Pet Peeve: The Undying

I’m in pain and my appointment to see a doctor is Friday, so I have a full week of this.

Just met another Aussie whilst in the toilet. He kept telling me he was Australian until he heard me. His response was to back hand me, then kiss me. I missed real love.

The Australian way of expressing love…i thought your way was to swear and name call the other person, drink beer, have a laugh and resume swearing and name calling? :joy::joy:

And put things on the barbie. Like kangaroo legs?

I can’t write what he said. But it was the standard “Eeeeeeey! Ya cubt! You’re from f’ing Bribie?!”

It wasn’t. Edevane’s completely correct. Playing an Imperial Agent put you at the mercy of anyone who played a Sith character, some of whom tried to take the power dynamic of the Sith Empire in absolutely gross directions.

Power dynamics don’t work when there’s no way of ensuring that the person playing the character in the position of power is going to wield that power responsibly.

This is more or less why on Imperial side I ended up just roleplaying with friends. Even if you’re playing a Sith, someone will inevitably try to assert their character over yours and it inevitably devolves into powergaming or just ignoring the idiots.

The power dynamic works great… when both sides are OOCly agreed on it. It doesn’t have to be a spoken agreement, but y’know, the sense that both people are enjoying the drama. Some random Sith you’ve never heard of deciding to Force-slap your mundie character around for kicks is about as much fun as any random DK doing the same.

You’d think you’d get away from it on Republic side, but expecting people to roleplay Jedi with any kind of subtlety or restraint is often asking too much. Sometimes it’s too much to ask that they even know what planet they’re on…

I adored playing an Imperial Agent, was so much fun. I only roleplayed about three times though because the server I was on was rather dead (Progenitor, I think?). At least when I visited some of the supposed RP hubs.

My house on Nar Shaddaa was neat. Filled to brim with stuff. Casinos, guards (Republic and Imperial guards, forced to co-operate to maintain neutral ground.) all the while my agent had her intelligence center deep below the casino playrooms.

Before humans even existed.

Now that’s some time shenanigans!

‘‘Around 15,000 years ago, the vrykul of the Dragonflayer Clan believed that their gods had “abandoned” them, and a certain time after that, some of their children were born “weak and ugly.”’’

Weak and ugly children = Humans.

So yeah, they existed 13,000 years ago.

Level 90-99 skirmishes. I don’t know why, but that particular bracket seems to have more absolutely clueless players who break CC and just tunnel down their enemy without a concern for their teammate than any other.

Think I’m coming down with a cold. Nose is stuffy, minor headache, sniffles.

It’s not bad enough to get me off work so I can’t even enjoy some lazy sick days. What’s even the point.

Progenitor was the old RP server. It became Darth Malgus with all three servers combined.
Good old times.

The very problem of Sith RP. Reason I stopped.

Exactly. Due to this people don’t take DK/Sith RP seriously, in a sense.

SWTOR RP ain’t the best, sadly.

As a tropical man… This, does put a smile on my face .

Not your misfortune mind you! Or the others here who have similar symptoms.
But the fact that I have yet to present any of those so far… I’m still weak to the cold but more resistant to the diseases and minor inconviniences.

Neat.

Joker was really good.
Sad about our society tho

I wanted to do a Mass shooting… But then I remembered that I lived in a country with no guns after watching Joker.

Bummer, I guess I’ll have to give up and go about my daily life.

That is definitely not exclusive to that bracket :v

I’ve been doing some 60-69, 70-79 and 80-89 and I definitely didn’t see as many of these people as I do in 90-99.

People are very bad at targeting healers in 120 - ive had people try to polymorph me, even

Many players tend to have the mindset of “you have to cc the healer, going for them is a newb mistake and will never work”, from what I’ve noticed.
