Another victory for the Seventh Rastari Cohort!

Shieldmon Makkoa, follower of Bwonsamdi, had just received a new blade by the craft of Prelate. He wished to bless the weapon, but needed a sizable offering in order to gain his Loaā€™s blessings.

To this end, Makkoa heard of a Zandalari living in Zuldazar who was evading their own death using foul blood magic. Such heresy was starting to infuriate the Loa of Graves, and so Makkoa set out to obtain the criminals head and use it as a bargaining chip for his bladeā€™s blessing.

Meeting up with the Cohort, Makkoa set out down the north road, hoping to find some clues as to where the heretic may be hiding. Along the road, the Cohort happened upon the corpse of a Direhorn pack beast. The scene was bloody and brutal, yet there were no signs of any Zandalari bodies near the beasts carcass. Only a small handful of the supplies were missing, suggesting whoever took them could only carry a few at a time.

Following a trail of blood from the scene into the undergrowth, the Cohort managed to find the heretics hideout. They stood over two dead merchants, their bodies mutilated and disfigured. As the Cohort approached, the heretic raised the bodies into foul blood monsters, and channeled a great barrier of vile blood around their form.

Once the Cohort had dealt with the shambling monsters, the hereticsā€™ blood barrier faded, but they absorbed the blood from the surrounding corpses and turned themselves into a horrifying aberration, covered in a thick layer of pulsing and churning blood.

No matter how many times the Cohort would strike at the heretic, itā€™s body would just absorb every blow. As all seemed to be lost, the heretic stumbled into the flames of a nearby torch, singing and burning away at itā€™s bloodied flesh. The Cohort used this to their advantage, striking the heretic with smoldering embers and flaming arrows. The heretic soon found themselves overwhelmed, and without the protection of their blood magic, Makkoa swiftly seized the head of the foul blood cultist!

The Cohort returned to the city, where Makkoa would bless his blade using the power of the severed head inside the Barrow of Bwonsamdi.

With a first for vengeanceā€¦ and booty, the Bloodsail Buccaneers wanted to strike back at the Zandalari after the Painted Shields attacked their camp in Tanaris to retrieve their stolen merchant ship.

They stormed Zandalarā€™s coast and took over a small vessel that was carrying Nightborne and Zandalari trade goods and the vesselā€™s crew retreated to the nearby shalā€™dorei excavation site and released a distress call.

The seventh rastari cohort were the first to respond and stormed the beach. The pirates dropped the loot they had took from the vessel and its dead guards to fight the Painted Shields. During the chaos, their leader, First Mate Izzek released a signal flare to call in reinforcements, but the pirates crashed against the cohortā€™s shields like waves crashing against rock.

Eventually, the pirates were overwhelmed by the Painted Shields and the first mate was brought to a deep, watery grave. To make the situation worse for the Bloodsail Buccaneers, the flare he had shot earlier caught the attention of the Painted Shieldā€™s very own - The Loaā€™s Reprisal - chasing the nearby pirate ship out of Zandalarā€™s water.

Months after the war had ended, wounds in Zandalar were yet to heal and the empire would still require time to regain its strength, but it would take a lot more than more soldiers and new ships. The Zandalari had to be kept supplied with food and other essentials for their wellbeing and survival.

For the past week, caravans carrying cargo that was vital to keeping their civilization afloat from the inside never show up. One evening it was time for another delivery to be made but this time, Tetrarch Kezuga ordered Talanjite Arā€™khala to lead the Painted Shields to rendezvous with the caravan and escort it to the Golden City.

They journeyed through the jungle to find the caravan but they arrived too late. A wreckage of a caravan that was raided, looted and pillaged spread around the jungle and the seventh rastari cohort quickly sprung into an investigation. A trail of the wreckage lead them deeper into the jungle.

They eventually found supplies stockpiled underneath canopy, hidden from the naked eye until now. Out from the nearby bushes, a couple of farraki trolls arrived and to their surprise, were face-to-face with the Painted Shields! One of the sand trolls made a run for it while the other was apprehended. He was questioned, beaten and bent until he gave up where the rest of the supplies were, their own turf - Talā€™farrak.

The other Farraki troll gave his kin the heads up and so, the seventh rastari cohort were welcomed by a line of sand trolls who were expecting their arrival, ready to defend what they claimed as theirs.

