its what tears me up. i am an absolute mage appreciator on every setting im in. first character in every mmo or rpg is always a mage. wow? warlock and mage. gw2? elementalist. eso? sorcerer. LotR has one of the most limited magic systems in fantasy as proper magecraft is limited mostly to the Five Wizards with elves having their own taxxing variation.
Middle-earth is a low-magic setting, yeah. I personally think itâs a feature, not a bug.
I donât know what class to play. My current character is a low-level minstrel, but Iâm considering rerolling to something more solo-friendly. And, sadly, all the good Sindarin names are already taken.
Hunter so far has been very fun solo, so I recommend that if you like the archetype. You can use the campfires around the world as an additional milestone teleport with no cooldown after lvl 26.
You also get no cooldown teleports to all starting locations at certain levels(so Michel Delving, Bree, Thorinâs Halls etc).
Speaking of grouping warlocks and necromancers, WoW desperately needs a necro reskin for the warlock class, not least because who would go to demons for power after we showed conclusively that demons are chumps
My thought was for a questline where a warlock goes to Maldraxxus and is like âhey gang want to fight in the living world for a bitâ and the various named people are like âsure Maw Walker, we owe youâ
I just like the idea of casting Summon Doomguard and Balmedar appears
Parts of my personal aesthetic in real life are low-key inspired by Luthien in hindsight, in that I wear my long dark hair loose, and a lot of my wardrobe is long blue dresses. (It wasnât conscious and I only realized my possible unconscious inspiration later.) Iâm adventurous and carefree and like to spend time in the woods. And I fell in love with a woman with a dark and troubled past against the wishes of my parents (you can guess why).
⌠Iâm nowhere as beautiful, though, but comparing oneself to an idealized fictional character is unfair anyway.
