WoW having forgettable to non-existent music for key encounters vs FF14 having proper thematic soundtracks that represent the situation you’re in much better.
Apparently the Lich King’s “music” was so forgettable (because it comes in 10 second sound-bites) that it represents the desperation of fighting death itself and not you know, Blizzard not knowing how to live up to the hype they built around one of their main mascots.
“I want to fight for my homeland but not actually do any fighting because it hurts my feelings. Also I impersonated my dead sister for years that definitely isn’t absolutely a sign of being a psycho, nope.”

The Ala Mhigo bit was not my favourite part of Stormblood, i got to admit.

Eeeeh. I want to like her but as soon as I noted she was a strong female lead and had a dad that was still alive, I knew what was going to go down.
I liked her dad more.
Also, fighting Zenos 1v1, screw that throughout Stormblood. Every time I had to spend 20 minutes fighting him just made me want to bash my brains out.
Then they did it with Ran’jit too.

In WarCraft, they don’t have cancer, they have corruption. It’s the biggest killer, it occurs randomly, sometimes helped along by outside influences, and even if you recover from it you’re always at risk of relapsing because the plot says so…

He and them had matching tattoos. That’s taking it a bit far.
And the way Rezan and Shadra died was so unceremonious. The spider deserved better. And I want the Loa of Kings back damn it! Bwonsamdi gets far too much screen time.
At least Zenos was somewhat fun to do, although the one post Ghimlyt Dark was ridiculous, especially with the roleplayed out parts with the gang. Playing Hien for 15 minutes was okay, if you don’t wipe on Zenos because have fun doing the introduction again.
Thancred vs Ran’jit was ridiculous. I know they were trying to make Ran’jit to be “The Dragon” of Shadowbringers (literally with some of his motiffs) but by the time we blunder back into Eulmore its just getting out of hand. I also don’t fathom why they gave him the Ascian battle music in the last one as well.
“hE weNt inSanE foR nO reAsoN.” Is the other excuse. I’ve learned to stop expecting anything but the most base and bottom-feeding writing and characterisation from Blizzard. You find the game to be much more enjoyable when you consider it a parody or comedy of itself.