The Painted Shields fought their way through a number of desperate sand trolls defending their loot but they fell before the mighty Zandalari. The supplies in Talā€™Farrak were found and after reporting back to Kezuga, he sent out the shadrasi to find the dead Zandalari and planned to speak with many of the tribeā€™s speakers to see how deep this organisation dug itself at the very steps of Zandalar.

And as always, you can contact myself, YujĆ” or Azkahlo via whispers as well.

The Seventh Rastari march into Zangarmarsh, the thrumming resonance of footsteps marching in unison, the golems of Zandalar, clad in their gold-plated armour, Their red plumage dancing in the rain. Onward, they marchā€¦ faces of ferocity, spines towering upright, fearless.

The Zandali mothertongue echoes through the mire, commands bellowed out, the clattering of metal as the determined sons & daughters of the great, golden Empire march ever forward, into the swamp, into the darkness once more.

Days pass, the battles hard fought, the Seventh fight onā€¦ for our Queen! for Zandalar!

Huh! That Asmongold stream has made a lot of twists and turns, with a satisfying ending and a bit of exposure for the PCU :money_mouth_face:

But with that subject put to a dramatic end, Iā€™d like to give you all an update on where in the world is the Painted Shields at? Well the real question is: which world are we at?

The seventh rastari cohort, along with the Saurfang Legion, have embarked on a campaign all the way to Zangarmarsh. In one week, we have dealt with plenty of obstacles: Naga, leper gnomes, gnomes, Alliance and even Sylvanas loyalists. And if the residents arenā€™t causing trouble for you, you can bet the place itself can prove quite hazordous when you least expect it.

Along the way, new heroes have risen in our guild and a campaign is no better way to see these new characters in our guild blossom into mighty soldiers of the Zandalari Empire.

Of course, we will be recruiting even after the campaign and we hope to see some new faces, just as eager to join as we are to welcome you - Zandalar forever!

Tonight the Seventh Rastari cohort enjoy the home comforts in Dazarā€™alor, not before a promotion ceremony however!

This evening the War-God Satrap no Whrugi IV has decreed that Darooka, Zalrakhan & Izuā€™miah has proved their worth and as such will receive their ceremonial shields to paint, a tradition and rite of passage amongst the Seventh Rastari cohort.

Furthermore, the fearsome Scalpa Man-Eater has been bestowed with the honourary title of ā€œBloodiedā€ after his exemplary feats in battle and unwavering duty to the Golden Empire.

Such is customary, the Seventh Rastari will travel to the ā€œHot Houseā€ in the Zocalo for a few celebratory Mojoā€™itoā€™.

As always we are on the look out for keen and invested Troll RPers that wish to fulfill a more in-depth character story! Come and find us IC!

Di chuka Zandalar!

For years Mulgore had been the important source of water for Hordeā€™s capital city but with the aftermath of the Fourth War still taking its toll, the supply runs have been thinly spread. In an attempt to secure water elsewhere, the Horde marked an oasis in the Northern Barrens.

But this oasis belonged to the murderour centaur and not even Orgrimmar had the spare amount of warriors to delve into their territory. But the Painted Shields are not like most warriors, the seventh rastari cohort was the greatest set of warriors Zandalar had ever seen!

They accepted this task and made their way to the oasis and met heavy resistance by the relentless centaur. Spears, arrows, the very elements were at their enemyā€™s disposal but the Painted Shields persevered and were successful in claiming water from the oasis and giving Orgrimmar the all clear to collect more.

There is been recently a many disrupts withing the water-supply lines between the Barrens and Orgrimmar. And as the recent wars have taken its toll, Cohort were ordered to fix this problem, by securing a Oasis from Centaurs, so workers could take clean drinkable water from there.

Few days ago Cohort managed to secure this oasis for Hordeā€™s needs. But not many days later, water cargos stopped from coming once again, and the scouts are telling that local Quillboars were behind it this time.

Cohort had to move at once, to make sure the city would have enough water for upcoming days. They moved to Barrens and shortly after arriving there, they managed to found the Quillboar camps, celebrating and enjoying the stolen water they got.

After a few dispatched camps of Quillboars, cohort only found the cargos empty of water, but once they got to the third camp, they faced up with the Quillboars Waterbringer, and last remaining water supplies from recent caravan!

Waterbringer and his warriors fought well, but they quickly faltered before cohort, and they secured the last remaining waters! They took them with them back to Orgrimmar, and made sure there were no Quillboars left to steal it again.
