Pet peeves: The return (Part 1)

I am Karl Franz, they will obey!

So when an item drops, you can choose “Need”, “Greed”, or-

heheh

Any items of pink/green/blue quality can be turned into your grand company in exchange for seals. Higher level items give more seals, so like low level pink stuff will only be a couple hundred, max level stuff is usually closer to 1.5-2k seals.

Turn them into the personnel officer (next to the quartermaster who you buy stuff from), same as with the hand/land stuff. You may need to be a certain rank to do so, but you get it pretty early on iirc.

A lot of players, for whatever reason, seem to just pass on items constantly meaning that you can get a lot of seals from just greeding stuff that everyone else passes on. No idea why. It’s free money they’re throwing away.

/shrug

What the hell I’ve been just vendoring all that stuff

same. the economy is rigged with hidden rules to keep the poor people poor

While I’m at it make sure you level your GC squad that you get at higher ranks and then do Command missions with them.

Doing 10 of them gets you the squat+push up emotes, which are mandatory.

what political views have to do with game making skills and other qualifications

Question was aimed here

Just pull yourself up by your bootstraps like I have

Oh this is going to be fun

That’s what I’ve been doing with my poetics that i don’t need.

Just buy the highest ilevel belts that I can and turn them in for seals.

Not really. It is an honest question. Facists, racists and homophobes can go all the way to the Maw. Idk who that guy is anyway, was asking in general way

Walks into thread, sees DK question abt a topic™, walks out

Gonna try to give a short answer.

  1. Games and media in general are always political. Most things are because its more than just “I vote X”, it’s also a core of how you see the world, what things you think are important and so on.

  2. The guy in question isn’t also just someone who thought Trump was cool, he worked on the administration, and has a track record from there that is -very- negative. Even among the people of that administration he was/is considered “A bully” and has spotty record.

  3. The politics he worked actively with and very obviously hold dear to his heart are very much about de-humanizing groups of people and downright dangerous, as they as we saw, attempt terrorist coups when they dont get what they want.

I hope that covers it for you and why this is an awful move.

Yeah this is the real issue tbh - he’ll likely continue these sort of practices on the work floor at Acti-Blizz and he obviously got hired through the old boys’ network

Corporate execs are never going to be particularly nice and moral types so focusing on his bad morals™ is a weird approach people take on it imo

Among some of the fun things he is directly named among, he was part of the group of people that were accused of actively harassing, re-assigning or straight up bullying people into quitting their jobs at the State Department if they were considered a “Threat to the Trump Agenda”.

So we can expect similar things in the company, just towards employees. As in, employees who aren’t fully aboard with some practices will probably have an awful time.

Easter holiday starts today
no one at work wanted to get an after-work drink to celebrate even tho we’d talked about doing so
but at least I got 5 days off work

Better believe I be cookin lamb this weekend

Enjoy the holiday!

Was at work, but the question was answered better than I could have done!

Also, seeing the statement gushing about ‘leadership and problem solving’ skills from a military officer…
Clearly written by someone who has never worked in the military. COs are there to sign stuff, and accept responsibility for everyone else’s hard work (for good or ill). Some of them can be nice, I’ve worked with a few… but the majority are the cause of problems, when they stick their oar in. Not the solution :joy:
