I got it from an article that didn’t specify, but I would imagine yes, since you can’t buy ptde for a good while now and the playerbase it has is tiny compared ro the remaster.
I started watching a video.
Did not need the commentator to go through ALL of the stuff a certain known right wing streamer has done to earn him the title of king of filth, at least not right before I was about to start eating.
I need brain bleach.
I’M TRYING TO EAT, STOP THINKING ABOUT IT BRAIN! STOP MAKING ME HEAVE.
Bringing a
of nuance to this, since we’re outside the “What Race Do You Hate” Thread: Its difficult and very different, at least to me. Having said that I wasn’t ever skeptical of Pandaren to begin with, because in my brain they’d always been there and they already had a basis circa WC3, some Vanilla quests and the RPG lore they got written for them; so I had no issue finally seeing a long-standing Warcraft race actually make it in-game (shame about the models though lmao).
Dracthyr however just. . .don’t have any of this. They have no lore. They have no real characters. They had and have no real relevance to anything (for some reason) and for the brief period they were part of the questing experience Blizzard was absolutely deadset on making as many of them into quirky sixteen year-olds as possible. Arguably, they detract from existing Draconic races such as the Drakonids by existing as a “middle option” even.
I am saying this, mind, as someone who had an entire twenty-five page guild concept ready to go for Dracthyr on Day 1, there was a discord with a tonne of people and everything ready to see it through. Unfortunately, what everyone wanted from them (Titan-Dragon Super Soldiers) never actually ended up materialising. So the idea of a Guild led by a Watcher, with a Wing-Commander and then different Dracthyr split into what I coined as ‘Titanic Paths’ never really materialised, as exciting as I found the concept of having a guild with such an ordered, regimented structure where individual Dracthyr would swear themself to a specific Dragonflight and Titan and undergo trials to prove themselves capable of that role.
Some things just…can’t be fixed, I guess. Blizzard and the average rper have botched it so such an intense degree that it just feels like poison in people’s mouths now, and there’s no remedy for that.
Helldivers deployed a new bot force, the Incineration Corps, which is absolutely murderous if you don’t have flame resist armour on. Devastators get a shotgun flamer which can oneshot you, new hulks with flame mortars, troopers with flamers,
Interesting that the Predator/Gloom strains of bugs encouraged a switch of weapons but bots encourages a switch of armour. Weapon wise there’s really no need to adjust what you used before. Purifier worked before, it works now.
I mean, counterpoint, that applies to a lot of existing races/allied races too.
Draenei were a straight up retcon/adjustment of what we had in Frozen Throne.
Highmountain Tauren were just Tauren but super blessed and, y’know, also apparently had been friends with the Nelves back during the Sundering but they somehow apparently forgot the Tauren before WC3 I guess?
Don’t get me started on Void Elves - Oh, sorry, we can’t have High Elves because they’re, uh, there’s not enough of them left. Yeah.
Oh, but here is ONE group of niche researchers, they’re a whole new counts-as-race now. Because reasons.
People complain about Dragonkin and Drakonid and, sorry, I think people are a bit nuts if they ever thought we were going to ge them? Dragonkin have a quadruped body rig, no way in hell we were getting that. And Drakonid are too big, Tauren are already massively squished from their canon size, we’d have to have the opposite problem of ‘Characters being too tall’ for Drak to be made player available. Same with Ogres, honestly.
I think this sounds cool as heck, though.
I need to play Helldivers again, its a ton of fun but life has just been throwing me curveballs nonstop for… what year is it? ._.
Moof Lord is going to school for 4 int points so I can use the spell that alleviates deathblight build up.
Also I need 3 more somber dragon smithing stones and no idea where I’m getting them from!
Wait, are you an Int build anyway or?
Cos Deathblight is a super niche thing to be speccing that for ![]()
Nope. Faith/Arcane.
Yes it is, but waiting around in the deathblight catacomb for the blight to wear off was starting to annoy me.
Ooooh that one.
Use the Black Knife’s ability on the statues. You can’t ‘kill’ them, but it (certainly used to) set their ‘hp’ to zero. The animation happens, but the effect doesn’t ![]()
I just slapped on all the talismans/shields that boosted vitality. When it comes to the other resistances, the DLC +2 horn talismans can give you more resistance than god.
What do you mean? Emberthal is a dracthyr and she’s the black dragon aspect!
Ebonhorn? Nah sounds fake.
It’s actually kinda crazy how little the Dracthyr got storywise. They didn’t even have a proper DF zone for themselves, just snippets here and there but they played second fiddle (second wing?) to everyone else even in their own expansion.
I think the biggest problem was the ‘civilian’ dracthyr showed up too fast. Shouldn’t have really been any hints of them before at least Sarkareth’s death, maybe even the expac end, where they go “okay, dragon isle threat defeated…now what?”
Year of the Snake ![]()
Kept you waiting, huh?
Only got surprised by my partner proposing with a crocheted patch of two hedgehogs after we came home!
Aaaaaaa [ happy stims into the sun]
I know about hitting the eyes, you can do it with both black flame spells too.
There have been other situations with a basilisk ambush where I wish I had it too.
Congrats!!
I know I said spoil yourselves but DAMN. (Happy for you both!!)
this is a genuine problem for every new race since legion tbh. while a lucky few such as nightborne and the lightforged, the zandalari and kul tirans, get content centered around them for their expac and a little while after, the side races just…dont always. if a new race is one thats pre-established in lore its fine. dark irons have plenty. if their new they will get a singular zone where they might not be the sole focus and that might be it. highmountain, vulpera, mechagnomes (Mechagon was their sole focus but it was happening alongside Nazjatar tbf.). Drachtyr were just…side characters to the real dragons lets be fair. its nothing new. doesnt make it suck less
Also congrats!
Just had DA: Veilguard crash for the first time. Generic CE code naturally so it tells me effectively nothing.
Hopefully it’s not the start of a -thing-.
Did my final timewalking dungeon to get to 75 before timewalking is over. Got a neck.
At least it’s an upgrade every time.
This is the game telling you to make Lintian a giraffe-woman ( Please don’t though!)
An elezen you mean?
