We’ll become stuck in an endless loop where blizzard keeps releasing vanilla + all expansions again and again after they’ve reached BfA instead of making new content.

I know what it is like to lose (hope). To feel so desperately that you’re right, yet to fail, nonetheless. It’s frightening, turns the legs to jelly. I ask you to what end? Dread it. Run from it. Bad expansions still arrive all the same. And now they are here. Or should I say, BFA is.

Garothi is entirely from WQ rewards it looks like, so it’s gonna be a matter of checking argus 1/day to see if any of the WQs give a piece you need and slowly building it up off that.
Honestly game publishers and Hollywood are so out of new ideas + the fact that banking on nostalgia is profitable and low risk is why we’ll be stuck in this stagnating state.
Damned be innovation! Leave that to the smucks who need to be crowd funded to accomplish anything.

We survived legion, we can survive BFA.
Fundamentally true as it actively turns an industry away from vibrancy and innovation to safe, sustainable intergenerational profitability with entire franchises recreated within the gap of a few decades. Bold new ideas and independent creation falls aside with no chance of prominence but for the pet projects of big name directors.
Big franchise mcmovies in the vein of the superhero conveyor belt also makes sure people show up to see the character, not the actor, thus keeping the artistry from refinement as the actor can be replaced on a whim but the character is eternal.
Add that moviemaking purely by profit restrains ideas and that the death of cinema in favour of on demand streaming drives the art futher down the pit of commodification. Only fundamental change to incentives can reverse this.
