Pet Peeve: The Undying

I got the sub its akin to spotify premium.
Add free for mobile and being able to play music from it with the screen on lock is neat.

ah dun wan eht

This kinda ruins the purpose of grinding rares for recipes.

And I’m not denying the advantages…

I just don’t want it. And considering how many times I refused they’d think that the algorithm (or really whatever sends me those suggestions) should just quit by now.

Tried to find if it was some feature I could disable but couldn’t find anything.

After playing it for a few days now, my pet peeve is that Nazjatar is a really boring, dull zone. Both visually and in terms of content. It has the odd cool bit, like the naga architecture, but that should’ve been the focus. Zin-Azshari is also a total joke.

Man this expansion sucks.

Its purely aimed at and designed mobile users.

I quite like mechagon. What I don’t like is that they haven’t even locked the dungeon(And eternal palace tbh) behind any quest chain unlock or rep etc, but just -actually- completly sealed it off until they think enough time has passed.

There is only so much you can do on Mechagon until you like to check inside the dungeon too while waiting for the arbitrary time-limit on the next quest to be available.

Also peeve: Whoever designed the jellyfish wq deserves to get fired. It’s one of the worst quests I’ve seen in a game. Then atop of that its also completly broken with the hitboxes not even being correct and sometimes just doesnt function properly at all.

We totally agree on the Nazjatar content being underwhelming, but visually? I am absolutely adoring the zone’s aesthetic identity. The colour palette alone is a welcome treat imo.

having tried it again in a calmer mood and while not sick I’m less down on the jellyfish quest than i was the first time i tried it, it’s actually fairly generous with the hitboxes and the knack is to use mouselook to point yourself at the next jellyfish after hitting the low point of your bounce

it’s not a good quest by any means but it’s not as bad as i initially felt it was

I still feel that the hitboxes are really wonky. Sometimes, its smooth as butter. Other times, when I am mouse-looking I see myself landing like a couple of meters(ingame) off the jellyfish, only to bounce up, only to then land straight in the middle of another and just fall through it.

There are some cool parts of it, sure, like the Coral Forest. But a lot of the rest of it just feels like caves and rocks which is pretty dull to me. I was hoping we’d get to see something akin to a naga city and a better example of the ruins of one of the greatest cities of Azeroth. Instead it’s mostly just wilderness and recycled Azsuna buildings.

It’s subjective, though, for sure.

Alot of the terrain honestly looks like antoran wastes 2.0, now with some blue instead of green.

I think Vashj’ir got the aesthetic down far better. Add to that that Nazjatar feels very small compared to a place like the Shimmering Expanse: https://wow.zamimg.com/uploads/screenshots/normal/783597-vashjir.jpg

I wish they’d solved the problems Vashj’ir presented of some classes being a lot less fun to play in swimming world rather than just never doing that again.

I think the problems with Vashj’ir go a bit deeper than just how classes play. One of my friends hates the zone because it triggers his phobia of being deep underwater.

Honestly, Vashj’ir should’ve been the base for Nazjatar and night elves should’ve played a main role for the Alliance, not Jaina.

The heck is a human doing in a zone intended for elves, worse is her explaining stuff about Nazjatar, since when does she know so much about the ancient night elven capital?

Atleast the Horde got King Lor’themar Theron and First Arcanist Thalyssra playing a major role. :man_shrugging:

Ding anybody that though Vashj’ir was crap, btw, it was one of the, if not the, best zones in Cataclysm.

His problem, not ours, tbqf.

Sure, agree with that. In Cataclysm it wasn’t an issue because he could go to Hyjal as an alternative. Can’t do that if Nazjatar was underwater.

Not saying that underwater content should be banned, just giving another reason why Blizzard might have been reluctant to do that again. I know it wasn’t an isolated case. I myself really enjoyed the zone for a number of reasons but can appreciate why others might not have.

It also can cause people to have issues with motion sickness because of the water effects. I had to disable quite some stuff to be able to at least somewhat comfortably do the cata loremaster.
During Cata the zone also was far less popular in comparison to Hyjal.

Overall I feel like the odd one out… Mechagon has a fun concept and good music but is terrible boring to me.
