Do you want me to unhinged post about ideas for Forsaken stuff?
Unironically hoping the Ghostlands in Midnight has a Forsaken population that simply settled there after TBC/After Sylvâs breakdown. Makes sense for it being a potential home for Forsaken that went âsod this!!!â.
Capital city rebuilt so that both the surface AND the undercity are full fledged capitals.
Former Alterac ruins colonised - the Forsaken donât really care about the cold.
Royal Apothecary Society takes control of the former Dalaran crater and boots out the Kirin Tor.
They reblight Southshore just for good measure to send a message.
Scarlet Monastery conquered once and for all with a vast re-establishment of the Forgotten Shadow in its place. Natalie Seline is given the Forsaken model she SHOULD have had since Legion. She sees that Calia has been controlled by the Naaru and uses a shadow injection to free her from the destiny they had planned for her.
Beard customisation added.
Dark Ranger customisation added to allow you to play a DR with Forsaken racials.
More Forsaken body types added to encompass other races in addition to humans (gnomes, dwarves, elves) that were commonplace in Lordaeron during the Scourging.
Nathanos returns as a scrunkly uggo (affectionate).
Paladins added with additional shadow customisation glyphs/class skin so you can play either a flagellant or a shadowguy.
Also renuke Stormwind Park just to send another message while weâre at it.
Yeah why would dracthyr make sense as paladins they only have
[checks notes]
Literally Tyr, the Hand guy, the Paladin dude, a whole Tyr
Iâm taking this and a side of fries, thanks.
Acceptable solution
Just hoping Metzen remembers the original inspo for Forsaken
Which is arguably more Tyr than humans had with their louse little hand.
Spite is the best reason for the Forsaken to do anything, honestly
Anytime mellon. It delights me to be able to help friends over there.
Elly already mentioned a lot of stuff but since Iâm waiting on a rare here is a bit of my personal wish list:
Rebuild at the very least upper Lordaeron city into a usable place. You donât even have to add too much outside of flavour and an easy way to get there for RP. The area is compact enough to not required endless amounts of work. Arguably far more manageable compared to stuff weâve gotten since. They can have the lower areas as some Gnomeregan style questing or dungeon if they donât want to add it back to the city. You can bake in what happened this way, so new people donât have to play through BfA and SL to look for context.
Give the monastery to the Forsaken. Rewrite a bunch of the Cult of the Forgotten Shadow lore so it fits better into the modern setting. Let the Forsaken actually play a big role in the religion/turn Natalie Seline undead. Shove all of that into the monastery.
Watch Scarlet roleplayers cry.
Do something with the whole âundead through Naaru resurrectionâ thing. Either handle it so it makes sense or write it out so it doesnât repeat. Maybe turn Calia into an actual undead.
Not much you can do to actually fix Derek, sadly. But you could make him more than âguy who hangs out in the background when Calia is thereâ.
Like for example: Giving Lordaeron the port it actually should have along itâs giant coastline. Let Derek handle some ships.
Do something with the âAlterac was taken by the Forsakenâ mention. The area wasnât even really touched by Cata and really could do with a facelift. Forsaken do not care about the cold, itâs a good place to be.
Iâd take some new building designs too. The Cata ones have good ideas but are really unwieldy to be in. Thereâs either too much or too little usable space and it always feels off.
Get Gamepass for a month, play it for a week, finish it, cancel, move on.
Might be, but the Tyr-worship was only a part of being a paladin. Granted, a very important part, but not the whole thing.
And I feel as though Tyrâs dragon-stuff and his status as an important figure in the Church of Holy Light has been kept pretty seperate. There was the brief Tyrsguard thing for a time but you suddenly donât hear about that anymore.
Not to mention, most of the races that got paladin atleast seem to have some kind of faith or religion that they follow. The Drachtyr do not have that , since they were artificial creations , and who have only recently woken up and are now discovering what they want to be.
And given Blizzard didnât give them the paladin when they gave them the other classes next to Evoker, I guess they too donât see a drachtyr paladin work.
I glue a Cult of the forgotten Shadow poster onto your back while you arenât looking.
Granted, I would have to read up on the cult of forgotten shadow.
That said, I suppose I -could- live with a forsaken paladin atleast, if they were a paladin in life or something. Someone like Leonid Bartholomew could fit that bill I think, -if- Blizz were to ever decide it. Forsaken atleast still have some connection to the Light and it would not feel as convoluted to me.
The lore is old and forgotten and doesnât entirely work with how shadow/void have been handled more recently.
They really took that âforgottenâ part serious.
But hereâs a link
Nah buddy you are correct.
In fact more classes should be restricted to races.
And not to sound like a damn hypocrite, if they restricted priests from tauren posthumously, so be it! I will go down with the ship I am on board if only to take down the captain!
Thatâs more to do with paladins (and shaman and druids) never getting added to anyone, because blizzard would rather chew their own face off rather than add a single model for the three classes
Easy example, no earthen druids despite the Freyrsworn being a major faction and the most druidy druids to ever druid
now, you look me directly in the mouth and tell me that a dracthyr diving out the sky shining with Light like a comet and slamming into an enemy is not one of the raddest things you have ever heard
If weâre shooting high for things that will not happen, reinstate Alterac as a Forsaken vassal state and give humans to the horde as Syndicate mercs.
Also now I want Monastery of the Forgotten Shadow really badly, thanks.
Stratholme would finally be settled, a joint venture between the Argents, the Forsaken, and the Blood Elves. It would serve as a major city of the Horde with a small portion of it accessible to Alliance so that theyâve got a flight path.
Trying to enter the Horde section rolls a dice. A Blood Elf guard response has you stunned and teleported out, like in Dalaran. A Forsaken guard response has them attack and attempt to kill you. Success has them dump your body back in the Argent section.
Youâre welcome. Enjoy the brainworms.
i sigh as i eye forsaken on the char creator while im still in the throes of my oblivion fixation
thanks blythan . . .
