Doing fresh Classic was a mistake, we had five years of private server hype from 2014-19 then Blizzards somewhat butchered version from 2019-2021 + ERA revival last year.
People have done it, the levelling is too slow, any class you want to play people already have 60s parked on Firemaw cluster of ERA.
SoD was a bit of a fail as well. Just do Classic +, salvage SoD if you must or roll it out on ERA - why bother with Fresh ? Noone is coming back for this, no one is hyped for it.
Well, some will. Also re-release is much cheaper then develop some kimd of new content. Then why bother. Basically all blizzard games are maintenance mode (no new features, cycling through old content)
Fresh will attract big streamers and their fans, also will attract kids that always want fresh cause they want to be âahead of the curveâ (obviously failing to do that day1, as usual), also bots - alot of bots and âhuman botsâ because 9$ per day is solid sallary in rusia.

But. Watch incoming fresh drama here and on reddit and have your fun.

Even if we imagine itâs true, in a year time people will come back for TBC which we currently canât play.
Literally everyone is hyped OP is projecting unfortunately, discords all ready have thousand of members and we dont know servers name yet.
Itâs weird, for a long time, especially Cataclysm Classic has been around i have seen post after post here in the forums of people asking for a fresh, also since the anniversary event and Blizzard not announcing Classic+ people started to lose their sh** even when Blizzard stated on twitter that something is coming soon.
Now I start seeing posts that nobody is hyped for fresh Classic when itâs not only Vanilla but also Burning Crusade⊠i tell you some people in the WoW community are never happy and can be weird at times.
I mean its a given that some people will quit after a week.
But fresh have 3 things going for it.
Era players will start GDKPing dungeon runs soon, looking at you Firemaw cluster.

Yeah, problem is many want to know where theyâre going. With Blizzâs vague words, and HC servers not progressing to TBC, my guess is that manyâll stay Era / old HC because better the devil you kow ⊠and if Blizz spills the beans we can always go there later for TBC.
My guess is that servers will be full for reserving of names on launch, alive for weeeks to come, but not much. Then streamers and so on will leave, and Anniversary servers will be - if not ghost towns, then very quiet places until launch of TBC.
as long as they allow us to clone our characters to a TBC Era and/or WotLK Era while continuing to progress Iâm 100% on board, I want to experience te re-release of every expansion (before Legion) once again, while having the option to go back to my favorite expansions (Vanilla/TBC/WotLK)
1âŠFresh economy will last 5 mins because Blizzard letâs bots out of control and it will surely have a thousand layers, as with SoD
2. GDKP is good for casual players, for those who are not employed etc then they can really put crazy hours into video games making massive progress in a short time. If you have job/kids/family you cannot do this even if you play 5 hours a day it is not enough to âkeep upâ. Especially with point 1 the economy ends up destroyed by bots. GDKP is not bad on its own it keeps content relevant for those who play all day and rush while allowing casuals to get gear and experience content. It does not ruin economy either, it doesnât generate new gold. It is number 1 which does that. Look how sod died when they banned GDKP, people gate kept content and your average casual player just went âlol cyaâ and went and played something else

SoD had 500k players at start, now 80k (last news i read)
so even if the half of the 500k who left early SoD come back for fresh, it gonna be more than SoD (if they come back

mostly PvP players gonna come back for WPvP and then TBC Arena/BGs
