Pet Peeve: The Undying

And that’s the biggest issue. It tried too hard to be both an MMO and a single player game sequel to KOTOR 2 that it failed spectacularly at both. By the time the Eternal Empire DLCs came out, the damage was already done.

I wish TOR had been a good game. You know I would have RPed the frick out of an Old Republic Star Wars setting. But TOR flopped and it’s really disheartening.

At least TES has enough similar metaphysical themes to explore those topics in RP in ESO

I’m telling you if they announced KOTOR 3 today that game would sell more than the upcoming Fallen Order game.

On the bright side Chris Avellone, the lead writer behind KOTOR 2 is working on Fallen Order. Perhaps it’s a spiritual successor.

I just want it to be a good length, with a good story. Don’t give me another Force Unleashed!

Trust in Chris Avellone

(He also wrote Fallout: New Vegas)

I quite liked New Vegas. I should replay it sometime, since it’s been years since I last indulged.

Never played it. Fallout is a little convoluted and a lot crazy, at least to me.

I tried getting into Fallout, I really did.

I just prefer Elder Scrolls.

Same.

I never played New Vegas but from what I hear it’s a very good game. And Chris Avellone wrote it.

I still prefer TES though. Hit me with that Visiting Breton lore.

For reference, in ESO there’s the Omen of Betrayal, a Daedric being that enters people’s dreams and compels them to commit acts of betrayal. It’s known by the Argonians as the Egg Terror, the Grey Dream to the Altmer — and the Visiting Breton to the Orcs lmao

I want to play ESO but would need to get it again for PC then suffer the download. Ew.

I’ve heard nothing but good things about New Vegas too.

Just couldn’t get into it.

i think my account got deleted for ESO

I’d definitely recommend ESO if only for the story and the lore. It got a bad rap at launch but unlike SWTOR they went “you know what you’re right” and got their act together.

Now it contributes some of the best TES lore to the setting.

Time for bed, the cat is nipping my ankles. He wants his chair.

Good night cat

Night!

(I swear to god, I have 100s of pictures of him in my chair.)

I can’t sleep. Pain!
Got to be up for the doctors in four hours. Might just ride it out.
Is their etiquette for requesting a sick note?

Agony?
Your hatred burns through the cavernous deeps?

As for etiquette, not really? Not sure how it works there, but if it’s made clear that you’ve got work to go to in the morning, but you’re sick, he’ll write you a sick note to be delivered to your employee.

Having read stuff like this in Discords; Argent Dawn’s and from other games as well, it’s just painfully true.

It’s also a means of validation to some, as anyone with two semi functional brain cells and a bloated ego will quickly realize they can stack the odds on their side and so provide themselves with back-patting ad nauseam.

Took several tries before I found a guild I found comfortable in as well, one is likely to be out there even if the first 3-4 are bust.

There will always be those that annoy you more or less in a community of course, but I’ll stick to this one as humanly possible if I can.

I tried playing it a few months ago and was having a good time. I think I stopped because it was super overwhelming as starting a new MMO often is.

Jumping into a WoW clone is easy because you kind of know what to do, into something like ESO is a different story though.

I’m sure I would enjoy playing it, just gotta get over that barrier.
