Pet peeves: The return (Part 3)

Counter offer: The slayer in me seeks death!

Hurajin’s only purpose is to be there to help you recover if you die or let Huton drop

You don’t use it for anything else

I need to see what else Danuser has worked on, because I’m really curious what his writing portfolio looks like.

What else has he worked on? How well was it received? I need to know.

Understandable, game updates and wait times are awful.

See my memory is awful but not that awful.

I just want my bring arts figure man…

So I finally caved and decided to buy Total War:Warhammer 3 ( wish I’d done it sooner cause I had to pay for the ogres) and so far my pc is running it pretty well on medium settings, and it looks acceptable!

Currently playing as Kislev and dear lord, Khorne is absolutely terrifying to fight against, especially Skarbrand. Thankfully the AI can be played ( and im playing on normal, im a scrub I know) and I managed to use its tendencies agaisnt it.

So I was fighting Skarbrand in the realm of Khorne, and there’s a huge blood pool in the middle that serves as marshland. Managed to get them to advance at me through the pool, being all slowed, while Skarbrand flew ahead so I could pick him off. All in all, very satisfying battle, and im glad I got the game.

I also befriended Kraka Drak and am hoping to soon have some Dawi fighting for me!

Easy campaign, normal battle.
The balance is shot in many cases, so I’d rather have fun then jump out of a window in rage.
But still, need mods or big map.

Go for Karak Kadrin. Ungrim starts with a slayer shrine, so you can buy slayers the minute you have an outpost.

Oh and watch for Miao Ying and Zhao Ming’s caravans. Get alliances with them too.

I finally got it and while I have much less problems than what’s yelled about online, some stuff like snow on the world map really sinks my performance.

On the plus side, the game doesn’t seem to suffer that much when zoomed on the fighting which has been a problem since at least rome 2.

Daemonettes are adorable.

Once you go hard, you’e self harming since the AI gets to cheat so much and where’s the fun in counter cheese just to survive another turn?

AI chasing Player has been a huge problem in many games and it’s a well curated myth that it only applies to Hard+.

God-Slayer recommended first campaign?

With at least four factions immediately sending stacks to crush your hopes and dreams? Tree elves, germans and ra-ra-rasputin beating down your door with full stacks by the time you have one province?

Lol. Lmao.

Nah, I’m gonna spam streltsy in his face with Elsa.

I love my big caveman boys so much. It’s been pretty calm thus far and plowing through skaven is funny.

Don’t talk to me about that. Bleh. BLEH!

Cav melting on things is also, still pain.

Story-wise, perfect choice for a first campaign.

In terms of actually playing, trying to understand four entire rosters of units along with favour to consider as well as inventory management, is my idea of torturing a new player

Especially when the end result is an underwhelming legendary Lord. Poor Daniel, he needs some love

Some of the appearances you can end up with are pretty awesome though.

Fighting Nurgle army. 1,2,4,5 food used, close victory.
3 food used, decisive victory.
How does that work?

No arguments there, just not a new player friendly faction - it’d be like giving someone the entirety of the Bretonnia, Empire and Kislev roster after they played a tutorial with Greenskins and being like ‘ok bye have fun!’

Keep Grey Seer scum away!

On the point of new player factions, I’d actually say Miao Ying is a better option. Nice and safe in the Bastion.

Decisive is total war for “you utterly squished them” while Close means “they got some of yours”. Close is Average and ranges from a few units taken losses to much of your army being wiped out. Phyrric means you could’ve done better.

Dunno, I did okay but then the tzeentch army to the north pewpew’d my whole army.

Thats not very “Wort wort wort” of them.

I know what each one means, you moobenheim.
It’s more the fact that why is it close for ogre food at 1,2,4 and 5. But Decisive at 3.

I’ve played many many many hours of the previous games and done a lot of campaigns with my other half. I know a pyrrhic victory… Wood elves 0 arrows.
