Why is this a bad thing? Is it not better than suddenly being surprised when said character does some epic powerful thing?
It kind of tells people what to expect and those who do not enjoy powerful characters can avoid interacting.

Why is it a bad thing? Reading it out right is boring, and it typically means the person is a meat head who’ll always “nuh uhhh, I’m stronger than you!” his way out of a fight. And will deny any character stronger than their own.
If you have to tell other people in your TRP how strong your character is, something is very wrong.
Not even I did that, way back in my supervillain RP days. I RPed a grotesquely overpowered character, but I saw no need to write in people’s faces ‘POWERFUL’. It’s all about impressions.

Peeve: it’s hot and cloudy. Not my favorite combination. If it was hot and sunny, I could at least go sunbathe.
