Chyou-ka would not stop, when death came to collect,
For still she had a duty, her people to protect.
And though the darkness grew in her, made good to end her life,
The Mentor would not bow, before the master’s scythe.

And to this day she wanders, to death she will not go.
O Chyou-ka, valiant hero. We sing your praises so.

Dang. . .the Ronin have been having an absolute blast at the Gloomspire Island campaign! The finale should be soon, and we’ll once more grace the wider realm with our wisdom.
It’s been great getting to know the new members in the fire of combat and in the midst of a mutual struggle!

In a humorous twist of fate, the Ronin’s many dealings with hozen may well have paid off now that they find a simian friend volunteering his skills to the black silks.

May Chef Ong Ong prove to be a great companion going forward, especially as the Pandaren prepare to venture out to the harsh wastes of Vol’dun to hunt down a thief in possession of a royal Zandalari jewel! Any effort to build bridges with their historic enemy-turned-neighbour is one that must be taken.

Whenever I see or interact with these guys I am highly tempted to make a Pandaren.

Somewhere amidst the pages of Mei-Wan’s journal, the lyrics to a song take shape. Many before them have been scored out and undone, condemned to silence and never to be sung. Those that remain - at least for now - are unblemished.

                                     Three Silks

Across the land they’re known, Three Silks we name them true,
Two are taken from the dead, and one whose death is due.
But do not think it soon, when that scythe should fall,
Their future is their own, to fate they are no thrall.

For bonds of steel were broken, forged anew with heart,
Tempered by a promise, that none shall make them part.
So through the skies they soar, and on the wind they ride,
Appearing where they’re needed, to turn a battle’s tide.

The will of Gods and demons, deftly tossed aside,
And not a step is broken, throughout their graceful stride.
Never one to spare a thought, for ultimatums cried,
As water bends around a rock, all foreign wills denied.

With the crack of thunder, comes a storm of blades,
Emerging from the shadows, they strike as subtle shades.
Bound by silk and blood, two souls who strike as one.
Like blossoms to a flame, their foes are thus undone.

And so they walk the line, between the dark and light,
Hyarin and Li, twin agents of night.
Dark Divine and Hunter, their spirit black and white,
Fighting for Pandaria, fighting for what’s right.

Extremely good variety of things. Sometimes we’re clashing against the forces of evil, other times we’re hunting for mythical bananas or mourning over a fallen comrade. Never a dull day!

                                 Light of the Heavens

Upon the shell of Shen-zin Su, where the blossoms fall,
Stood a traveller’s daughter, who heard a distant call;
A plea for help and mercy, that rung across the ocean,
And so she made her way, bound by true devotion.

The Priestess journeyed far, to lands she did not know,
And to exotic faces, great kindness she did show.
Then upon Pandaria, a curse had gripped the land,
The hearts of many innocents, endured its evil brand.

A god with heads of seven, condemned these people so,
Fear and doubt and violence, rose up from down below.
As harbinger of hope, she soothed away their pain,
And from its wicked vices, Yan-Yan did abstain.

The cursed breath of dying Gods, was cast off to the wind,
Through her humble duty, the dread malaise was thinned.
For her deeds she asks no thanks, no payment does she ask,
For Yan-Yan is a noble soul, true to her sacred task.

Last night the black silks made a trip below the waves aided by crackpot Pandaren ingenuity to seek out sunken vessels from the fourth war, scavenging up unused elixirs and supplies that can be put to good use once again!

Despite perilous undercurrents and skeletal sailors proving formidable obstacles, the Pandaren (and trusty Hozen companion) were able to achieve their goal and return to dry land with valuable goods.

In the coming days, the quest for the golden banana will surely continue! If you’re interested in having a Pandaren take part in some righteous adventures, consider contacting us today!

Within the lightning-wracked cliffs of Stormheim, the dark efforts of the kvaldir were disrupted by the combined might of the Ronin and the Red Ventures. After travelling to the Broken Isles upon hearing reports of graves being robbed by the unliving vrykul, the brave warriors discovered that it was bones, not possessions, that were being stolen to fuel a dark ritual. The kvaldir’ plan was nearly completely, all that remained was to spill a mere few drops of blood. In an effort to rob the kvaldir of whatever they hoped to achieve, the adventurers reasoned that they would activate the ritual so they may seize the results for themselves. Unfortunately, this turned out to be a monster created from the bones of the fallen created as some form of “test of might” intended for the kvaldir! But thanks to the skills of the pandaren and the mercenaries, the abomination was destroyed. With the test complete, they were rewarded as if they themselves were the kvaldir, denying the brutes of their boon and taking for themselves gold and a very mysterious message…

Ronin really do be striking that balance between native traditional pandaren and adventure-seeking wanderers. It’s great getting to bring your race’s culture wherever you go.

Following reports of goblin misbehavior in Val’Sharah, the Ronin accompanied by a band of Mercenaries known as the Red Venturers headed for the druidic forests to investigate.

There, they learned of a Gallywix-employed workforce carrying out a plot to harvest nightmare corrupted saplings and wildlife to spread elsewhere in the world, so that they could charge a fortune from the people affected to dispose of it! This also came with its share of littering and landscape defiling, most dreadful in such a pristine region of the World.

Not ones to care for corrupted landscapes, the group set their sights on slaying the foreman of the operation and any goblin that dared protect him! After a battle versus the unpredictability of goblin technology, the group was eventually victorious, and any remaining goblins alive abandoned the mission with their source of income gone (Though thankful for being freed from such an oppressive manager!)

We’re always looking for more Pandaren to share in our adventures, whether it’s helping out in other regions of the world, collaborating with other guilds or turning our focus back to Pandaria to tend to matters there! [PCU] [H-Guild] Red Venturers: The Call to Redventure!

We’ve recently done a couple co-op events with these guys and I just seriously love the Ronin so much. Genuinely charming and interesting cast of characters here, and just always a pleasure to spend an RP evening with.

I love the Ronin, simple as. This guild has always been here, chilling in Orgrimmar every time I’m there. Interacting with members of the Ronin is always fun and unpredictable. A big smile spreads across my face whenever I see Ong-Ong, Chook, Cao, or Oddfell around, just to name a few. There are loads of funny Pandas and personalities to meet in this guild.

Along with the mercs of Red Venturers, a proud Tauren of the Aparoshe Stampede and honourable mag’har of the Chosen of Draenor, the Ronin took a strategic portal out to an Island in the great sea inhabited by Ogres!

The brutish goons had made their own faction, living on the salvage of passing ships they were wrecking via catapult! Though they let the sailors live and sail away on makeshift rafts, all goods and supplies were claimed by the Ogres.

After many interesting and bizarre encounters with the ogres, from the catapult operators, to the dull doorman, to the MIGHTY elder (who turned out to be not-so-mighty!), the Ronin and their Horde companions were able to convince the Ogres to cease their wicked ways with no further deaths.

A resounding success as the Horde swept in to recruit these Ogres with a knowledge of siege engineering!

More whacky adventures are on the horizon, and if you have a Pandaren you’re more than welcome to join in and come along!

What a great time in the Stonetalon campaign! You can’t beat knocking in Alliance heads with your Horde pals. And it was for a good cause too! Basically.
Now it’s time to relax and revisit the homeland to prepare for new ventures on the horizon.
