That pretty much has to be what the annoucement of Diablo Immortal was about.
A press release to their investors “We are planning to make so much money in China.”, however annoucing it at their own event which has allways been PC focused, may have caused a stock fall due to investors going “Are these guys tone deaf or actually idiots?”
An absolute genius move if you ask me, announcing it lead to the yearly low so investors can buy low and sell high
To be honest what honestly baffles me is how you could present blizzcon the year before with wow classic as nothing more than a teaser, and this year you give us Warcraft 3.
WoW even gave us a full road map to 8.2 and Diablo Immortal was the only thing they had on show?
They couldnt have at least given us a “Diablo 4” and thats it.
It feels like you had two different teams, the Warcraft Reforged and WoW team showing us how to do presentations right, and Wyatt Chang, showing us how to complain about people not having phones.
Still, there wont be much value in the product and its being outsorced to China’s most notorious company for microtransactions, which, honestly, suggests the game isnt going to do well even in asia.
Would it be appropriate to make a bold negative statement about this madness? Yes? No? Bah I am doing it anyway.

Not only are games being neutered to satisfy the rather harsh Chinese censors, they are essentially making brands have less value because of it.
Ubisoft tried to do this with Rainbow Six, and the backlash halted it. And Diablo Immortal is an obvious cashgrab for the Chinese market.
Seriously. Screw this. And screw me not being able to post because of curse words. Just censor the words, don’t prevent me from commenting.

A morning peeve: the countless unused mount models.
You know, it really hurts to see that there are just so many amazing unused mounts already made and designed and we have no access to them. Worse, being a lifelong mount collector, for the first time I don’t feel motivated to get the newest ‘collect x mounts’ achievement as its reward is worse than bad, it’s an insult. The fel recolor of the Flametalon of Alysrazor. And you know what hurts? Well, if you look up the unused mount models, we have things like a mechanical parrot, absolutely stunning hovercrafts, Stormcrow, albatrosses, the mount version of Rukhmar, the new silithid models, the most stunning, Emerald Nightmare themed Dreamrunner and of course, the to-be implemented Bee mount, and compared to any of these I just feel such an apathy thinking of the latest reward.
I’m now at 359/400 mounts and there are dozens I could get with a bit of grinding, doing a few achievements and getting some alts, but I just don’t care. I don’t want your bloody chicken, Bluzzard. Give me something I can flex with.

The Hidden Master in Pandaria sounds like he has a perpetual cold, and his nose is clogged.
There is not enough depth in a lot of the lore. Sure, we know the Hidden Master is a powerful monk, but how did he earn his title? He also seems kind of young, maybe he’s not the first hidden master? Maybe he was the best of the former’s students, and the old one has passed away.
Also, the Acherus Deatchcharger is in need of an updated model.
They’re releasing more glyphs for water Elementals next patch, but they should be doing the same for locks and other things with pets. The more variety, the better.
Also, new glyph prices are always crud due to the mats.

That there are still no allied races for DKs. Or any customization to make up for it.
