[PCU] Troll Military RP - Painted Shields 🛡

The cohort works like pack, and they never leave anyone behind. This day, the cohort went to aid their Shieldmon, Makkoa. An acolyte of Bwonsamdi. The Shieldmon… on his task to redeem his worthy in his Loa’s eyes, and remove a curse from his being.

Makkoa lead the Cohort to the edge of Nazmir, the home of the infamous Blood Trolls. The location of the Necropolis, Bwonsamdi’s palace. To seek out the worthy foes to prove himself worthy to his Loa.

Along the way, they managed to find a camp of Blood Troll scouts, the cohort immediately engaged them in battle , dispatching the scouts but not fast enough, as one of them managed to blow a horn & called reinforcements.

Moments after, the cohort was flooded with Blood Troll warriors, and sky divers! the cohort held their ground and fought together to endure these waves. Another alarm was set, this time, calling the scout’s War Mother herself.

Makkoa lead the cohort towards the alarmed War Mother, and her best warriors. This was the time, for Makkoa to prove his worth, and claim the War-Mother’s soul… for his Loa.

The War-Mother fought fiercely, but with the aid of the Seventh… Makkoa managed to get the finishing blow on the War-Mother, and claimed her soul. The fight was harsh, and lives almost lost, but the cohort saw it through to the end.

Finally, it was Makkoa’s time to face his Loa in the Necropolis. There, Bwonsamdi was eager to see his follower redeeming himself to be worthy, and in exchange, he gave Makkoa his blessing, his strength & his regeneration back, but keeping some of it as to “show his loyalty”.

Betrayal…

Is this what our Queen foresaw…? We repay our debt to them with our own blood, the countless deaths of our people… Only to be backstabbed in the broad daylight of the Valley.

It appears the warriors of the Horde cannot be trusted. They do not see us as a worthwhile ally, it seems. One of our own… beaten down in the street like a common criminal… surely an act of treason against the Golden Empire.

Incapable officers, unable to control their warriors… a lack of discipline, nothing more than common rabble. Inept at letting justice be done! No sleight goes unnoticed, no betrayal left unchecked. We Trolls do NOT forget.

Names… pledged to the Loa. A debt is due, a debt that will be paid in time. Written in vengeful words, sealed in a ritual of blood. The voodoo of our people roots deep into the burrows of the earth, spirits awoken. Angry, vengeful… They are watching.

The Saurfang Legion has betrayed us… We that gave our blood, our lives. They are WEAK. For millennia our people has ruled the lands, the first among many. They will bask in awe of our righteous fury.

The Loa see all, and they are displeased.

Ar’khala looked up from the dimly lit parchment staring at his now regenerating slash mark across his palm. Placing the quill down, he walks over to the doorway and out onto his balcony, peering out over the city of Dazar’alor. He sighs as he casts his vigilant gaze over the city. His eyes ablaze with the relentless fury of Kimbul, he grips tightly the banister, replaying tonight’s events in his head, over and over. His facial expression growing more agitated with each passing thought. He releases a deep growl before snapping out of it at the sound of the wooden banister buckling under his grip.

The Seventh Rastari Cohort are now currently stationed in the Zocalo in Dazar’alor!

The empire had given the seventh rastari cohort a task to investigate a camp far in the Barrens. The Horde presence there had gone dark and failed to report back to Orgrimmar for far too long.

They arrived at the camp, but the outside had no grunts keeping a lookout and were greeted by a lone sergeant. The sergeant seemed tense and in a hurry, but as talanjite Ar’khala insisted on beginning an inspection of the camp, the sergeant reluctantly agreed.

The camp was almost deserted and when the sergeant was questioned about the lack of grunts present, he explained that many of them were on scouting duties. Other strange discoveries were made such as an extremely low amount of supplies but the barracks had a lot of armour and weapons that were unattended.

Suspicions began to raise among the cohort and Ar’khala made the call. The sergeant was subdued by Za’nami and Zuvujh’jin while the rest of the cohort investigated the watch tower, which the sergeant insisted was off-limits. They were later surprised by Forsaken loyalists who sprang to action and attacked the Painted Shields!

Soon, the camp would be overrun with the Banshee Queen’s loyalists and the Painted Shields had to fight their way out of this mess! Shortly after they reclaimed the camp, a Forsaken ship was spotted leaving the shores of the Barrens and into the Great Sea, undoubtedly taking a lot of the camp’s supplies with it.

The Tidedasher. A merchant ship that sailed into Zandalar with riches from far away lands, its cargo possessed a fine example of the empire’s trade. When the Prophet Zul died, however, his disciples took a lot of Zandalari treasure and hauled it on to the Tidedasher before sailing away with it all.

It was lost in a storm but soon ran aground somewhere in Kalimdor and was later discovered by nonother than the Bloodsail Buccaneers, who took the ship and its riches for themselves.

The shadrasi searched endlessly for The Tidedasher and upon discovering it at a camp in Tanaris, the Painted Shields were first to know of this and were quickly sent to retrieve the merchant ship.

Just as they reached the camp, the seventh rastari cohort immediately went on the offensive as they stormed the gates and dispatched many of the fleet’s crew. They finally reached Captain Saltheart’s own vessel and demanded he must surrender the Tidedasher and its cargo its rightful owner but just like his crew, the pirate captain didn’t plan on giving it all up without a fight.

There is no time like the present to introduce your character to the Painted Shields.

We have been hanging out in Dazar’alor for a whole week now and it’s a great spot for casual RP on off-event days.

Get involved in the roleplay, meet the Painted Shields and find your place amongst the Zandalari and its finest cohort of trolls.

The Painted Shields, or the Cohort, are a brilliant concept of both Zandalari and Darkspear (and some minor tribes), uniting to achieve their goals in the world. With dinosaurs, the loas and seasoned warriors, these trolls show that they are ready to take on the world.

And reclaim it in the name of the Horde. All the while they explore the story of the trolls and their place in the world given the rise of their new queen, the loss of their fleet and their place in the Horde given the new peace.

I hope they can strike back a blow against the Alliance. After all, they know the pain of losing a beloved king.

During the night, Mogu forces had unleashed a surprise attack on Tusk Isle, and the Isle of fangs. The cohort was sent to deal with the Mogu flesh-shapers on Tusk Isle Upon arrival to the island the Cohort were spotted almost immediately. And spent the entire mission struggling to push themselves forward, and the Mogu backwards.

Around halfway through the mission the Mogu played their hand, and revealed their dark magic on full display. Raising clumps of ooze, and a swarm of re-shaped, and morphed Zandalari from pools of red and gold ooze across the hill to fight the Cohort for them.

Once the flesh-made abominations had been dispatched, the Cohort made their way to the Archritualist, who raised forth two more morphed Zandalari. After a long fight, the Ritualist and his creations were dispatched, and the mission was finished

Just ran into these guys in Dazar’alor and after building up some guts/finding a logical reason (I thought it was) to approach them… well, I did!.

From what I can tell : these guys are ridiculously friendly and welcoming.
I expected to get one and a half sentence of reply before being send on my way but I was pleasantly surprised… even if the whole discussion got very political (I do apologise for that but Fakun, you’re simply wrong :stuck_out_tongue: )

To conclude: I only met a few but they seem like awesome people who I managed to dip my toes into Troll RP with for the first time!
